"The hotel was a bit outdated and felt it was need of a refurb. The rooms where big but feels they were from the 90s era. But in general nice staff and very helpful. The hotel breakfast was in a diner style resturant which felt a bit tacky. "

"My worst experience in Qatar. We booked this hotel only because it was close to the F1 circuit and would make getting there easy. We arrived around 12:15 and were told the room was not ready so we agreed to leave our bags and come back later. When we returned, we were suddenly told the hotel was overbooked. The only reasonable explanation is that the room we booked was sold to someone else. They moved us to another hotel on the complete other side of Doha (near the airport), adding 25 kilometers to our travel to the F1 track. Even though they offered a free upgrade and transfer, it completely defeated the purpose of booking this place. The next day, the replacement hotel managed to transfer us back to waterfront hotel since a room had become available. The room showed poor maintenance with peeling walls and small insects in the bathroom. We also found only one towel and requested another one which never arrived. I usually do not complain but after reading other reviews, it seems our experience was not unique but something that happens often. The valet and porter were nice tho. "
