DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I made my reservation, trusting that Expedia would not send me, a female traveling alone, to an unsafe place. I was wrong! When I pulled in, I could already see this was not the type of place I should be staying. I walked in to try to cancel and was met with an extremely rude person who could not care less about the safety concerns that I questioned. In fact, completely belittled me and made me feel unsafe in his presence. I walked out thinking that maybe I was overreacting and saw a police officer parked across the street. So I drove over to ask the police officer, his thoughts. He very clearly and very directly recommended that I leave the facility immediately. He said that this motel was not a safe place for a female to stay alone!! He said they had regular drug busts as well as other issues with paying for sex.
I left right away and called Expedia to cancel immediately. The gentleman on the phone was kind but said that since my booking had not yet cleared he had to wait to get me my refund. However, he assured me that he would and that he would CALL ME to follow up.
Then 2 days later I received an email from Expedia saying “The hotel will not give us a refund so, we cannot give you one. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”
SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE???? Expedia thinks that its misadvertising and sending its customer into a dangerous situation is just an inconvenience????
I called immediately and Jesus the manager tried to blame me!!!!!
