Amazing cottage getaway on Lake Ida Minnesota.
Cottage is just as described . I had a very comfortable stay at the cottage . Very quiet cute neighborhood. Relaxed at the home and did some trail hiking close by. Checked out local shops in town and bars for music . I was here when ice was still on the lakes but this would be a great summer place to stay for the lake activities I’m sure . I would recommend to reserve for the full weekend stay including all day Sunday so you are not in a rush to leave early Sunday checkout . Enjoyed my stay .

Wonderful stay!
We had a great time staying here; everything was as described. We slept on the bed upstairs because it seemed like the firmer mattress, and we slept great- very comfortable. We also loved the fireplace and it was very cozy for our New Year vacation. Hosts were generous with a request we had, and also gave very detailed info and responded to messages asap. Would definitely recommend!

Cute and quaint
This is a cute little place and I would stay here again I highly recommend. Very clean and well taken care of. One note the lake picture is deceiving because the place is not on the lake and lake access is by Betsy Ross resorts access.

Relaxed boating vacation
The Little Dipper was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved the beds up in the loft. The place is tiny, but uses every little space well. The place is well stocked for fun with the games, firewood, kayaks, dock, lift, tv, and golf cart. We put a hammock in the backyard and it was a relaxing space. Of course, relaxing on the swinging bench looking out at the sunset was heavenly, too. We loved kayaking and my son caught several fish (and we aren’t fishermen). Aaron was quick to respond to any needs or requests. Highly recommended!

Wonderful!
The Little Dipper was the perfect family getaway! Quiet neighborhood, beautiful lake access, and comforting touches of home throughout the cabin. Having the kayaks to take out on the lake was awesome as well!

Black Friday weekend

Cute cabin
It was a very clean easy to access cabin in a secluded quiet part of Alexandria. The check in process was easy. There was a working fireplace, dishes and towels provided. The TV however was lagging. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay and would recommend.

Relaxing Cabin Getaway
We were aiming for a relaxing cabin getaway with the family and we succeeded! This A-frame is adorable and there is tons of space for the kids and pup to play outside in the big flat lawn. We found lots of yard games in the shed to keep us busy and also enjoyed roasting mallows over the fire. We were thankful to have use of their boat lift and Aaron was super helpful with sending a map/directions of Lake Ida so we were able find the popular sandbar/beach. We spent several hours there playing in the water and beach! The kids LOVED the lily pad and beach toys as well as cruising in the golf cart! My husband fished from the kayak and we caught many small sunnies and perch from the dock which was a big thrill for the kiddos. We had everything we needed in the cabin and the beds were comfy. The mini split and window AC kept the cabin at a comfortable temp. We enjoyed dinner on the patio and thought the rope to tie up the dog to be helpful. I tend to over pack so we brought our own beach towels and night lights, those would be my only suggestions to add to the cabin for those who may not bring their own. Neighbors were all very friendly, waving to say hello in passing. We hope to visit again in the future! Thanks so much for having us!!

A fun, comfy stay
This a clean and comfortable place that is well-supplied for cooking and enjoying time together (and the loft provides a separate space). The private dock with the kayaks, water trampoline and Lily pad provides much fun, along with a golf cart to drive to beach for the beautiful sunsets over the lake and nightly loon sightings and calls. The host is prompt and thorough with providing info and anything needed. Check-in and communication are very easy. We loved the neighborhood, too.

Perfect little getaway
Loved this cozy little cabin. Can’t wait to book again. Had so much fun around the fire with friends. Close to Carlos Creek winery and brewery so we made a stop for wine, beer and pizza. Lake access just down from the cabin, but don’t let that deter you. Gold cart made it easy to go back and forth. Thanks Aaron for the perfect vacay spot!

Wonderful Stay at the Little Dipper
We had a fantastic time at the Little Dipper cabin. The owner, Aaron, was wonderful to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. My kids (ages 6 and 3) had a blast and asked to stay another 4 days!! The cabin could use more towels (especially kitchen towels) and needs a whisk! Other than that, the place is a piece of heaven!

Cozy Cabin for a Relaxing Mini-moon
This cozy little cabin was a perfect getaway for my newly husband and I’s mini-moon! It was so peaceful and relaxing. The dock area also had a beautiful sunset that we enjoyed each evening! The property manager was very responsive and provided us with additional information as needed! Overall, wonderful experience and we would go back here!

Girls Weekend
We rented this cabin for a girls weekend. It was the perfect size for the 3 of us and we all enjoyed having our own beds. It rained all weekend but we enjoyed the fireplace, tv, games and company. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. I’d suggest adding another mirror somewhere so multiple people can get ready at the same time!

Wonderful cozy respite!!
My dog Junie and I needed to get away from the noise and pace of the world for a few days and The Little Dipper was amazing!! Clean, cozy, charming, relaxing, restful and quiet! Lovely lakeside community, we took long walks, long naps, read a long book and scrapbooked joyful memories. It is a hidden gem!

Wonderful cabin on the lake
Owners of the cabin were very accommodating. cabin was clean and it was so nice for my dogs lots of space to run and walk. Very friendly neighbors, would highly recommend. The loft upstairs would be a great place for kids I can’t say enough about how nice are weekend was.

Myself and two of my bridesmaids stayed here for my bachelorette weekend. The place was perfect for us. We had fun playing card games while drinking some wine. We actually discovered that the owner knows my soon-to-be husband, so that was a fun surprise! We will definitely be back in the future with our hunnies.

Solo getaway
This was the perfect little getaway to relax. The darling A frame was in a perfect location for me as I wanted to be in a cabin feel property but didn’t feel comfortable being out in a remote location alone. This felt like I was all alone but so close to everything. The place had everything I needed and communications were great and the bed was SO comfortable!! . Highly recommend -and I’ll definitely be back.

Cute and cozy
Clean, cozy, beautiful area, adequately stocked cabin. Everything was easy when coming in and leaving. It was so nice having a fireplace to keep the cabin toasty warm. Plenty of appliances, towels, outdoor lighting, and seating. Neighbors were friendly. It would have been nice to be able to close the blinds at the slider windows. We would definitely stay here again, so very peaceful.

Great escape!
I was looking for a small, low maintenance place I could work out of for a week to decompress from the world and I found it here! Aaron was very accommodating for letting me keep my cat with me during the trip. Very cool space!
