âLovely old pub, nice friendly staff. We booked the large double which was extremely comfortable, great pillows. The only let down was the cold, it was freezing. Heating wasn't working. This wouldn't put me off staying again, as it's a really nice placeâ
âWe got our room 2,5 hours too late just to find an unclean room with a squeaky bed which also turned out to be very noisy from both other rooms and the pub.
Although we asked the management to mend our bed it was never sorted out.
The restaurant's food was not good and still quite expensive. However, great breakfast and location very nice for the price of a five star hotel...

âThe bed was a king size comfortable bed with nice linen. Clean fluffy towels and plenty of room in the bathroom. The shower was good and did not have any mould. We stayed in one of the pubs old out buildings that has been converted into accommodation. No frills, clean and private. The only thing to consider is that the headboard backs onto the road. That being said only 3 vehicles passed during our stay. The owner was nice and chatty. The blinds in the bedroom did let the morning sun in they did...
âRenovated clean place with a comfy double-bed (the bed sofa not so, unfortunately) and a small pentry with a micro-wave. No cooking facilities though. Close to bus stops, restaurants, city center and Brighton beach. Very neat and nice.

âThis is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....
âCosy and in the centre of the village, with a lovely setting. The pub downstairs is aswell cosy. You dont hear any sound from the pub. Maybe the churchbell Will waken you, but we find it charming. Will come back here sometime.â
