Trevligt hotell vid stranden med pool
Mycket trevligt hotell med en bra all-inclusive. Mat & dryck tillgängligt från morgon till midnatt. Sötvattenpool direkt utanför (kall) och stranden inom 4 minuters gångväg. Trevlig och lätt att promenera till Alvor, buss utanför till Portimao samt att hotellet körde dit varje dag.

Fint pool-område. Stora luftiga allmänna utrymmen. Enkelt, Bra Gym. Bubbelpool. Bastu. Fantastisk frukostbuffé. Rent, snyggt. Trevlig, tillmötesgående personal. Hotellet ligger på en höjd, med fri sikt åt alla håll. Bra ! Mycket bra !

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at— they charge you 8 Euros to call the front desk. Lack of properly functioning elevators is a safety hazard. At least 1-2 isn’t working at a time and people had to wait for a while. Facilities generally feel outdated with no upkeep, and food is terrible (also not included , despite the hotel advertising in the all inclusive deal it wasn’t available on Expedia). I would not be surprised if this building failed several inspections. Staff was incredibly nice all things considered and location is close to tennis courts and beach. Otherwise, stay somewhere else until they renovate.

Great Holiday
This hotel has some great features. Rooms are carpeted so moving chairs doesn't wake everyone up. The restaurant has lots of very good food and if you are intolerant to gluten or milk, staff will provide an alternative. If on an anniversary. Bucks fizz, beer and wine available at breakfast. Tea and coffee 24 hours a day. The really bad bit. The main toilets are by the restaurant and to be blunt Stink. There are no proper adequate extract systems in place and the waste plumbing leaks. The second less important fault is all pool sunbeds are curved, you can't lie face down. However, there is a fantastic beach four hundred yards away. I'll be coming back, out of season. Great hotel for the most part

Great hotel ,near beach
Stayed for a week mid October, so not too busy at the hotel , the room was large ,clean and with great views of the sea and over Alvor . Bathroom was clean ,restocked regularly and the shower was powerful ,and hot . The hotel restaurant and bar area were well presented, the food and drink varied and plentiful . The pool was beautiful , a little fresh but not too cold . plenty of sun beds around the pool and ample gardens to spread out . We stayed on the 14th floor but the lifts worked well . Reception was helpful with information taxi info and bus timetable,for trips further away . I would definitely come back , everything worked as it should , free WiFi available in all areas , tvs great size and channel choices. Fridge and free safe in rooms .

Hotel a melhorar em todos os niveis
Higiene do quarto a deixa a desejar, no hotel em especial na zona das pescinas pessima. Serviço mau, falta funcionarios qualificados, simpatia tambem deixa a desejar. Comida não com muitas opções nas refeições, mas rasoavelmente bem confecionada e sem repetição ao logo dos dias. Hotel virado para turistas francês, mas na semana em que estive deviater pelo menos uma taxa de ocupação de 80% de portugueses, talvez devam repensar a sua filisofia. Animação do pior que já vi, praticamente inesistente, para os miudos, mesmo mau. Optima localização. Se pretenderem usar o restaurante tematico, aconselho fazerem reserva logo quando marcarem o hotel, pois quando fui para marcar só existia vaga para dai a 8 dias. Hotel 4 estrelas com meia duzia de chapeus na zona da pescina, quando solicitados, responderam que se tinham partido e aguardavam por mais á mais de um mês, sendo que mesmo esses que existiam estavam em mau estado. Restaurante onde serviam as refeições do pior que possam imaginar, ninguem se entendia grande desorganização.

Nice hotel close to beach
Staff was friendly, cheerful, helpful, great service. Hotel location is right near an amazing beach and great boardwalk to walk on. Surrounding towns were nearby. We did not rent a car, had no need. We either walked to town or took a taxi. Food choices for the buffet were varied daily, always something great to eat. There was fish and chicken choices daily, as well as fruit, and great desserts.

Despite some good points : a lot of deck chairs, good gym and cleaning services, the overall impression remained bad because of the restaurant room (too noisy, really unbearable) and the food and drinks which were average. The activities can also be improved.

