Denna vackra stuga ligger på Taylor River är en fiskare paradis och en fridfull, privat tillflyktsort för alla som vill fly till bergen för en verkligt avkopplande upplevelse. Med expansiva däck längs ena sidan av hemmet, med utsikt över Taylor River och en vacker välskötta gräsmatta på andra sidan, det finns gott om ställen att sitta och slappna av. Ligger på däck är en badtunna utomhus för blötläggning efter en dag på floden eller på banorna. När du stiger in i kabinen hittar du en vackert renoverad interiör; en vacker, välfylld kök och bekväm matsal med en dubbelsidig vedeldade spis som också öppnar upp till den intilliggande vardagsrummet. I vardagsrummet finns gott om sittplatser för att titta på TV eller filmer på plattskärms-TV eller bara sitta och koppla av framför den sprakande elden. I vardagsrummet finns också en tiki bar och lounge som är en festlig plats för kalla drycker och förfriskningar på eftermiddagen eller kvällen.

Det stora sovrummet ligger direkt off av vardagsrummet med en kung säng och 3/4 badrum. En drottning rum ligger utanför den matsal / kök och har även en bifogad 3/4 badrum. De två sovrum och andra drottning sovrum på framsidan av stugan delar badrum.

Ta en promenad ner på vägen mot Taylor River och du kommer att hitta en brand grop med träbänk för brasan samtal eller s'mores. Gå förbi eldstaden och vägen slutar i ett däck som sitter över Taylor River. Med privat tillgång till fiske längs tomtgränsen, kan du fiska rätt av dina däck eller direkt nedanför. För att få tillgång till mer fiske längs Taylor River, passerar dag kan köpas på Harmel är bara väg att njuta av alla deras privata tillgång till fiske samt ridning, forsränning och andra aktiviteter!

Mobiltelefon tjänsten är inte pålitlig på den här platsen. AT & T inte har någon tjänst och Verizon får viss service, men inte pålitlig. Huset har lokala telefon för lokalsamtal och du kan använda ett telefonkort för alla långdistanssamtal. Trådlöst internet finns också tillgängligt här, så Skype är ett annat alternativ! När du tar med din egen ATV eller någon typ av terrängfordon måste du släpvagnen från huset till spårvagnen.

Beautiful home, great location + outdoor space

Great home for our 2-week vacation. It was comfortable for our 6 family members, and the outdoor deck was the perfect gathering spot in the evenings. We fished some in the Taylor River, and the Taylor Reservoir was a short drive. We hope to come back next year!

Amazing week escaping hot temps at home!

This house was a perfect location for our annual week in CO. Obviously the location on the river was beautiful, but we were close quick hikes right out the back door. We were just up the road from Harmel’s store for a quick bag of ice or s’mores items. We were close to rafting tour company, horseback riding, easy drive into Gunnison or Crested Butte for hikes or dinner. The house was comfortable for our 8 guests. Essential kitchen items, great amount of seating for indoor or outdoor dining. The hot tub was a hit with the kids. We will definitely stay again!

2024 Colorado Vacation

We had the most incredible time and stay in Colorado. This house fit all eight of us very comfortably and was absolutely perfect. Being on the river and having an outdoor patio overlooking was even more incredible. The house had everything needed for a comfortable and convenient s. Very close to Almont and to Taylor Park, where we rode side-by-side of motorcycles. The only thing I can say that was not of convenience was we were pulling a 36 foot trailer and the parking is not convenient for that but luckily we found a place to park the trailer each evening.

This property was a great, quiet escape!

We loved staying at this property! It was the much needed escape from the everyday hustle. The property was nestled in a very private setting along the river with plenty of room inside and out. The hot tub was great for our evening wind down and many fire pits to enjoy as well. We fished in the river some and then visited the Taylor Reservoir where we caught more than our limit of of trout. Upon booking we thought we were going to be in Crested Butte but it was in Almont, CO about a 30 minute drive from there. It was no problem for us since we wanted to escape but keep that in mind if u want to be in that area. Overall was the perfect time for us!! Thank u so much for opening your home! We loved it!

