Mindre Àn 25 miles upp Highway 4 Àr skidorten Bear Valley. Det erbjuder tio liftar och 75 + stig över 1680 skidhöjda hektar och en 1900 'vertikal droppe frÄn en topphöjd pÄ 8.495 fot. Det finns ocksÄ miles av stigar som vandrar genom Àngar och skogar vid foten av berget som erbjuder utmÀrkt lÀngdskidÄkning.

Vi gillar att sluta pÄ vÀg hem frÄn skidÄkning pÄ Lube Room, i Dorrington, bara 9 miles frÄn stugan. Denna lokala favorit pub / restaurang, har fatöl, levande folkmusik och en mÀngd olika spel.

Calaveras Big Trees State Park ligger tre kilometer frÄn stugan i andra riktningen mot Arnold, CA. PÄ sommaren erbjuder omrÄdets parker simning och öringfiske i de majestÀtiska strömmar och floder som kurvor genom skogarna av fantastiska tallar, Sequoias och Redwoods som har gjort omrÄdet kÀnt.

Sam’s cabin

Recently, we stayed at Sam’s cabin for the second time. We got there before the storm hit the area so having a fire place inside was a plus and made our stay very pleasant.It was a great experience not only because the cabin was cozy and welcoming but also it snowed a lot and the entire family had a opportunity to be creative outside whether to build a snowman or have a snowball fight as well as walking around the quiet neighborhood. We’ll recommend the cabin,it is equipped with the necessities, easy to access also communication with the owner is smooth and easy,so we’ll plan to come back.

Get what you pay for.

This is a cozy little cabin that needs some new amenities and furniture. The furniture is broken down and very uncomfortable. Light bulbs in the living room are burned out, bed sheets have holes in them. All the utensils in the kitchen are very old as well as pots and pans. The owner really needs to spend a little money on the place to make it worth the stay. Unless some upgrades are made will will not be returning.

Awesome Place and Host

Sam is an awesome host. He responds pretty quick and accommodating. For a first timer vacationing in a cabin, we had very good experience. The location is convenient and near hiking areas etc. When we got to the place, we thought that the previous renters left their food, realizing later they are food stocked for guests like us. That’s a plus! We had all we need. My family wanted to stay more days unfortunately it’s already booked for the next days but we will definitely go back. The house is warm and cozy. Thanks again Sam!

We enjoyed a much needed respite from our day to day lives. The ability to make day trips to the local fishing holes, hiking spots, and Big Trees was an added bonus for us. Our teenage boys had so much fun and the cabin was just what our family of four needed for our trip. The grocery store was close enough for us if we needed something for our meals. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area.

Great cabin and great location.

We had a wonderful stay, so many great little places to visit near by. My kids had a blast in the trees around. The cabin is so cozy and the kitchen was easy enough to cook in. The whole experience was great.

Great location for skiing in Bear Valley!

We had a great time staying in Dorrington in this roomy, comfortable house. It sleeps up to 6 and we had 4 comfortably staying there with a nice kitchen, easy to cook meals. Convenient 25-30 min drive to Bear Valley downhill skiing.

Cozy cabin in the woods

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) loved staying here. Perfect size for a family of 4-6. Clean and full kitchen. Lovely forested area in Dorrington. We mostly ate in and then skied at Bear Valley. About a 30 min drive to the slopes.

Great fun in the snow

We had an awesome stay at your cabin. It was cozy and the perfect size for our family. We had fun in the snow in the yard as well as had a very easy time finding places to play in the snow and ski up at Bear Valley. Highly recommend this cabin and we look forward to staying here again!

Cabin is cozy, warm & welcoming. Awesome location!

The Ward cabin was cozy and welcoming. My family and I had a very relaxing stay amongst the beautiful trees and snow. We had trouble with the coffee maker. It was covered in old coffee grinds. We lost power due to the storm so we could not cook on the electric stove top but we made the best of it and warmed up with the wood stove.

Snow vacation

It was nice, beautiful view of the outdoors. Didn’t need to drive to far up for snow. Only the downstairs tv worked. And some lights weren’t working. Other than those minor things everything was great. Looking forward to our next trip

I would say the property is nice, it could be much better.

We arrived at the proper time, we realize the power was out, but the home was very dirty. No trash was taken from previous people, there was clothes in the washing machine, clothes in the dryer, Food left in the refrigertor still in boxes, the floors where dirty, needed cleaning. This was not proper for the money we paid for, we finally received clean sheets and towels. But had to make beds ourselves. Just not the nicest for VIBO to advetise on your system. Gene Johnson

Enjoyable weekend away

Sam was very nice and had been quick to respond to my unusual questions. He allowed us to stay a few extra hours on check-out day since no one was checking in that evening. We spent most of our time on the deck. Very pleasant. Very quiet. We love the sound of wind brushing the trees. We had 5 there and it was overall comfortable. You won't want to bring more than 5 or 6 there. Thank you Sam!

Exactly as described.

Stayed here for a week.. Loved the cabin. Family had fun especially my 3yr old who's never been out of our home town area for more than a day. Don't have a single complaint about the cabin and communication with the owner was grate. Will and have recommended this cabin to friends.
