Cove Cottage: Panoramautsikt över havet på avskild Oregon kust i parken

Cove Cottage ligger på en kulle med en vacker utsikt över havet. Det har utsikt över Cove Beach, bara 3 minuters promenad bort. Ligger mellan Cannon Beach och Manzanita, är stugan omgiven av de gamla tillväxtskogarna i Oswald West State Park. Delar av Oregon Islands National Wildlife Sanctuary syns från vardagsrummet. Njut av en grill eller havets ljud från däck. Eller titta på skytte stjärnor på natten från Marquis 3-personers badtunna som ligger på däck.

Cove Beach är en av de minst kända stränderna på norra Oregon kusten. Titta på pelikaner och skarv från vardagsrummet när de går på Castle Rock, en del av Oregon Islands National Wildlife Sanctuary. Under lågvatten exponeras en vidsträckt sandstrand vid Cove Beach. Det är vanligt att ha hela två milstranden för dig själv en sällsynt behandling inte bara för Oregon, utan för större delen av världen. Under högvatten är det inte mycket sand exponerat, men du kan köra en mil till Arch Cape Beach där det alltid finns sand. Eller inom 6 miles söderut kan du besöka Manzanita Beach, en sträcka på sju mil till stranden.

Cove Cottage har nyligen totalrenoverats. Det är bekvämt och välutrustat med öppen spis, TV, WIFI. Det är enkelt, bekvämt och trevligt. Den 1500 kvadratmeter stora stugan har panoramautsikt över havet, ett expansivt däck med grill och badtunna, ett stort bra rum, 3 sovrum och en övervåning / loft med spiraltrappa, alla nya apparater, underbara trägolv och en 1100 kvadrat fotdäck tillverkat av hållbart skördade Red Balau mahogny. Observera att en smal spiraltrappa till båda sovrummen på övervåningen och att båda badrummen är nere. Vissa tycker att detta är utmanande eller obehagligt, särskilt på natten. De flesta av våra gäster bryr sig inte och betraktar det som en del av stugans charm; Men om dessa funktioner skulle vara begränsande och obekväma för dig eller dina gäster, föreslår vi att du hittar alternativa bostäder.

Fritidsaktiviteter på plats inkluderar badning, fågelskådning, promenader i sanden och tidvattenbassänger, valskådning, djurliv och promenader i parken och skogen. Off-site, i Manzanita och Cannon Beach, är ridning, golf och natursköna enheter. Kusten längre bort har djuphavsfiske, cykling, kajakpaddling, mountainbike, surffiske, tennis och vindsurfing.

The craftsmanship of this home was great. Close walk to almost private beach. Centrally located to many places. Clean, nice deck, hot tub, welcoming gifts, Stars galore at night, Stocked fireplace. Stocked kitchen and some pantry items. Definitely recommend!

Felt like home

Our stay at Cove Cottage was perfection. The cottage itself was well equipped and impeccably clean. I'm not sure we've ever been more "at home" in a VRBO than we were here. The location couldn't have been better. We weren't more than 20 minutes in any direction from amazing hikes, beaches, and cute little towns. Coming back to the cottage, surrounded by the forest and steps from the beach was so relaxing after our days exploring. The beach itself was beautiful. We were lucky enough to get some lovely sunsets while we were here. Our kids loved finding sand dollars on the beach also! The hot tub was a nice way to relax too. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for a 10/10 vacation!

Arch Cape Quiet

Cove Cottage offers a lovely location in Arch Cape. Centrally located to Cannon Beach, or Manzanita and Nehalem. It poured the whole time but we were happy playing games and enjoying the beautiful view. Well stocked and an excellent kitchen for a cook.

Excellent Oregon Vacation

Exactly what was needed

We booked four nights at this beautiful home. While it was between Manzanita and Arch Cape it was easy to find because of both great directions as well as our navigation.The home is exactly as the pictures indicated and there were no surprises...other than the free coffee and goodies the owners provided. Our weather was all rain and wind but that did not dampen our spirits. The view is amazing and the hottub is both wonderful and relatively private.We loved our time and would recommend it to everyone.

Oregon Coast in January

A great stay at a cabin that was perfect for storm watching. Cozy wood interior in a cabin that accommodated five without feeling cramped. Beautiful forest setting with ocean view and a short drive from popular beaches. Hosts had the cabin well-stocked, clean and offered clear instructions.

