They have a cockroach and bug problem at the hotel and I am not sure if anything is done about it. The building is poorly built and already you can see wearing out on some facilities without proper repair. Has a lot of potential though. The pool is nice and staff are very friendly.

Just a superb hotel with a stunning lobby, comfortable, quiet rooms, great shower — and even better staff. It was evident from check-in on that they would do anything we needed to make our stay in Lisbon as comfortable and entertaining as possible. Their recommendations for dinners were flawless.

We were excited at check in when staff told us we are being upgraded to a roof with terrace. It turns out the terrace is probably 2x2 feet. Only fits one person standing. It was so filthy with cigarette buts that we did not even use!!! Capers in hall ways have spits all over. Half the rooms on each floor have stairs making it inconvenient to bring luggage. Hotel is rated 3 stars but I don’t it deserves more than 2

Gorgeous hotel
"Stayed here for one night on a long day trip and it was very cute and typically portuguese. I would stay here again especially for what you get for the price it is a steal. A very cute town with many cute towns around it, really good place to rest on a road trip. I would stay again"

"We booked a place to stay that it was horrible! Then, we were lucky to find this hotel, Jose Régio in Portalegre. A great place to stay! The staff was super friendly and helpful (we got a flat tire and do not speak Portuguese!) The place is very clean and comfortable."
