I stayed somewhere else on the Wharf on a recent trip and immediately regretted not staying here again. Lessons learned, I will ONLY stay at the Pendry for future trips to DC. â
âI travel to the DMV often. Generally, when i book my stays, I try to stay at a Bon Voy property. Somehow this go around I was directed to the Thompson and what a stay it was. Nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is stellar!â

âHigh-end hotel with a funky vibe. Location is great, as there are plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance. Room was nicely decorated, and the bed was firm, supportive, and super comfortable. Two minor quibbles:
1. Main shower head wasn't functional, so the lower hand-held shower head was the only option. It can be mounted, but it's a bit too low.
2. The record player in the room, along with several albums, is a nice touch. Placing it in the middle of the working desk was not ideal,...

Lobbyarea has a cool livingroom vibe and the bar serves up some good drinks and barfood. Eveything in the room is controlled by an ipad, it works and you get used to it qiuckly. A good hotel close to the main monuments and museums. Train station close by and easy to get to airport or unionsation. "
