Nice hotel on the outskirts of Tavira. It's a bit far to walk into town, and the shuttle service from the hotel ends early.
The main advantage is the pool area, very appreciated by the kids. When we visited (mid July) it was not to crowded, almost always a free sunbed.
Breakfast was ok, better assortment than an average Mediterranean hotel, served at the top floor. We visited the hotel restaurant beside the pool 3 times, the lunch meals were a bit disappointing and overpriced, but the evening tapas were good.
The room was basic but nice and clean. The kids got a sofa to sleep in. So only 2 real beds in the family room. There were a lot of ants, and at night time the watering system made it impossible to use the balcony (first floor) if you weren't wearing your swimsuit. I guess that is not a problem from second floor and up..
All in all I would consider coming back if the price was right and I had a car. But I would try to get a room on a higher floor to get away from some of the ants and to get a balcony I could actually use.
