Loved staying at Ag Palace Hotel
A fantastic place to stay in. Amazingly helpful and caring staff. The staff is just a call away to help with the guest's daily requests. A great place for quite an affordable price 👌👌

Hotellet ligger nära den nya spårvagnstrafik linje som Addis har lätt att förflytta sig till olika stadsdelar.

Nice hotel, location a little off.
Good standard for the price, considering it is Ethiopia. I would not recommend arriving after dark on foot, it is located on a real sidestreet where there were no proper lighting. Comfortable bed nice breakfast. Hot water in the showers.

Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal, inklusive managern. Rent och välvårdat. Nackdelen var att även taxichaufförerna hade svårt att hitta hotellet.

Taxi chafförerna hade svårt att hitta hotellet. Vägen till hotellet är dåliga. Har beställt mat från hotellets restaurang 5 gånger och det gick inte att äta alla fem gångerna.

No reason to stay
Hotel located in difficult area; no taxi driver finds it easily if picked in street. 300 m dirt road to closest connection of "real road". Rooms are really small; if two persons in the "suite" then hardly room even to open bags. services according to internet page not corresponding. But at least friendly staff. in total: not so good value for money.

Good alternative
This small and very friendly family hotel is a perfect alternative for you who appreciate comfort service and price. Well worth the money at this time a year.

The hotel was so nice and clean ,but the area where the hotel needs road that is good for taxi and for other car service and the hotel restroom door does not close , there is no doorknob , if their is smile in the bathroom , it will come to your bed

The hotel is off a dirt road and integrated with a local community. I personally didn't mind, and I felt it gave the hotel a more local feeling. The hotel facilities are great and the rate is very affordable. Overall my experience was great.

El hotel en general nos gustó mucho, la habitación amplia, limpia y servicio de habitaciones diario. El desayuno buffet tenía amplia variedad de elecciones (tanto comida etíope como internacional). El personal del hotel muy servicial y amable y todo ello a muy buen precio. Sin duda un sitio al que recomiendo ir.

Overall good
Positive-good simple breakfast, staff were friendly, clean room. Good distance to town, bus station and approx 15-25mins to museums Negative- no lift, hot water cuts off after approx 6 mins so possibly on timer.

Great place for the money. Fantastic service!
So my phone got stolen out of my pocket my first day walking around Meskel Square, but I can't hold the hotel staff responsible for that. The service was really fantastic. Members of staff lent me their personal phones to use and, when it was a cold night and I asked for an extra blanket, the staff remembered the next day and made the bed with the extra blanket again. I didn't sleep much due to jetlag and wild dogs barking intermittently at all hours of the night, but again, I can't hold the staff responsible for that. The hotel restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The only real flaws of this place were: 1. No one knows where it is (tell them it's near the Gollagul Tower), though I don't know if that's helpful if you yourself don't know where you're going. 2. The hotel is down a short stretch of really terrible road that taxis have to skillfully crawl over. Apparently, it's been like this for years. 3. The shower, while providing hot water, provided "Ethiopia-level" water pressure i.e. a trickle.

Electricity and wifi off more than on with no fixing. what is the deal? It’s a hotel in 2019 with no regular working electricity? Room with kitchen is not a kitchen. It is a kitchen sink. Place and bathroom was clean and showers working. Breakfast not bad.

The supplier, Ethiopian Electricity Authority has officially announced that there is shortage of supplies and they are working to fix problem soon. we do have a backup generator that we operate mainly at night. We do not want to charge guest more for the rooms to compensate for the Fuel. We still wants our room rates to be affordable and excellent value for money.

Greetings dear guest, Thank you for taking time to review our Hotel. The electricity problem is beyond our level. The Ethiopian electric Authority ( the government ) who is responsible to manage this had officially announced that there is shortage of supplies and they are working to fix the problem soon. Thus everyone in Addis Ababa expects shortage at some time during the day. Saying that , we do have a backup generator that we operate at night . we do not want to charge guest more for the room to compensate fuel cost during day time.

Great customer service but Weak/low speed WiFi Almost inaccessible by foot so a new road (asphalt) to the hotel replacing the current one would be nice.

Great value for money, some maintenance needed
Overall, when comparing this hotel to other hotels in the same price range, this hotel is a great value for money. It's clean, has a convenient location, restaurant, free breakfast, Wifi all of which you would not necessarily expect when paying under 30 USD. The only thing I would advise the owner is to invest in more solid equipment, especially in the bathroom. The plastic toilet covers break, the soap holder falls off, the shower head is falling apart etc. It pays off in the long term...Also the access road is bumpy and not paved for the last 50-100 m, not much to do about it, just expect it.

Clean rooms comfy bed reasonable price
It was amazing place given how cheap the price is. It was really clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was basic but for the price the hotel charges per night it's really good. We had a pleasant stay. I highly recommend this place 👌👌👌

This place has great customer service, great breakfast buffet with several option and clean rooms. The place is near 22 and easy for transportation via taxi or driving to Bole or other attractions nearby.
