  • Garber Kiowa Retreat är ett klassiskt stuga med utsikt över skogen på en plan hörnet. Med välvda trätak, öppen planlösning och ett däck utanför vardagsrummet, vill du inte lämna! En delvis ombyggnad kommer att slutföras vid Memorial Day med alla nya mattor i bottenvåningen, köket får granitbänkskivor, diskmaskin och kylskåp. Alla sänkor och kranar i hela huset byts ut. 2 nätter minimum vistelse / 3 natt minimum under semestertider / 4 natt minimum under jul och nyår. Huvudvåningen är en flygning upp från utomhusparkering. Njut av eldstaden på vintern eller på svala sommarmorgnar. Vardagsrummet har en ny 40 "smart-TV med Comcast-kabel, bra och snabba WIFI-, videobandspelare, CD- och DVD-spelare, gratis Amazon- och Netflix-konton samt ett litet DVD- och VHS-bibliotek. Det finns också brädspel, pussel och böcker som gästerna kan njuta av. Det finns plats för tre vid köksbänken - njut av frukost eller ett snabbt mellanmål där. Matbordet har åtta bekvämt. På bottenvåningen finns det två sovrum - alla med en dubbelsäng och badrummet har en dusch / badkar combo. På bottenvåningen finns det också en staplad tvättmaskin / torktumlare för gästbruk. På övervåningen finns ett litet loft med ett fotbollsbord, soffa, beanbag stol och liten videobandspelare ingen TV eller kabel (det finns en mycket liten TV och kabel för barnen så detta behövs inte). Sovrummet på övervåningen har en drottning och två enkelsängar. Det övre våningen har badkar / dusch combo. Njut av sommargrillar runt picknickbordet eller bara njut av utsikten med din morgonkopp kaffe. Det finns en kolgrill på däck för gästbruk (gästerna ska ta med sin egen kol.) Gäster som bokar sju eller fler nätter får 5% rabatt på sin nattliga hyra. Gästerna har GRATIS sommarpool och recenter i Big Trees Village rec center. Kolla in rec center vid Big Trees State Park gångavstånd är 0. 5 miles från stugan, vid slutet av Cheyenne sätt, och det finns miles av gamla gatan eldvägar för vandring eller skidåkning ett kvarter från stugan. 2 nätter minimum vistelse / 3 natt minimum under semestertider / 4 natt minimum under jul och nyår. Gästlinne ingår INTE, Rökning förbjuden, Inga husdjur.

Great Vacation Cabin

This was our second time staying at this property, and it was, again, great! We enjoy its proximity to Bear Valley Skiing. Hopefully we will return for another visit!

A nice cabin

We came to ski and this was perfectly located. We cooked in and the kitchen was well equipped. They even had a slow cooker which made dinner easy.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was literally a last minute booking thru Vrbo. As it was last minute Dorrington Realty was able to accommodate us with last minute arrival. We truly enjoyed our stay. Really had that cabin look and feel. 4th of July weekend was very pleasant. Enough room for the whole family. Cabin had everything you needed, fully stocked. We will definitely cone back.

Cozy Cabin with Access to Trees and Ski Slopes

It's a nice cabin within 35 min drive of Bear Valley Ski or Sno-park sledding options and very close to Calaveras Big Trees park. The cabin itself is well equipped for cooking and enjoying the company of others around the dining table, or the gas-burning stove (heater). A decent grocery store is only 15 min drive, so overall we found it easy and convenient.

