AMORE RENTALS - Villa Olivella with Pool, Garden and Sea View
Retreat to the beauty and elegance of a lavishly restored historic home with dazzling sea views at the foot of Monte Solaro on the island of Capri.
Shaped as much by its history as the surrounding landscapes, Villa Olivella is an extraordinary villa, remarkable both for its past and its aesthetic beauty. Built by the Italian archaeologist Amedeo Maiuri whilst working on the excavations at Villa Jovis, the six-bedroom villa has been exquisitely refurbished in a style that blends classic beauty with contemporary design and comfort. Located at the foot of Monte Solaro, Villa Olivella is in Anacapri, the quieter, less frequented western side of the island of Capri.
Set amidst 2000m² of vegetation with holm oak, olive and carob trees, the villa is perfect for whiling away lazy days outstretched on a sun lounger by the gorgeous infinity pool, or in the jacuzzi. At aperitivo time, relocate to one of the magnificent shaded terraces and enjoy mesmerising views over Monte Solaro and the entire island while you sip on a glass of chilled wine.
Tailormade for relaxing breakfasts on the main panoramic terrace, or relaxing and chatting in its outdoor lounge space, this is a villa designed for outdoor living. The villa also has its own mini open-air gym.
Interiors extend over 200m² on two floors, providing spacious and stylishly furnished living space. Gentle curves and arches lead from one room to another, and vast panoramic windows flood rooms with light. Throughout the villa, the distinctive décor is carefully designed to reflect the twin themes of archaeology and the colours of Capri, with bold use of vivid reds, blues and yellows, and striking accessories and objects d’art with their own fascinating backstory.
Entry from the street is via a small flight of stairs into a reception area. From here, a simply furnished living room has sofa seating and a large fireplace, a welcome addition during the cooler months of the year. The room has direct access onto the main furnished panoramic terrace and, through a softly curved archway echoing the exquisite curves of the window beyond, into the dining room. Off the dining room, the somewhat retro but eye-catching vivid red kitchen is equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious Italian feast.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
Four of the six double bedrooms (all 14m²) are on the ground floor, and two on the first floor.
