Nyligen renoverad stuga i vackra Woodland Gardens

Ladywood Lodge har ett fantastiskt läge med utsikt över skog och berg runt omkring. Det är mycket privat med enkel parkering på plats. Stugan ligger nära huvudhuset och delar en väg som leder till sin egen (separata) ytterdörr. The Lodge delar 2 tunnland trädgård med huvudhuset, så vi ber att hundar ska vara väl uppförda när de är i trädgården. Boendet består av ett stort studiorum med nyrenoverat separat kök och eget duschrum. Möbler har stil i stil, vilket återspeglar att fastigheten är från tidigt 1900-tal. Det finns en liten uteplats med bord och stolar utanför. Ladywood nås via en lugn landsväg så det är extremt lugnt, utan vägbuller. Promenader från stugan inkluderar upp White Moss Common, till Rydal Caves och ner till sjön Grasmere och Dove Cottage. Det finns härlig utsikt över Nab Scar och Silver Howe.

great location

The perfect location, away from the crowds and just a 10 minute walk into Grasmere. Walks directly from the property so we had several days without moving the car. We had the most amazing weather which made the week a great experience. If the weather had been dull, then the property would have been dark as it is surrounded by mature trees and a lovely wild garden.

Very quiet and private with no noise pollution. Over grown garden was amazing. Feels like your in the middle of the woods. About 12 to 15 mins walk to Grasmere. And 5 mins walk to lake If your like walking there is a great walk via the caves to Amblside town. Would definitely book here again. Edward

Relaxing week

Very nice period property, very quirky, very relaxing to sit out on small terrace for breakfast also evening drinks. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely hosts very friendly and warm welcome on arrival, looking forward to a return visit.

Perfect place to escape to

Great location, good walking distance to Grasmere , but still very secluded in it’s little woodland. We had the pleasure of crisp blue skies for our stay which was perfect for walking, although a little chilly in the cottage. Easily rectified though by snuggling up by the fire 🔥 Thanks to the hosts as well for such a warm welcome

Perfect Solitude

Booked this stay a while ago for My wife and I, (and the dog). It didn't disappoint :-) Location was perfect, hidden in the dense woodland but yet only a short distance from civilisation (Grasmere). A mixture of modern (Kitchen/Bathroom) and "oldy worldy" quaint in the open plan bed/sitting/dining room. Loved every minute of it - despite the weather. Will seriously consider coming back again.

The Beautiful Lakes

Overall we had a reasonable stay. The location was perfect. The cottage, not so. we had a couple of problems with the water and warning!!!! TAKE a TORCH T night you can't see you hands in front of you!! We love the Lake District so we weren't disappointed in the area at all. We discovered a beautiful walk and run for the dog, just across the road. It's up for sale and if I had the money...…….. Not for us but it is fairly unique. The Perfect Retreat

What a perfect place - despite the weather I had a wonderful week. The Lodge has been well planned and had everything I needed -without undermining its Edwardian origins. A perfect retreat providing peace and tranquility. Lots of great walks and the it was lovely to return to The Lodge and its 'hideaway' setting. I look forward to returning. I was made to feel so welcome.

A hidden gem

A perfect hideaway. Only just off the main road but may as well be in the middle of nowhere, it's that quiet. Perfect for exploring the walks local to Grasmere - we didn't move the car for three days. The cottage is all your need. Ruth, our host, is great and always around if needed for anything.

Lovely and peaceful !

Very nice unusual period property with everything you need. Bathroom new and good shower. Kitchen is a bit small for space for preparing food. Garden outside very lush, it is enclosed but shared with the big house next door to the property. If you have dogs they will be roaming in a garden shared by owner and visitors of owners. Owner is very nice lady.

Lakeland Retreat

This was the perfect accommodation for us plus one dog. Accommodation owner was helpful but never intrusive. Good central spot to get to all our favourite places to walk. Will definitely return.

Relaxing few days in a beautiful location

The lodge is in a wonderfully secluded location just outside grasmere, surrounded by an enclosed woodland garden. The property itself is a bit tired and could definitely do with a deeper clean and a bit of tlc- particularly the bathroom and kitchen which need a total revamp! having said that, it does grow on you after a day or two, was warm and cosy and certainly peaceful. My elderly mum found the steps down into the kitchen a bit difficult at times - a handrail would be useful (there is one down to the bathroom ). we did, however have a lovely enjoyable few days, as did my young spaniel, and would probably book again as it was a good base, the garden was just ‘us’ and the communication with host was good - Ruth even provided me with a zbed so that I didn’t have to bed share with mum! Thank you!

A wonderful little one-room cottage hidden in the woods above Lake Grasmere

We enjoyed 4 relaxed days in this beautiful, old-fashioned cottage. It is very secluded and quiet. The panoramic window towards the garden quickly became our favourite place! The cottage is small, but easily large enough for two people and a dog, as in our case. We would love to come back!
