“Best Western Chocolate Lake was such a great place to stay. Let’s start with the lake in the rear of the property. Gorgeous and peaceful. Many guests went in with paddle boards or water loungers. Breakfast was hot and great. They also had to-go containers if you wanted to take breakfast with you. Parking was included as well. “Underwhelming. Despite what appeared to be a recent renovation, the hotel and room weren’t updated with the best quality work (already cracked tiles, gaps in tiling, drywall not fully sanded down, baseboards gaping). The public areas felt tired too and they shared that they ran out of carpet to finish the job so have make-shift washable carpets and wood framing by the lobby. Cleaning was not great either with crumbs on the room floor and some leftover crusty toothpaste in the bathroom. Our room...
