It’s a place to stay …
Arrived at the property to check in at 6pm after 6hrs of driving, it was very obvious it hadn’t been cleaned by the filled bathroom trash. The property owner was attentive to our problems and sent cleaning crew out. However, they didn’t leave the property until after 8pm and there were very obvious spots in the bathroom not cleaned. There’s absolutely no privacy - the windows have no blinds (and the place is 80% windows) so if you’re looking for a romantic getaway - this is probably not it!!! The owner refunded us cleaning fees ($50….$25 a night…) …. Which is kind of insulting since we totally lost an entire night of our stay to the inconvenience. It’s a place to stop for a night, but very very uncomfortable.

Yes, as we discussed we had a last-minute booking before you and the information did not get to our cleaning staff, which is entirely unacceptable and is why we refunded twice the cleaning fee. Sorry if that was not satisfactory to you. There are blinds in the bedroom, but as for the rest of the cabin, we opted for the natural light and view of the lake and mountainside rather than more of a " cave sheik" approach. Most people enjoy it, but I guess it's not for everyone. Best of luck on your future travels.

Fall Getaway!!!
Adorable cottage! Comfortable and clean. The view is awesome…right on Beaver Pond! Love the location. This was our second trip. I would highly recommend this rental!

Peaceful Getaway
My 2 adult kids and I stayed here last year and wanted to return for a couple days of peace and tranquility. Fish off the dock, listen to the owls at night, plus the stars are amazing. Jon is a great host, this was just what we needed. Highly recommended for a quaint little cabin getaway.

Lake getaway
Cozy and clean, great location, quiet but close to everything. Upstairs not really suitable for adults to sleep. The screen porch was a savior due to bugs, etc. Quick response from owner when hot water went out.

Relaxing
One of the most beautiful scenery and views. Relaxing on the deck with morning coffee ,sunrise and morning mist burning off pond and mountains. Fishing,canoeing and kayak were great. Swimming was awesome. Owners were always available to share information or answer questions.very pleasant and professional.no loons maybe next time. Black Bear stopped by twice. One night on a garbage raid , other was to let us know he’s still there. That was awesome. Walking the road and taking in the nature while talking with neighbors. Couldn’t ask for nicer weather and people. Highly recommend. General store is a must for pleasant owners and staff. Food was delicious. ThankYou beaver pond for such wonderful memories.

Private Family Getaway
This was a perfect vacation spot for a family getaway. The pond and deck were lovely, complete with a campfire and kayaks. The only problem was that Vrbo never sent us the standard email 3 days before, so we would know where the key was, so we just assumed that it would be somewhere obvious, which it was not. This turned into a lot of frustrating phone calls to Vrbo, trying to find out how we could get into the house. We had also sent an email (through Vrbo) to the owner, about a week before the trip, but never received a response. Besides that, the house was perfect. We loved the kitchen and living room area. Very cozy!

Adirondack Experience
We took sooo many pictures of the pond in different lighting, so pretty and tranquil! We saw turtles in the far end, a heron flew by almost everyday, and I think I saw an eagle soaring in the wind currents. Also… we had a 4 am wake up call with a black bear raiding the garbage can…we watched safely out the bedroom window and got a real thrill from it GREAT STAY!!! And the screen porch is awesome!!

Lovely Adorandack Vacation experience
This is our 2nd time staying here. We love it. The house is clean and the owners are very nice and answer any questions you have. The location is perfect. It is a very quiet relaxing location to just connect with nature and decompress. Yet minutes away from attractions.

Weekend getaway
Overall not a bad place. Beautiful views & nice and quiet setting. Our issue was the lack of cleanliness. You know you have a rental, it would be nice if the dried blood was cleaned out of the bathroom sink and the mouse poop was cleaned out of the pots and pans. We elected not to use the pots and pans & bought disposable utenils & plates for our use. It really is a nice place, but the simple lack of attention to cleaniness will make us not want to return.

