“We had a great stay at this well set up condo with outdoor patio. Comfortable bed and sitting area and basic kitchen supplies but adequate. The property manager was available when needed and gave us space when not which was nice! Short walk to the beach for a dip. The owner was lovely and communicative when needed. Would happily stay again!”

“Our 3 night stay at Elan was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Its location was perfectly situated for tranquility, privacy and peacefulness. We enjoying coffee on the terrace every morning as we watched the birds and monkeys play around. The only disappointing part about our stay is that we didn't have the opportunity to stay longer.”

“Good location between Ojochal and Uvita. Driveway into property not well marked, especially at night. Some deep ruts at turn into driveway, so be careful if not in SUV. Mono is a big unit, with nice balcony. Unfortunately, lack of screens on windows keeps it from cooling in afternoons and during the night. Nice A/C for the bedroom. Pro tip: you can walk to Villa Leonor at Ballena Beach Club. For the price of lunch or dinner, you can access Playa Ballena, one of the nicer beaches in the area.”

“The property is located in Uvita which is a small quite area. The beach is not that easily accessed. The actually property was less than advertised. There are centipedes galore... I would go on a centipede hunt every night to remove them from the condo... and there were two cockroaches in the condo. There is not a tv, very few cooking utensils, pots, etc and the lack of air conditioning was a problem for the living room. We had all the doors/windows open one day and that night I was eaten by...

“ We travelled to Central America from Canada, to escape the winter and the major plan was to bring along our golf clubs and to book places with golf privileges included; San Buenas being the 3rd of such bookings. We rented a 2 wheel, drive car in Jaco ( mistake) and set off for San Buenas. We travelled off the main highway, following the well advertised signs for San Buenas, drove through a small dirt road village, met up with Lou, The Property Manager ( fantastic, by the way) and proceeded up...

“The place is isolated, and very dark,felt scared at night. It is not mentioned that it is only a few meters away from a main highway and trucks are constant 24/7 drowning out any of the peaceful sounds we were hoping for and making it difficult to sleep. The apartment was probably lovely once but it is tired and not maintained very well. I note that the building is for sale and that would account for this. We are in our 70s so unsuitable for us.”

“A nice house that has fallen into disrepair. No response to maintenance requests, couldn’t take a proper shower in the luxurious bathroom because the shower head blew apart from air & water pressure. Then had no water at all the following day due to a problem in a downstairs unit. This is hardly a resort as they call it. And access to the beach is incorrect and not honored by the management of that property.”

“Mysigt hotell med 9 småhus för gästerna mitt i djungeln. Bra utgångsläge mitt emellan Dominical och uvita för utflykter. Behjälplig personal som hjälper till med bokningar av utflykter till bilhyrning. Utmärkt mat i restaurangen. Men något sämre frukostalternativ.”
