WONDERFUL!!

Our stay was too brief! Our room was comfortable, warm and very clean. The setting is remote and quiet. Breakfast was a delight with very interesting company. We have only stayed in a few BB's and this was a wonderful experience. Don't hesitate to stay here....you'll be glad you did! Thank you June and John!

Great place for a weekend getaway

Phenomenal place! Clean, very friendly and an EXCELLENT breakfast made from farm grown produce. We are already looking forward to another visit!

Nice B&B with a large room in a beautiful setting. Very difficult to find especially at night with no lighting. Charged an additional $35 for third person in the room which was not specified by Hotels.com when we booked. Aero bed and the breakfast did not seem to warrant the additional charge.

A beautiful B & B!

The Halcyon Farm Bed & Breakfast was a welcome serene retreat for me. The accommodations were clean, inviting, and extremely comfortable! The Farm is a must-see!

Beautiful Place

Room was beautiful and clean. Large bathroom. Breakfast was pancakes which were very good. Location is about 15 min off the highway... Perfect location..wish I had stayed two nights to be able to enjoy the location and scenery at the hotel. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Beautiful Inn

My husband and I stayed one night in this beautiful b &b. We stayed in the Halcyon room it was very very clean and very comfortable. June and John were lovely we spoke about the beauty and history of the house. They were very helpful and unobstusive in our stay. We will certainly come back for a longer visit. The breakfast was delish. June catered to other guests dietary needs without taking away from others experiences this was very thoughtful. Come enjoy the peace and quiet. Was a super night not far from the city a lovely drive. I would only say to map it with regular GPS, expedia mapped us all backwards in dirt roads. Was funny and added to the adventure.

Peaceful and friendly retreat

We spent two nights during my high school reunion weekend at Halcyon Farm. The room was lovely and the common areas filled with charming pictures, antiques and books. Breakfast s were delicious and plentiful. We'll be back!

It was a sticky summer night and the room air conditioner was excessively loud, so had to shut it off, which made sleeping a bit difficult,

Bike the Erie Canal

This is a great place to stay if you would like to bike sections of the Erie canal. There are several places to park within 5 to 7 miles which allow you to explore some scenic and historic sections. Amsterdam is not very interesting but you are only 35 minutes from Saratoga Springs. The farm is lovely and the hosts gracious.

Wonderful B&B for business or pleasure

Halcyon B&B is a beautiful charming place, set on a classic upstate New York farmstead, run by friendly, kind owners Joan and John. The house is classic New England with a measure of elegance, the beds comfortable and the rooms well furnished. You won't be disappointed by the food either; every morning is something different, made from scratch from Joan's kitchen. Even in bitter winter, the rooms are warm and romantic, heated by gas fireplaces that keeps them toasty. You won't regret your stay here!

Elegant, Roomy, Serene, and Clean!

My husband and I very much enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful location of The Halcyon....We were impressed with the beauty and spaciousness of our room, The Magnolia, as well as the cleanliness of the Inn. The ensuite bathroom was updated and appointed quite elegantly so as to carry through with the feeling of a stately manor. Antiques galore and beautiful décor abound! Breakfast was wonderful and served in a lovely dining room that looked out over a vast field of green....It included a scrumptious side dish made from the freshest tomatoes (directly from the family/on-site garden) with seasoned bread crumbs. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend "The Halcyon Farm B & B" to everyone I know who might visit the area.

Excellent one night stay

We had a lovely room. very comfortable bed, ample size private bathroom and an amazing breakfast. The innkeepers, June and John were the best.

Life in the country ... still exists!

Serene location in New York countryside. A pleasant surprise for most non-New Yorkers. Aroma from freshly cut hay field triggered childhood memories. Amazingly gracious and helpful hosts! Abundant gourmet breakfasts with fresh picked fruit. Unexpected information gained from other guests during breakfast. Able to open windows and enjoy the sounds of nature.

Quaint traditional farm setting

A real find not too far from the NYS Thruway. Beautiful farmhouse with lots of history, great rooms, great breakfast, great hosts.

Lovely Place on a Farm

This inn is very pleasant with sweeping views of surrounding fields, a comfortable well equipped room and inviting common spaces. The breakfast was perfect, not over the top as many B&B breakfasts are but a sensible and delicious meal. Only two caveats: cell service is spotty at best ( the wifi is great) and it's not in town so you have to drive to dinner and attractions. June and John can offer good advice on all that, though.

This was the most beautiful setting for a B&B. It was out in the country and so very quite. It was just close enough to town, and eating establishments to make it very convenient. Loved, loved, loved it. We will be going back in the near future. June was the ultimate hostess, and made us the most wonderful breakfasts. Thanks so much.
