The Pele Tower has provided refuge to many people over many centuries, and now we were able to get away from it all too in this beautifully converted ancient tower house. Whittingham is a peaceful gem of a village which gave us great access to the stunning Northumberland coast, with its white sands and castles, as well as market towns like Alnwick and Rothbury. The house is beautifully clean, with every modern convenience - we loved the deep bath, the huge snooker table, the four poster bedroom, the American style fridge with ice-maker, the views from the windows, the sunny garden and the Northumbrian flag flying from the rooftop. A very special holiday and we can’t wait to return.