Complained to managment but was told to complain to our travel company! Then after putting a bad review on trip advisor yhe management contacted us to apoligise - a bit late when they spoke to us whilst we were checking out - cocktails are pre made and are in big plastib bottles ans they dont have cider

Great location for stunning beach
This is our second visit. Lovely 15min walk along the beach broadwalk to Alvor. Best location for stunning hidden beaches amongst the rocky coves. Hotel staff friendly especially the bar staff. Great variety of food. Gained a notch on my belt! Red wine not good though. Only fault is the hotel is quite dated could do with modification.

Fabulous!
Two minute walk to the beach which is superb and very beautiful. Pool great, hotel very clean. Food choices excellent, something for everyone and not just chips for children!!!! Family friendly, lovely area, go out and about, cheap for taxi or free shuttle bus, beautiful country.

nice hotel close to the beach and local town Alvor
Hotel Delfim is well situated for the beach and within 20mins walking distance of Alvor. Staff are friendly and efficient and Hotel meals were adequate. Some Bar staff were a little crazy but they kept the drinks flowing. On the downside the Hotel really needs a complete refurbishment, as the interior and rooms definitely look dated. Room and pool towels were close to threadbare and surely need replacing soon. Perhaps the Pestana Group could invest a little money in this hotel - it appears to have been ignored over recent years.

Good location is the only major plus.
This was exactly what i expected from the reviews of others but i was hoping that there has been some improvements but I think the hotel is happy to gather for a specific group of people and won't change. The building is clean but dated, multiple parts have out of order signs on and it has definitely gone past its pride. On the plus side you are close to a lovely beach, 15 minute walk to Alvor harbour and about 15 min drive from the Alto golf course. So who is the hotel catering for- if you are a plane Jane love drinking free booze al day , then have a selection of fairly bland food, simple entertainment and play a few rounds of golf this is the place for you. It will also suite a family who just want to let the kids run wild and drink as much fizzy drinks and food as possible it will work. There are quite a few selections of food but is doesn't represent Portugal at all. Food is bland and by day 2 you realise that even if things look different they still taste the same. But it is a no hassle break so doesn't need to make many decisions and we will go back to the area but the hotel doesn't do anything to encourage you to return as everything is so average that it makes you think may be going somewhere else will be better the next time.

A pretty nice hotel with some good and bad points!
The hotel has a lovely large swimming pool, along with a smaller one for kids. There never seemed to be any difficulty acquiring a sun bed, despite being fully booked throughout my stay. The close location to the beach is also ideal, with a direct pathway leading from the hotel grounds. The general decor and furniture is looking a bit tired now, and in need of a refresh. The rooms have a wonderful big balcony, with most facing the sea. These are very dated though and require some serious modernisation, in order to retain a 4 star standard. The variety of food was always very good, offering at least 5 or 6 different meat and fish dishes. The self-service bar in the middle of the pool was great; or simply asking a member of staff for drink was fairly straight forward. The all inclusive package worked out very well, especially when kids are involved. It also makes life easy having set time frames when to go to the restaurant and everything is just spread out for you! :-). The kids club kept the little one busy, while the evening entertainment kept things quite lively. There is a games room that offered a bit of fun, along with a couple of pool tables (albeit with balls missing!).

Great value for money, lovely stay
The hotel is set in an ideal location, being able to walk from the gardens straight onto the beach is a big pro. The grounds are good and spacious with plenty of sunbeds and shade. Lot's of shade under the trees the salt water pool is very large. The swim up bar is not in use and the self service soft drinks station placed in bar is not very appealing. Pool towels could be better. Tennis courts are good Rooms are large with a tired decor but clean with furnished large balcony's and an impressive view (we booked seaview). Bed's are comfortable. Bathroom has a powerful shower and is large too. Housekeeping was done on a daily basis. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and plentiful but a bit repetitive (lot's of pork and fish no beef or seafood, starters had no variation, fresh fruit and fresh salad was good. The Italian restaurant was very disappointing. Lunch time is a bit of an ordeal! It gets too busy and the restaurant is incredibly noisy with too many poorly behaved and screaming children/toddlers which is obviously the parent's doing but unfortunately it affects the other guests including families with well behaved children! Also guests turn up in swim gear with a t-shirt or wrap on top.Afternoon snacks are plentiful and nice (salad, dressed breadrolls, cakes, icecream,,tea, coffee, espresso, etc) We had a pre dinner drink in the bar on the 2nd floor, which was pleasant and quiet. Good choice of drinks. The pool bar was good too. Dinner was good.

