Vackra pensionat är den dolda pärla i dalen

Denna vackert renoverade Colonial 1874 ligger på den historiska halvön och erbjuder det bästa från det förflutna och nutiden. Vi ligger inbäddat i hjärtat av Cuyahoga Valley National Park, vilket innebär vandring, cykling, skidåkning, bergsklättring och allt utomhus ligger precis vid din dörr.

Vid ankomst öppnar du de franska dörrarna och går in i den dubbla salongen i denna charmiga reträtt. Välj ett av de specialdesignade sovrummen med ett privat badrum och använd det fulla köket för att skapa "kulinariska mästerverk" som ska serveras i den formella matsalen. Om du föredrar att äta ute, finns det välsmakande eklektiska restaurangpubar på halvön eller restauranger i världsklass i Hudson 12 minuter längs vägen. Blossom Music Center ligger bara några mil bort, och ett brett utbud av musiker inklusive den berömda Cleveland Orchestra spelar där. På vintern kan du åka skidor på Boston Mills Brandywine skidort som ligger 2 mil längs vägen.

Promenera genom halvön, den avgörande "enstans ljusstad", och ta in konstgallerier, butiker och musikplatser, eller bara koppla av på verandan med din favoritdryck. På kvällen kan du bosätta dig med en bra bok eller spela ett brädspel från hemmets bibliotek.

The home met our needs for a family gathering. Each bedroom had a bathroom which was very helpful. Storage space was limited in several of the bathrooms and bedrooms (no closet or armoire). The setting was close to the activities that we wanted to do. The home was clean and furnished with many period pieces and features which gave it a comfortable and welcoming feel. The hosts were very resposive when we needed to reach out. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider the property again in the future for a similar family gathering.

Everything about this house is first rate. Hosts are great at communicating. The house is beautifully furnished and provides plenty of seating options for larger groups. The back porch is very comfortable, which we used every evening. We appreciated the excellent selection of K-Cups for the Keurig. The location is close to restaurants and convenient to the park. I highly recommend this house. Rent it and you'll be glad you did.

Great Family Landing for NP Trip

Wonderful space for grandparents and two families of 4! Kids loved the side yard and platform in the yard for performances. Also close walking to coffee & wine shop as well as Classical Academy with a great playground.

Family reunion

We had a wonderful time visiting family in Hudson. The blue hen was the ultimate place very clean, very comfortable and had all the accommodations we needed for a wonderful family weekend. Thanks so much for to our host.

Wonderful experience!

The Blue Hen Inn is a well cared-for and beautiful home. It is very clean and all four bedrooms have their own bathroom. The dining table is large and can accommodate at least 10 comfortably. It was perfect for our family. Although the main purpose of our stay was to visit Cleveland, we wished we had a few extra days to relax and enjoy this home and its amenities!!

5 Stars! This home was everything we had hoped for for our annual “girls” trip. It was so clean!!! And so well appointed. Everything we needed and even more. The beds are comfy and again, spotless! Even the towels were so nice. There was a cozy living room and an outside patio and a front porch swing. Super close to the National Park for a nice hike and close to Hudson for shopping and dining. A super cute bakery and coffee shop overlooking the River was within walking distance. We are planning on returning next year. The hosts were friendly, responsive and so generous. Ant say enough. An all time favorite.

Great Family Accommodations

We had a fantastic visit. This property was great for our multigenerational family. We took advantage of the large yard for the kids to play, the lovely dining room for family breakfasts. Great stay and wonderful to be able to comfortably stay in the same house!!

Wonderful Visit

Great property and accommodations. Historic house with perfect furnishings for a good stay. Kitchen is well equipped, sitting rooms are comfortable and the bedding is lovely. The outdoor patio provides a nice eating and entertainment area, and it was great to sit on the front porch swing and watch busy people pass by! There is ample parking and a nice yard. The location is perfect for visiting the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, only a couple of miles to the Boston Mill area and Hines Hill Conference Area. A Wonderful Visit - nice accommodations, good area, and outstanding family gathering.

Great for Concerts and Hiking

We had a lovely visit. Came with my daughters and their friends to see a concert at Blossom Music Center. Also did some hiking. A GREAT location for everything. Lots of space for quiet time and community space for playing games and meals. Had some serious storms during our stay and were thankful for the generator that kept the fridge and AC on. Excellent and attentive hosts.

Incredible Location, Great for a Big Family

If I could give this place six stars for location, I would. Smack dab in the center of the park, so it was super quick/easy to get to hikes. Very short walk (on a sidewalk) to the train depot, towpath access, coffee shop and two restaurants. The house itself had a spacious backyard and porch, which was perfect for eating outside (and for kids to run around). We loved that the dining room table was actually big enough to hold our entire group, so we could eat together - that's rare for our party of 10! The kitchen had all the usual stuff - coffee maker, toaster, mixing bowls, measuring cups, pots & pans, colander, baking sheets, cutting boards, vegetable peeler, can opener, plenty of dishes, etc. There is one bedroom suite downstairs with washer/dryer, plus three more bedrooms upstairs. Every bedroom has its own en suite bathroom, which was really nice. There was a cot in a downstairs closet, which we didn't use. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Cuyahoga Valley. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful property

Three of our group were international visitors. They loved the authentic Americana vibe of the house and surrounding areas. There were lovely decorative accents (eg. antique pictures of the area, framed needlepoint) Four well appointed bedrooms with bathrooms was a huge plus for our group of 5. Plenty of space for gathering together and private chats or solitude. Coffee on the front porch swing was a treat! Dinner on the deck or in the dining room was enjoyable. We felt safe and the house was quiet despite being on a busy street. The host notified us that there was a problem with the washer and promptly arranged for its repair and personally checked that it was completed. There were books and games available as well as brochures and area attraction information. I would highly recommend the Blue Hen!

Beautiful, with all the amenities.

My family and I loved staying at the Hidden Gem for a family wedding. With three thirty-something daughters, the home’s four bathrooms gave us the space to get ready, without any drama! We also truly enjoyed the deck off the kitchen. It was a perfect June weekend in a gorgeous green space.

Annual National Park Trip

We are 3 couple (siblings and spouses). We stayed 3 nights for our annual national park trip. The place was the perfect location for visiting CVNP. It was close to everything and we loved the little town of Peninsula. It was great to each have our own bathroom. The house was well equipped and we loved sitting on the beautiful back deck each evening. We hated to leave. Great place.

Lovely House

We had 6 adults and 4 children stay this weekend to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It is the perfect location to the park. We could walk downtown to the shops or to get on the towpath. There are also to restaurants in walking distance. The drive to hikes, snow skiing or other activities is very easy. We kids loved the big back yard and the adults enjoyed the large back porch. There is plenty of room to spread out to not be on top of each other. My only complaint is that we needed more silverware. And that’s really nothing. You could hear traffic but we used the fans and had no problem sleeping.

Wonderful Family Christmas spot

My sister and my families stayed here for 4 days. Everyone had a good bed and en suite bathroom. We were all able to cook and gather around the dining table for 10. The cute house had a great selection of games and books and was even decorated for the holidays!

Our Second Stay At The Hidden Gem!

Our family shared the Christmas holiday together again at the Hidden Gem In The Valley. It's a lovely home in the beautiful small town of Peninsula. Lots of amenities! Large dining room to gather for meals. The hosts decorated the home for the holidays. A great coffee shop is within walking distance downtown. We had a wonderful stay!
