Hotellet jag bokat och betalt är stängt
Vid ankomsten till hotellet ser jag inga människor, vi kliver ur taxin tar ut våra väskor och går mot receptionen, stängt hotellet är stängt. Det är kväll jag pratar med några människor en bit längre ner på gatan dom vet bara att man stängt pga pandemin och att vi måste hitta ett annat hotell. Jag försöker ringa hotellet och kommer till en växel där jag blir kopplat till ett annat Vila Gale hotell. Där säger dom att vi blivit ombokade. Vi hittar efter många om och men en taxi. Trötta och besvikna kommer vi till det hotellet och kan checka in. Jag är guldkund hos Hotels.com och alltid varit nöjd men detta är det sämsta jag varit med om. Hotellet stängt och jag har inte fått någon information om det.

Check in was messy. Many guests arrived at once and only one person working at the reception. She received a phone call in the middle of our check in and only gave us the key, no information about breakfast times or that you could get bath towels at the reception for when visiting the pool area. We didn’t get any information about check out times either and since she took a phone call in the middle of it all, it felt rude to interrupt. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Good location. Be aware of the middle aged men staying at the hotel that don’t mind hitting on other women, both younger and older women.

Review Hotel Vila Gale Marina Vilamoura
The room was quite ok with great views of the harbor and the sea, note that I chose a room with a sea view. The bathroom was a little worn but clean. The staff was very service minded. Free golf transfer to and from the golf course which worked very well. You ordered time for pickup at reception and 15 minutes later came a car and took one to the golf course. Wifi functioned without interference and with good speed. The hotel location was the best possible, close to the harbor, restaurants and local bus stop for your own excursions. The breakfast buffet was amazingly good, don't miss it. The hotel gym was quite small but it was enough for the holiday workout.

Ett bra hotell nära marinan i Vila muora
Hotellet ligger bra till ca 100 meter från marinan i Vila Muora. Vi var där i oktober 2018 och det var inga problem med parkeringar för hyrbil. Det skulle jag kunna tänka mig är ett problem vid högsäsong. Inte relaterat till detta hotell utan för hela vila muora. Vi hade balkongen inåt mot pool området och det var helt ok. Frukosten var fullt tillräcklig för oss och rummet var heller inget att klaga på. Det som man skulle kunna reat sig på var att kassafacket på hotellrummet tog man ebtlat för att använda. man ville ha 2,5 Euro/ dag för detta. Måste jag säga är lite småaktigt. betalar man 1000 sek / natt eller mer borde en sådan sak ingå. Internet hoppade ur lite till och från. På det hela taget ett bra hotell. Skulle jag kunna tänka mig att bo där igen? adå inga problem

Allt var till belåtenhet. Många bokade solstolarna tidigt med handdukar utan att använda dem. Hotellet kunde ränsat upp runt poolen.

Excellent location at just a two minutes walk from the marina and the beach. Great swimming pools. Great range of breakfast choices. Rooms could be updated but very clean and comfortable. Special mention of the room staff and restaurant staff. Great kids entertainment too. I fully recommend the Vila Gale.

The property was well located a few minutes walk from the marina, restaurants, and bars as well as had excellent breakfast buffet, exercise classes, an indoor and outdoor pools and jacuuzzi. Didn't sample the dinner menu but another guest told me it was very good. Very relaxing environment with large lobby with comfortable chairs, bar and TV's playing sports. Reception and cleaning staff very helpful.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Staff were very helpful, we requested to move rooms as ours was next to the service lifts so quite noisy during the night. Breakfast was lovely, lots of variety and the hotel is reasonably priced. Hotel is also in a great location for the marina. Id recommend not to bother with booking a transfer from airport to hotel as you can easily get an uber for ~€20.

Lovely clean comfortable hotel in a convenient location. Staff were welcoming and polite - good breakfast too! Probably would not return especially in May as guests consisted of large noisy groups who didn’t seem to consider anyone else! Unacceptable noise levels and bad language continued into early hours.

Our stay at the hotel and Vilamoura was excellent with friendly staff, facilities such as swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Lovely marina area with spoil for choice for food, sandy beaches, boat ride. Boat ride to see dolphins and caves as well as parasailing.

Location good but lacked atmosphere
Location was good as a short walk to the shops and marina. Entrance area is also the hotel bar which lacked any atmosphere. On arrival there was entertainment and only 2 guests seated there. Very drab and uninviting. I had requested a double room and we had 2 single dressed beds pushed together. Not sure if this is the norm but I would still consider that a twin room. View from balcony was great as we were on the top floor. The pool area looked nice but we didn’t use it during our stay. In shade for some of the time due to the U shape of the hotel. The bathroom lacked a shelf as we had to store everything around the sink. No place to store shampoo etc in the shower space either. Bathroom could do with maintenance as toilet seat was broken as was the flush button. Would I stay here again? Possibly but I would look at their sister hotel, Ampalius close by first. Just felt the Marina hotel lacked something. It just didn’t feel very inviting.