Good hotel, great food for an all inclusive property, enjoyable walk along the beach to village and beautiful coves if you walk to left on entrance to beach from hotel. Really efficient and helpfull staff, complimentary towels for the pool/beach and water included in all inclusive. Not the place to go if you are not keen on kids running around having fun. Mainly Potugese holiday makers during our stay. Only downside (or possibly an upside as you arent attached to devices for yourstay) is that wifi only available on first and second floors. Would certainly recommend

Excellent emplacement
Hôtel idéal pour une famille, proche d'une grande plage de sable ou de criques magnifiques. Nourriture bonne, internationale. Chambre familiale petite pour 4. Très peu de français, clientèle portugaise et anglaise. Très peu d'animation en journée, deux cours d'aquagym et de zumba par semaine. Mauvaise organisation de l' animation des soirées.

Great Place to Holiday
Friendly clean hotel, fabulous views from the 15th floor room we had, lovely sea water pool, good choice of buffet food, and drinks. Short walk through the gardens to the 4kms of white sandy beach. Very helpful staff, without exception, handy location for the pretty fishing town of Alvor, and its stunning estuary.We will be revisiting !!!

Well appointed all inclusive hotel.
This hotel has excellent facilituies and is in a great location with fantastic beaches very close and excellent walking either along the beach to the west to Alvor (30 mins)and the nature reserve on the spit beyond that (plent of well maintained boardwalks) or along the clifftop paths through the woods to the east to Praia de la Rocha and Portimao beyond. There are plenty of sunbeds and, having grassed grounds beyond the pool means that it doesn't have to get as crowded. The food was of excelent quality with the only downside being the "English breakfast" type items which were well of the mark and the habit of guests "sailing under other flags'" habit of taking whole trays of meat s they were served out on the buffet. The staff did their best to keep up supplies in the face of this. Avoid the option to book to dine in the "Italian " restuarant which is included in the all inclusive price, this was disappointing (frozen pizzas etc.). The all inclusive drinks are fine "Super Bock" beer, drinkable wines and good sangria as well as the usual "OK"domestic spirits. There was a tendency to limit supply by having just one staff on each of the 2 night time bars. With one exception, these all did their best to be fair and efficient . Guest behaviour was generally good. We went mid June and it was mostly Portuguese, British and French. Internet is free on floors 1 and 2 and worked around the pool (and occasionally on our 10th floor room).

Location, location, location & great value
Fabulous location - food hit n miss but always something edible, food and drink always available if you wanted it. The drinks however were not brilliant and I was led to believe that you could pay extra for premium brands. This was the main let down, along with the family room being just a normal room with a sofa bed and nothing more. Fine for the week, but would recommend a suite upgrade if available when you go. There were large groups of golfers and those from Scotland were particularly partaking of a s much all inclusive as they could, resulting in the discovery of vomit in a corridor and lift on one occasion! This was not the case for the other groups - seems the Scots let the UK down on this front, as did an older Scottish couple that were just crude and offensive. That said, it was very good value, all the staff were really charming and very helpful The rooms were clean and comfy, the outside pool lovely (indoor pool a big let down). The bonus however was that you could for a small fee of just 10 euro per adult (kids free) upgrade your evening meal to the next door 5* Pestana Alvor where all drinks are premium as part of the price and the food superb. One of the best beaches in the region with some fantastic places locally to visit and beach restaurants to dine in. B&B would be preferred if I were to return.The other guests let the hotel down for the other guests.

Flott hotell med en fantastisk utsikt mot stranden
Hotellet ligger praktfullt til med en fantastisk utsikt mot stranden og havet. Personalet bar litt preg av en lang sessong og virket veldig klare til vinterstenging, men ellers hyggelige. Maten er nydelig og variert. Dette var vårt første opphold på dette hotellet i Alvor og vi har allerede bestemt oss for å reise tilbake.

it was a nice hotel but needs a bit of updating ,staff were really friendly and helpful its only a 10 minute walk into town and 2 mins from the beach
