And one of the charms of The Swan is that it is an old building with quirky staircases and little nooks and crannies. However, we were disturbed during the night by doors banging and people using stairs outside our room in order to access theirs. âOnly stayed one night and arrived late/went early so didn't see/use the hotel's lounge or other amenities. Our hotelroom/bathroom was clean and large. The breakfast was fine, cooked to our order. Nice to sit with view of river at breakfast. All staff we meet at reception and at breakfast were polite and friendly.â

âWe stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldnât fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. â

âA fabulous stay in this lovely country inn in a quiet village on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. Perfectly located for exploring the Suffolk coast and countryside and the Norfolk Broads. A wonderful welcome from Mark and his team. Nothing was too much trouble and the lovely breakfasts set you up for the day. Great sized comfortable en-suite room. The pub is at the heart of the village community and is excellent value for money.â
