The Forest Chalet with hot tub / lake / pool / games

Welcome to The Forest Chalet!

Bring your family and friends to enjoy all that the Poconos have to offer in our 2,600+ square foot newly renovated 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home plus additional sleeping spaces to accommodate you and all your guests.

Adventure through the Pocono Mountains, hiking trails, natural landmarks, and attractions. Then come home and relax in our hot tub, prepare dinner in our fully stocked kitchen with multiple indoor and outdoor sitting areas, warm up in front of our gas fireplace, end the night in our game room, or watch a movie on our new 85 inch TV and make yourself a tub of fresh popcorn with our vintage popcorn machine.

The home is situated in the private community of Towamensing Trails, which offers a 194 acre lake with a private sandy beach, pool (seasonal), volleyball, basketball & tennis courts, playground, clubhouse, snack bar & arcade.

The home itself has 3 levels of living with comfortable space for up to 10 guests.


Main Level:
The main level of the cabin has a Kitchen with breakfast counter, Dining Room with a table to seat 10 guests, Living Room, Laundry Room.

This bathroom has two access points. 1 from the master suite and 1 from the kitchen
Access to a large wraparound deck

Top Level:
The top level of the chalet features a loft with a large desk to get some last-minute work done or answer a quick email. You can also disconnect and read a book in our reading nook. The loft also holds a queen sized murphy bed for additional sleeping space.

Relax and watch a movie with our brand new 85-inch tv or play arcade games.

Please note the community amenities (Lake with beach access, paddle board rentals, pool, club house are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day only). The community allows only 8 passes per home rental and the passes are required for usage. Kids aged 5 and under do not require a pass. The administrative fee listed includes the community rental package, up to 5 vehicle passes and 8 amenity badges.

This home was perfect for our winter getaway with our kids and their friends. The house is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The teenagers really enjoyed the hot tub, the game room, and hanging out in the loft. Everything about it is perfect! Great location too!

We had the best stay at The Forest Chalet! The house was super clean, cozy, and had plenty of space for all our guests. We were there celebrating my sister’s bachelorette before her big “I Do” in December and it couldn’t have been a better spot! There were so many fun things to do right in the house that we barely left. We had a taco night with margaritas by the basement bar and a movie night on the big comfy couch downstairs. The owners were so friendly and easy to communicate with, which made planning our weekend a breeze. We’d definitely love to stay here again!

This was a wonderful home- spacious, clean, and quiet!We especially loved sitting out under the porch on the deck in the mornings and evenings watching the local deer. We would definitely stay again if we come back to this area.

The experience with VRBO was great. The house was beautiful, clean and had plenty of outdoor seating. The house was close to many things so not a far drive for anything we did. I would definitely recommend and would stay again if I had the opportunity.

My two daughters and their friends stayed for a bachelorette weekend and had a wonderful time. They said the house and location was great. Loved the hot tub and deck to relax. They said there were deer walking around and it was truly an experience. Lake Harmony was beautiful and they had a nice dinner there. Tons to do in the area towns. Jim Thorpe was great and so was East Stroudsburg.

We had a very happy, relaxing get away. The house is located close to various places to visit. Jim Thorpe, Hawk Falls, a butterfly farm. The property was perfect for our family. The three levels of the chalet were what we needed. The amenities are well thought out. I really recommend this property if you are looking for a family get away.

Spacious living areas, attractively furnished and very clean. We were amazed that all beds were made when we arrived, which was wonderful after our long drive there. The three kids who were with us enjoyed all the games, and the men loved the huge TV for watching a couple games. Hot tub was especially nice after hiking and white water rafting, and s'mores by the outside fire were fun. We have stayed in other properties but this was the best.

August Poconos Getaway

The house was in a nice neighborhood and easily accessible. Desired activities were a short drive away, so proximity was great. The house was clean and as advertised, but could use a few things when considering the young children we had with us (1-4 yrs). Outlet covers, step stools for washing hands, child-oriented outdoor games (although the giant connect 4 was a huge hit!), yard cleanup (many stones and loose grass in the grassy areas where we wanted to play), and small deck chairs would be good additions. The wifi was great for a large group and the TV/Lounge setups were nice. It might be a good idea to have the cleaning team scan through TVs to log out prior guests from their access as we found some still connected.Overall, we enjoyed the stay and had fun at the pool, the beach and walking the neighborhood between vacation activities.

Fourth of July at the Lake

Our group had an amazing stay over the holiday weekend. The home was absolutely beautiful, full of amenities for all ages and super clean. The host was extremely accessible and willing to help in any way. The community had so much to offer for all of us. We can't wait to schedule our next stay.

Beautiful home with nice ammentities

We planned this trip to get are grown kids together. Each family member that entered smiled and said, “This is nice!” Great hot tub, fire pit and movie room. Also enjoyed the pool, lake and nearby walking trails. Shades of death sounds like a bad/difficult trail but it was actually my favorite. Host is very responsive. Highly recommended place to stay.

Mountain getaway

Beautiful setting, nice lake with kayak rentals and a nice beach area for the kids and a community pool too. If you rent a kayak, paddle board or pedal boat, make sure you have 20’s, that don’t accept bills over that or credit cards.

Wonderful weekend trip

Excellent Experience

We had a great time at the Forest Chalet and are so grateful to have had our reservation accepted on such short notice. The house is immaculate, comfortable beds, and a super fun game room. We really loved our stay and would definitely go back again. The only slight issue was that it's listed as a five bedroom, though the Murphy bed upstairs is in a loft setting. Just good to know for future guests, and of course, we read the description quickly because we were in a crunch to book. Everything worked out very well in the end!!

Our stay at the Forest Chalet was absolutely perfect! The house was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the location was ideal and a short distance to the mountains. Andy, our host was very responsive and accommodating making our check-in and communication seamless. We will definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway to the mountains.
