Initially check-in was a little frustrating. Nobody present at the property. A couple of phone calls got the problem sorted out. Property well maintained, clean, organized. Breakfast was very good, good variety and quantity, tasted good. Proprietor/manager friendly.

This B&B is a gem in the stone of a precious ring. We had a wonderful evening and morning there. Fortunately the Christmas decorations were still up and with all the snow, a wonderful experience. We were as snug as we wished in our room and with the wood fire downstairs. Breakfast was marvelous and the interactions with Lindsay were as much or as little as we wished. Looking forward to returning in a few months while it is still chilly up there.

Part of the charm of this place is that it is over 115 years. In spite of that, the room was comfortable as was the bed. It was clean, the bathroom was adequate, and the balcony was a nice touch. The place was very charming and our hostess, Linda, was very gracious. Because it was the holidays, the place was decorated to the hilt. If you were going to make a romantic Christmas movie this would have been the perfect setting. Cloudcroft is a cute little mountain town and the only thing lacking would have been more snow. This was my few experiences with a bed and breakfast and probably my best one. It seemed like I might have been visiting a distant relative who was going all out to make my visit go well. The highlight of our stay was meeting the other guess, one family who were from Texas via China and the other was a couple from Monterrey Mexico. Sitting around the dining tables we very easily fell into a nice camaraderie and maybe it was the magic of the holiday season but it seemed like we had a nice bonding experience. The building because of its age probably doesn't have a level floor in the place but that just seemed to add to the charm of it. The sound isolation was was pretty good so we were not bothered by the presence of other people. It was a short walk to the main Street which is mostly geared towards tourists. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby and even just driving around this historic town was entertaining. Linda made sure that we we're well fed.

The host greeted my wife and I at the door upon arrival and made the space feel like home! The homemade breakfast, charming room decor, and friendly people made this one of the most unique places we have ever stayed. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!

I loved the personal welcome when I arrived. I felt like I was a member of the family the entire 4 days I stayed there -- They were easy to talk to, and felt like old friends. My room was very cozy and comfortable, and there were lots of delicious choices for breakfast -- I tried them all! The property was very clean and beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. I'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Crofting Bed and Breakfast. Lindsey was exceptional!! welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our experience memorable. Her and her husband's hospitality set the tone from the moment we arrived. This property is a true piece of Cloudcroft history, thoughtfully maintained and full of character. The breakfast was excellent and clearly prepared with care, adding to the overall experience rather than feeling like a formality. If you are looking for a stay with warmth, authenticity, and personality, far removed from the sterile feel of corporate hotels or chain lodging, this is it. Located just blocks from the main drag, the Crofting offers both convenience and a sense of place. Highly recommended. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