Needs a little maintenance

Nice cabin on a court; little traffic. When we arrived, the cabin was extremely cold. It had snowed the night before. The Nest thermostat didn’t work. The cabin is primarily heated by a gas fireplace located in the living room. We kept trying for about 20 minutes, then called the management company. The rep was very apologetic and said that the Nest thermostat had been a problem for some time; maybe needing batteries? Anyway, he was able to help us locate the “emergency” thermostat and get it hooked up. This worked fine throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we noted that the door stop behind the front door had been broken. A flood light on the deck wasn’t working. Tried to find a replacement bulb, without success. Upon trying to ensure that the bulb was appropriately tightened it was noted that the socket was probably broken. The cabin was very comfortable and met our needs. It was about a 25 minute drive to Bear Valley for our cross country skiing. The cabin is near Arnold and its restaurants a good grocery store and the Big Trees state park. The informational binder in the cabin was very helpful, but needs to be reviewed and updated. For example, the binder states the check out time is 11am. This would have been a more reasonable time and would have provided one more relaxed morning in the cabin. Other reviewers have also stated this. Didn’t want to leave. Would return!

Reviewer Comments: This was a great house and was very comfortable for our family of 4, with an extra set of grand parents joining us for a couple of days.The kitchen was well stocked and I especially appreciated the beautiful handmade mugs (maybe the owner is a potter?) I’d definitely choose to stay here again in the future!

Good location and nice stay

We enjoyed the drive to Arnold and the stay. There are some restaurants within 15m drive, and more when we reach Bear Valley ski resort. It takes 30m to Bear Valley ski resort which is manageable. Everything is accurate to the listings. Good stay with kids.

First snow trip for 3 kids under 6

Lovely cabin, very gentle slope and perfect for our little ones who’ve never been in snow. The fire was on with relaxing music when we arrived and it was so cozy after the long drive. Beautiful views from the main level. Very cozy but still had a nice amount of space for the kids to play safely and a large table for meals. My 5 year old also really loved the color of the granite countertops! :)

Great Long Weekend Getaway!

We had a fantastic time staying at this 3 bedroom property. The description of the home matched what we read online. All amenities were in in good shape and easy to find/use. The home is well taken care of and has a great cabin vibe. We have a toddler, so the upstairs railings were a little wide spread, but we always kept an eye on him, as he wanted to be in the game area - the foosball table was tons of fun! The house's close proximity to Bear Valley Skiing was one of the main reasons we chose it, and it didn't disappoint. We definitely hope to return to this home again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself is quite beautiful, although very outdated furniture and amenities. I did not mind that so much but if you’re looking for updated that may be an issue for you. Honestly, the biggest issue for us was the fact that there was no air-conditioning. When I went back and read the amenities I noticed air conditioning was not listed but of course that was not some thing I was looking for when I booked the house. It gets so hot in the summer up in the mountains I just assumed there would be air. The house pretty much stayed at 82° the entire time we were there. It went down only a couple degrees at night. This would have been bearable if there were fans in every room but there was not. There was one small broken fan in a closet downstairs and one portable fan that was working in the living room. There’s also a ceiling fan in the living room which helps only if you’re directly under it because the ceiling is so high. Leaving doors and windows open did nothing because there was no breeze whatsoever. No drapes. When the portable fan was on us,it was bearable but again there was only one. I don’t see why there wouldn’t be fans like that in every room if you knew you didn’t have air conditioning. Fans are pretty inexpensive and having fans all over the house would’ve made the trip completely different. Otherwise it’s a very beautiful and quiet area. Lots of squirrels running around and we saw a coyote and a bat. The deck is great to sit out on. I wish they had reclining chairs that you could lay back on, that would be nice and perhaps more comfortable chairs around the table. There was a nice wood table on the deck but it had cheap plastic chairs around it and one bench, neither of which were super comfortable but of course doable. It was still a very nice time. The heat made it impossible to be in the upstairs area and loft which was a bummer since my daughter was looking forward to making that area her ow

Great Place

We had a great time at the cabin. Everything was as-shown in the listing. It was clean, organized and the street it’s on is very quiet. Great place that I would stay at again.

Great Cabin

Loved the cabin it was very clean and cozy and perfect for our annual weekend getaway we take with our aunt and mom. It was very relaxing for the 5 of us and would recommend this cabin for a nice peaceful getaway. It had everything we needed.
