“The hotel felt very homely, with a warm informal reception. It’s quite huge inside with many corridors creating a feeling of discovery. I have to give a special call out to the restaurant. Great menu and my choice was exceptional in every way. Service & food brilliant. Our room was the Thomas More suite; happily we escaped with heads intact!! Cavernous room with sufficient sockets. Didn’t really trust the old plumbing so avoided the shower. Would be in our shortlist should we stay in...

“The hotel staff were lovely, we were upgraded to a deluxe room with a hot tub, as it was my partners 50th birthday. Also a lovely touch, a bottle of prosecco waiting in the room with a card. ”

“Great last minute night away with kids. Lovely hotel, friendly staff and brilliant leisure facilities! Mark couldn't be more helpful! If there was one down side, the restaurant menu could do with a revisit (very limited) and the beautifully cooked steak and fresh fish were very much let down by the frozen chips! BUT, the breakfast was amazing! Will definitely visit again!”

I stopped suggesting things in the end because not one of them were interested and it dawned on me that that's why the property is so well managed and standards high . My offers made sense to me but to them it didn't and thats why it's a great success”

“We booked a room at The Fox Hall at the very last minute, as we are attending a wedding nearby the next day. It was really just for convenience and we weren't that bothered about exactly where we stayed. That said, what an absolute gem The Fox Hall is! From a very friendly greeting, a delightful room and an excellent supper, we feel very lucky to have stumbled across it and we're planning to return (intentionally!) soon! ”
