“We celebrated our Golden Wedding at the Coniston Hotel, along with 12 friends. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The service was excellent and the location was superb with views over the lake from all our rooms. All our friends thought the hotel was a perfect venue for our weekend celebration. It was a terriable experience.There were bugs in that room.In the morning my wife saw the bug which climbed to her arm.she got bitten in arm,chest,leg and waist.it was bloody.we asked half of the price back.but they refused.It is totally low and respectless. “Clean comfortable and very quiet. Not noticeably busy at all. Rather dated interior & no food served at the hotel. No breakfast lunches or evening meals despite notices outside saying hotel has a restaurant. It doesn’t.
