Keen walkers will relish the excellent routes available across the nearby High Peak & Tissington Trails, together with Dovedale and Carsington Water. Nearby you’ll also find the pretty villages of Ilam (20 mins) and Alstonefield (10 mins), and the market towns of Ashbourne (15 mins) and Leek (35 mins). The magnificent country houses of Chatsworth House and Kedleston Hall are a 30-minute drive, and as for any thrill seekers there is Alton Towers!