Great location. Nice cabin but lots of clutter.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect between Gunnison and Crested Butte. The cabin itself has some nice features - large deck, right on the river, hot tub, nicely landscaped. Some of the furniture is a bit dated and worn which was no big deal for us. A few pet stains on the carpet. Two big drawbacks for us: 1. This is obviously used as a personal vacation home for much of the year because pantry, closets, drawers, cabinets and counter tops are filled with the owner’s personal items. It almost felt like someone was living in the home full time and they just left so we could rent it (I don’t think that’s the case, but that’s the vibe). 2. This house is on a well and septic system. Throughout our entire stay, there was a terrible smell of sewage coming out of the laundry room. We kept the door to that part of the house closed as much as we could, but it was still pretty unpleasant in the bedroom next to it, where our daughter slept. Overall, a nice place and a good trip. But would would be nice if the owners de-cluttered and had the septic inspected. Something is definitely going on there.

Fabulous cabin to get away from it all

This cabin is fully stocked and very welcoming. You feel like you are staying in a person's home, not just a sterile guest house. That said, you may not care for the dead animal decor on the walls. We had the chiminea on the deck going every night, watching the stars, listening to the river. Every day we played - hiking, biking, kayaking, fly fishing. It was an amazing vacation.

Beautiful quiet cabin

We loved almost everything about this cabin--quiet location, fully stocked , not too far from restaurants. The only negative was that the furnace did not work and there was a chill at night. We were able to find enough space heaters to make it comfortable at night. The caretaker responded very quickly when called about the issue but had to order a part which did not arrive before we checked out.

This property is amazing and is an absolutely beautiful setting.

This cabin is very comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay, indoors or out. My family was very happy with this choice. We enjoyed feeding the chipmunks, fishing and listening to the river. The beautiful lawn was great for family games and for enjoying the nice weather. The deck on the back side is wonderful too but be aware that if you have little ones, it is not young child friendly. But, we kept the baby in the front yard and in her highchair or on a lap when on the deck. The hot tub is nice too. We look forward to coming back another time and want to say thanks to the owners for sharing their home with us.

The Perfect Getaway on Taylor River

My husband and I have the perfect getaway experience when we stay the the Taylor River House! You can quite literally do anything you want at this house; hike fossil ridge off the side of the house or take a walk down to the river and fish from the dock at the bottom of the house! There is a spacious yard for games or any kind of activities; not to mention the added feature of the amazing hot tub! You truly get the Colorado experience even on the inside of this home! While the updated kitchen and bathrooms are great, the decor of the home just adds to the outdoor beauty to this Colorado home. The location is perfect for excursions to both Gunnison and Crested Butte, not to mention Taylor Resivor and a variety of passes are available within a 15 min. drive. We look forward to another vacation at the Taylor River House in the near future!!

Absolutely perfect!

Our family had an incredible time at Taylor River House! We traveled here from San Diego, CA with our 4 children (9, 11, 14, 15) for our favorite family vacation ever. This place truly has it all. It is impeccably decorated, has everything you could want for a perfect stay, and is in an absolutely dreamy location. We went into Gunnison and Crested Butte and even did a white water rafting trip just a mile up the road. You can fish just off the river deck, star gaze from the deck and hot tub, and enjoy a huge grassy yard. We hope to come back again and again!

Lovely Fall week

We love staying in this great cabin. It has a great location on the Taylor River. It is so easy to go into Gunnison to Crested Butte for groceries or dinner. The kitchen is very nice and there is plenty of room. We loved sitting on the the deck and watching the river and going down to the deck to fish. The big one got away! We would stay here again.

Fisherman's paradise st Taylor River home

Love this sprawling cabin and property on the Taylor River. Beautiful updated kitchen and bathrooms. Slept 8 comfortably. The views are incredible from every direction whether on the river dock or looking up at the rocky cliffs above the lush front yard. The home is conveniently located between Crested Butte and Gunnison. Highly recommend for family vacations.

The facility can't be beat. A really good 4 BR with one room that has twin beds. Some of the amenities and minor maintenance could have been upgraded to make it truly fantastic. Overall very good. The deck, firepit area and the "pier" by the river were fabulous. Fishing was also good.
