Disappointment
The room looked like it has not been used for a while. The fridge was dirty we had to use antibacterial wipe to clean inside. There were no towels and no soap, when I asked I was told all the towels have been washed.The bathroom was not clean, towel holder was broken. There was no water on second day

The property looked nice in the pictures and it was very misleading to what i saw at the hotel, the cup when they offered us drinks had mould we didnt get to eat at the hotel the rooms the bathroom was dirty we told them to clean it, the bedsheets were dirty the internet was non existent when in the room we had to come out of the room to actually get internet, we changed rooms and the internet was still not working. The pool was dirty the only time it was clean when the manager was having his party i wasted money on this hotel i would never stay here again at all they need to take down the pictures as its very misleading. I should of paid what i thought the stay was worth like on the programme four in the bed. Their hospitality was wack, they had works going on in the hotel and nothing was getting sorted leaks coming in from the rain into our room, they had a generator and they never put it on when the rain was falling and the lights cutting out. The back up generator was not working either the people there were nice but i would never stay here again i give it 1 star out of 5. Please do not stay at this hotel i booked for 2 weeks but ending my stay to check out in 3 days because of the way the hotel was running.

It is day two only and the bedakes me deel like I was hit by a bus. Lying on a stack of hay may feel a little better. I may be checking out early if I cannot het a better room of comfort.

This hotel is GARBAGE, the pictures posted don't reflect the facility at all. The pool is dirty, there are holes in the ceiling upstairs, the drain in our shower was slow as hell, AC didn't work, wifi was a joke, bed hard as a rock, COMPLETE SCAM! Even the property manager told me the pictures on Expedia were old and they need to do renovations. I asked for a refund after only staying 1 night in this filth and was told no, completely unfair so I will be filing a lawsuit. Please don't waste your time or money booking here!

The staff was very nice, and the view was perfect. The my group stayed in the suite. The shower/bathtub was weird and set up unusual. We had an issue where when bathing we would get electrocuted a little but we told the staff about the issue. They had an electrician look at it, but it stayed the same. Breakfast was simple but good. Restaurant was overpriced and took a long time. Walls were dirty, room dusty, but overall an ok hotel. Around 40 minutes to the nearest airport. Make sure you're aware that the water in the room is not free. The put 24 bottles in our room and we used half of them, but wanted us to pay for all 24, which is 48 cedis. Needs some work but pretty ok.

The décor in my room was nice for me. Many may not like it. I loved the balcony too. The hotel needs work doing it. However rest assured that if you need anything fixing the staff are very supportive and on hand to meet your needs. Things are changing for the better so don't rule it out.

Nothing like the pictures. No way it should be a 4-star hotel, not even 3. Old is one thing, but cleanliness should be a minimum. We booked 2 rooms, the sheets were not changed, the pillows stunk of BO. My room smelled so bad probably because of the moldy fridge. There was no soap in the bathroom. We checked in and tried to get some work done, but couldn't charge our phones nor use the WIFI because there was no power and they didn't want to turn on the generators until 5 pm for some reason. We left our luggage there went for dinner and found another hotel and left, couldn't spend the night there. I contacted Hotels.com, they said the owner didn't want to refund any of the 2 nights stay (although we didn't see any other occupants, the rooms on our floor were wide open and empty), we just used the room to keep our luggage there for a few hours (not over night), so the least they could've done is refunded 1 night. Hotels.com gave me $100 credit which doesn't cover 1 night, which was disappointing. The people working there were very nice though.

Thank you for your response. We welcome very comment of guest ti help us improve on our services to guests or clients. I would like to respond to some of the comments made which are not true. The rooms the guest booked where standard rooms and we upgraded the rooms which we did not charge extra. Power was out but we put on generator in the next 1hour due to a maintenance been done on the generator which we made them aware. Rooms where checked before they arrived. Their complain was the hotel is a bit distance from where they have their meetings and told us that is why they can not stay. There were other guests but in their rooms and some went to town and some guests checked out before they arrive and some were will be checking in the following day. There was nothing like no soap and rooms smelling, they wrote all these comments because refund can not be done due to our cancellation policy when booking. Thank you once again.