Christian, We have the property professionally cleaned at the beginning of the season and between each set of guests, so I am perplexed by the comments you left. Had you shared this information with me upon arrival, we would have addressed them, however, this is the first I am hearing about them, after the fact. As you are the first guest of the season, you probably saw some residual antifreeze, pink in color, in the sink drain. Not dried blood. As for mouse droppings, there is no excuse for them and I will address the issue with a professional pest control company immediately. Cute cabin
The cabin was quaint and quiet. We planned lots of tourist sightseeing and the trips were not too far (but also not a 5 minute drive). The pond was absolutely beautiful in autumn. Hosts were very responsive when we communicated.

Low-key girls weekend
We had a great fall weekend girls glamping trip. Small, quiet pond in the Adirondacks. Foliage was great. Many great hiking trails just a short drive away. Cabin was beautiful. There is a road between the cabin and the pond that is not super-busy, but is not easily seen in the photos. Kitchen had most everything stocked except wine glasses. Host was very responsive! Overall, we had a great time!

All’s well that ends well.
The location is remote with few other building and people around. This is what we wanted when we selected this property. There is a small dock and another area with chairs and a fire pit. This is a very quiet and peaceful place to let all the stress go for a while and just enjoy nature. Here’s what happened a few hours after we arrived. We just finished dinner and my wife started the dishes and discovered that the sink wouldn’t drain. I called right away and John said he would be out in an hour or so to check it out. When he arrived he realized he would need to snake the line to fix the problem. He immediately said he wants to do the right thing so he said he would refund the entire amount. Further we could come back after the repairs were completed and stay the next night on him. So every thing worked out fine and everyone was happy. So five stars for sure!

Great stay right by the water
My boyfriend (now fiancé) and I were delighted with our stay at Jonathan’s cabin! The view of the pond right out the windows was beautiful. Everything we needed was provided and the cabin was adorable and nicely decorated. Easy drive to Lake George and lots of hiking trails and restaurants. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful area, the peace and quiet was amazing, all you hear are the birds and crickets, as it should be. The cabin is cozy and just what we were looking for in a dog friendly place to stay for the weekend. Definitely recommend.

Awesome ADK trip!!!
We spent two weeks- swimming, kayaking, fishing, And hiking!!! Very quiet beautiful pond centrally located to many lakes. House was cute and view was amazing. Jonathan was easy to reach and super friendly. Most relaxing vacation ever!! Thx!

Best vacation ever in the Adirondacks!
We have been going to the Adirondacks for 12 years now and this is the best vacation spot for us. The house is warm and inviting. The views are breath taking. Even our dog had the most relaxing time ever. There are plenty of water activities to do or just relax on the dock. At night sitting by the firpit with the views of the mountains is a perfect ending to your day. The Krugers are great very helpful and quick respond to any question we had and they keep a nice clean house. I able to relax and enjoy the serene views and hear only the sounds of nature. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation this is the place to stay. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. Kim James and Cosmo.

Adorable and comfortable
Really great stay and we would rent again. It's really charming, right next to the water and very comfortable. Everything you need and great and easy communication with owners. A win! We found tons of stuff to do within 45 minutes....it's a great central location if you want to check out different parts of Lake George as well as Saratoga Springs.

Cozy cottage with an outstanding view
Cute and cozy cottage. The view is amazing. We really enjoyed using the kayaks and canoe on the pond literally steps from the front door. We used it as a jumping off point to do lots of hikes. It worked well for 2 people, might be a bit tight for larger groups. Note that you have supply your own linens.

Fantastic Getaway Cottage!
A perfect spot for a relaxing stay. The cottage and location were idyllic - even better than described - and the amenities were great. In addition to the kayaks, the outdoor grill and the deck and firepit right on the water, Jonathan made sure to stock whatever one might need or forget to bring. Good location for excursions to nearby lakes, rivers and hiking trails, too. Overall, an exceptional stay!
