âThe room was clean and comfortable, not at all noisy. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and very reasonably priced. The team at the Four Horseshoes were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good too, large portions and a big pot of tea. We had a really relaxing break.â

âA wonderfully quirky cottage, but with everything you need: a well-equipped kitchen; some of the comfiest beds I've slept in; big sofas for lounging on and a landlord who's quick to reply to questions. Ideal for a family - bedrooms are adjoining. Thoroughly recommended. â
âLots of gangs of kids hanging around, and not a safe feeling area. Property lacked basic things that youâd expect in a hotel. No one on site to contact to rectify things. Not a good place to stay. â
âAfter returning to the area after 16 years, we chose this hotel for the personal touch over other chain options. The hotel's staff was amazing and accomodating. They provided great service and every meal was delicious. The Thomas Paine Museum was of special interest and full of information for this history buff. We cant wait to book our next trip.â

Nice to sit with view of river at breakfast. All staff we meet at reception and at breakfast were polite and friendly.â
âSingle room for 1 night, a bit cosy but the price was unbeatable. Quiet, clean, comfy bed, good shower amenities, easy parking, polite staff, good wifi.
Only improvement I can suggest is to put a darker curtain as quite a bit of light goes through during summer.â