Decent-sized hotel with pool
A long way from the city centre and airport and traffic is heavy so bear this in mind if wanting to be able to be mobile (taxis the next option). Staff friendly on the whole.lots of silly extra charges ‘extra milk’ being my favourite, for breakfast etc. but did at least change my dates after a delayed flight from Lisbon (of three days). Basic, reasonably-priced and jazz-themed. Nice to have a pool and bar. One memeber if staff, Patrick, was outstanding and went beyond the call of duty.

...I booked the Hotel because of its swimming pool, but it was not clean and every day needed to be cleaned, of course what not every day was done. ...The shower in my room was very primitive and unhandy, no curtain around the bathtub, every time the whol floor got wet and slippery, its hose too short for my hight, by the way I am just about 6 ft high. ...The breakfast was monotone, every day eggs and preparing of 2 eggs (breakfast) took nearly 40 minutes. ...I had the smallest room and no wardrobe was there, as I asked they provided one, and said a little bigger room costs more, and I had to pay.

Nice Hotel
The hotel was nice, the staff was great. 24 hour Security and front desk service. We was on our Honeymoon so our room got upgraded without charge. We really enjoyed the breakfast that was included and the baloney to our room. The hotel needs attention and repairs around it, since it is old but, it was beautiful. The area around it is lacking and nothing close by to enjoy.

Quiet...except when they rent the place out for weddings or other events... Breakfast is basically eggs and fruit... Nice staff...beautiful gardens and pool.

So charming
This was my favorite stay in Ghana AA I stayed in 3 different places. The charm, the feeling of being in your family's home, made this a great place for me. The staff is great and I love that there's a pool!

Nice hotel
Hotel was comfortable and relaxing. My biggest problem: They say they only transport you one way to or from the airport, but they don't always show up for that one trip! I had to take a taxi 6 times out of 8 trips (I've stayed there 4 times)

Perfect Ghanaian hotel with great facilities
I stayed in total 4 nights before and after a trip to Eastern Region. The staff are just wonderful and the hotel has brilliant facilities, all very clean and relaxing. Rooms are also very clean and nicely furnished, some with balconys overlooking the pool. Whether business or leisure, the food, welcome, setting and beds here will make for an enjoyable visit. I'll definitely be back.

Internet pictures deceiving
No hot water. Filthy towels. Poor condition. Lost money on two days. I booked for 3 nights and only stayed a few hours. Decided that sometimes it pays to shell out a little more cash to get what you want. Hotel shuttle was a vary old dirty station wagon. Good had to be ordered from a nearby restaurant but they call it room service. Staff were nice But I care about were I lay my head. Now I understand why the price is so cheap. You pay for what you get. Believe it!!!! Area people coming to use the swimming pool. The list goes on....I was so disappointed with the conditions that I decided to forfeit the stay and travel.

Tell your driver for El'Orr Castle
Nice place. Parts of it were a bit rundown...in need of remodeling, but our room was brand new. Staff was very helpful. The only major problem was finding the place. Turns out the hotel has two names for some reason, and the main name on the sign is El'Orr Castle, not Accra Royal Castle. Because of this we got tunred down by two cab drivers because they didn't know where it was, even though we were less than two miles away. Luckily the third driver took us based on the google maps location, which turned out to be right.