Wonderful experience

Could not have been more pleased with the location and the home. Owners have given much thought and attention to detail. We had everything that we needed and excellent communication with the hosts. The beach is fabulous and access was easy for us even with one recovering from recent knee surgery. Would love to return.

Beautiful, cozy place with generous hosts

The coziest little beach house. We had it on an overcast rainy weekend and it was perfect, with a great ocean view from inside and hot tub to still get outside. Everything is well stocked and delivers on what you would need for a nice stay. We had a minor snafu when we first got there and John and Maria, the hosts, were so generous in helping provide a great experience. Their kindness gets 5 stars - we would love to stay here again.

Starry ocean paradise

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and vacation trip and it was just delightful! This was our second Oregon coast vacation we've done, and it was everything we were looking for and inspires us to come back again when we can. Details....we picked this particular area because we were interested in tide pools. This property is facing Cove Beach which a a lovely beach that's off the beaten path. The owner John was very helpful with giving us tide pool tips and directed us to the south end of cove beach where we found wonderful tide pool creatures - plenty of sea starts and green anemones. We did find the riprap hill we had to climb directly from the cottage to be steep even though access was very close. So advice for the less athletic, use the stairs a few blocks down at Richmond and Tide Rd where the riprap is flat. The cottage was incredibly well equipped - plenty of wonderful soft fluffy towels/robes for hot tub, a wonderfully equipped kitchen that my husband was able to easily cook some quesadillas in. There was a welcome package that included scrumptious Sleepy Monk coffee. The views of the stars were incredible - I haven't seen stars like that since I was a small child, I'd forgotten they even could look like that. We were able to spot the Milky Way! Also marvelous wood burning fireplace with clear instructions, and all the supplies we needed. And last but not least the views of the ocean are panoramic even from indoors!

Magical views

Great location and the view is magical! Super easy to get into Cannon Beach and Manzanita. House is lovely. Everything you need is there! Only downside is both bathrooms are downstairs. Would highly recommend Cove Cottage.

Our vacation was amazing! The house was everything we could ask for and more. The hosts are so thoughtful in providing all the little things that you don't realize you need until you need them. We wanted for nothing. The view was breathtaking, the hot tub was fantastic! The beach was so much fun and the sunsets were out of this world. My only regret is that I only booked it for 5 nights :) Can't wait to go back. If you have an opportunity to rent this beautiful home I highly recommend that you do.

Relaxing and quiet getaway

We had a lovely little getaway as a family to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary. The cottage has a timeless charm to it, and although you might call the decor dated, it’s very, very well kept. There is a nice TV in the living area, but you won’t need nor want to use it. The views are amazing, and our little ones (age 5 and 17 months) spent hours coloring, building legos, or “whale watching” at the table with the near panoramic ocean views to grab their attention. At low tide we enjoyed building sandcastles and flying our kite. We even added some painted rocks to the ocean “sand dollar” trail. The stairs do take some getting used to, but our 5 year old son sure loved them and a strategically placed cooler kept our daughter from attempting to use them. Plus, they really add to fun of the cottage. If you’d like a quiet and peaceful getaway with ocean views and access this is a great little spot.

A secluded treasure on the coast

Our family had the good fortune to be able to stay at Cove Cottage for a few nights this July after a 7 day Alaska cruise. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Pre-check in communication was great with the hosts offering recommendations for the drive down and for child-friendly activities nearby. The house itself is charming and also thoughtfully stocked with kitchen essentials, laundry and bath items, games, extra propane for the grill, a meat thermometer, crab crackers, earthquake go-bags, and even a spotting scope for wildlife and stargazing. The hot tub was clean and easy to use. We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals as a family and this was one of the few visits where we did not have to go and buy something like paper towels. It’s clear the hosts love this cottage and have thought of everything you might need to enjoy your stay here. And you will enjoy your stay. Simply put, the location is incredibly unique and special. You turn off the coastal highway and follow a winding trail through a beautiful fern and Sitka forest to a series of gravel roads. The house is set apart from the others with a magnificent view of Cove beach and Gull Rock. There is a nearby path lined with sand dollars and painted rocks that goes directly to the beach. We rarely saw others on the beach. In fact, when we visited other nearby beaches like Cannon Beach, they felt positively crowded by comparison and we wanted to return home to our “private beach.”

Amazing views!

This was an amazing place to stay. Just driving in from the highway through the forest and then ending up at the property was like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We saw elk and deer everyday. It was magical. The phone service was limited but I didn’t mind. I actually finished the whole puzzle that was there! I would highly recommend this property!