Great place!
I enjoyed very much my stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and always eager to please and make my stay more comfortable. The main manager was absolutely a pleasure to talk to, and my concerns about the cleanliness of the room were immediately taken care. Besides the few rainy days I experienced during my stay, the pool area was pleasant and clean. I enjoyed my room in second floor with a balcony. At night, the skies were gorgeous, warm, and peaceful!

in der Lobby 2 Toiletten für Gäste außer Betrieb. Im Restaurant keine Klimaanlage keine Ventilatoren. Zimmer war ok aber für 130 $ zu teuer. Pool war schmutzig, wurde dann nächsten Tag gereinigt, scheint aber keine permanente Filteranlage zu haben. Das Personal ist freundlich und versucht Ihr bestes. Jede Ausgabe für eine Reparatur muss vom Eigentümer in Holland genehmigt werden, somit ist der Manager machtlos. Continental breakfast besteht aus Rührei ohne Zwiebeln und Gewürze 2 Scheiben Toast und Schwarztee. Das Personal ist für Accra unterbezahlt somit schlecht motiviert. Das Essen wird aus einem anderem Restaurant bezogen. Der Flughafen Pickup funktioniert aber gut. Schnelles Internet über Wlan verfügbar.

The service at this hotel is very poor. They took forever to deliver a order and seemed to charge for everything. They calculated everything incorrectly and overcharged us for some unnecessary items. The only good point for this hotel was that the night watchman was very helpful. The advert of the room was incorrect and we had to request a change of room. I'm not a moany person but contently kept asking for things to be done, and even after the complain they still wasn't done. All in all not a great experience but done the job.

It was very welcoming and staff were very helpful.
It was very pleasant and welcoming experience. The accommodation was of good standards and staff were very helpful in all aspects of customer services.

Budget hotel very far from city center
Finding a reasonably priced hotel in Accra, Ghana is a hard thing to do, especially when you are a family of 4. So, not knowing anything about the city, we were happy to pay about one hundred dollars a night per room. I do want to point out that the staff tried their best to be accommodating and EXTREMELY pleasant the entire time. That said, it is definitely not a 4 star hotel for the following reasons: 1) It is at least a 45 minute ride to the hotel from Accra's city center. And then 45 minutes back. While this might not seem like much, it cuts out almost 2 hours out of your day -- and if you want to go anywhere to eat, usually that will be in city center. Count on at least 2 - 4 hours in a taxi per day. 2) The accommodations are basic. There is a decent bathroom. The king-sized bed was the HARDEST mattress I have ever slept on. The pillows also were very hard. There were no chests or drawers to place clothes -- only a closet with no hangers. So we used our suitcases. The bath mat probably had not been washed in a while. 3) The building itself was ok clean. Not uber clean, but functionally clean. There were multiple holes cut into the ceiling of the hallways for what I assume were for repairs, but it left an impression of lack of repair. 4) The pool was never cleaned. Chemicals were thrown in, but never cleaned. 5) The food was very basic. Basic rice, basic chicken. And service was SLOW. In the end, come for the price, not for the hotel

Ghanaian Hotel With a Pool
When we arrived, the staff was really helpful. The hotel is in a great setting around the pool with individual eating areas and a lot of activity going on. First disappointment is that the air conditioning did not work well, we could not adjust the temperature and the room was very hot - it took about 8 hours to cool down to a reasonable temperature. The pool was inviting and the best part of the hotel was a wonderful grilled tilapia fish dinner which we split between us and was the best meal we had in Ghana and for a reasonable price. The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the refusal to honor the one-way access to the airport which was supposedly included in our Expedia voucher. We had independent transportation to the hotel from Winneba to Accra so the hotel's charge of $25 U.S. to go to the airport was both disappointing and unexpected. They claimed that their policy was not to provide one-way transportation when the guest(s) stayed only one night. Expedia should have been aware of this or we should have been informed beforehand and we urge you to refund us our $25 U.S.

Für nicht gerade anspruchsvolle Hotelgäste
Hotel ok für westafrikanische Verhätnisse. Frühstück könnte vom Hotelleitung aus vielfältiger gestaltet werden, so dass man nicht alles einzeln aussuchen und bestellen muss. Lange Wartezeiten bis Essen serviert wird. Essen sehr lecker, aber Menü wenig international. Der Koch ist aber sehr gut und Sonderwünsche sind möglich. Sehr freundliches Personal und Hotelleitung.
