This hotel does not exist!
The biggest problem with Hotel San Francesco is that it does not exist. There used to be such a hotel in Assisi, but it has been permanently closed for some time now, though it accepted my reservation AFTER it had closed. Hotels.com was prompt in giving my my refund, but arriving in a tourist city in the middle of high season with a 2-week reservation to discover that your hotel doesn't exist is, to say the least, a nightmare. Hotels.com says that cannot take down that posting.

closed hotel
After driving 3 hours this hotel was CLOSED! We spoke to people next door and they said they have been closed for months! This was a confirmed reservation !, we had to find another hotel and pay 3times the price. Will never use Expedia again. We lost a lot of our vacation time searching for a last minute hotel.

Hotel was closed when we arrived at doorstep
Hotel was closed when my family of four arrived at the hotel doorstep in May 2018. Hotel did not pick up the phone calls after numerous calling. Left my family and I stranded without accommodation in the cold and rain. Irresponsible behaviour of the hotel.

I indfromed you that we arived in asisi to find that this hotel was closed ( out of business) We had no where to stay in Assisi and had to have the taxi driver take us around town to find a hotel with a room avaialble I have requested a refind from you plus 115 Euro that it cost us to be driven around assisi to find a hotel

The hotel was closed for the season and neither Expedia or Hotel Francesco notified us! As we were dropped and the hotel was closed for the season!

Ci teniamo però a sottolineare che la nostra struttura ha anche delle camere SUPERIOR, di recentissima ristrutturazione le quali dispongono di arredi e finiture eleganti e di pregio. Al momento della prenotazione, visto che le foto pubblicate mettono in luce ogni pregio e difetto delle nostre camere, avrebbe potuto prenotare quelle! Speriamo che voglia tornare a trovarci, certi di poter migliorare la sua opinione dell'hotel. Un cordiale saluto

Great location
If you want to enjoy a view of the basilica then this hotel is great. Make sure you ask for a room with view when you book. Well priced but virtually no soundproofing between rooms so you can hear everything. Rooms are very tired but clean. Would recommend for location but nothing else.

A 20 m dalla Basilica di San Francesco!!!
Hotel situato a 20m dalla Basilica di San Francesco, facilmente raggiungibile dalla Porta di San Giacomo. Il personale è gentile, ma non stucchevole. Colazione anche con dolci al taglio molto buoni, il resto negli standard. Le camere nuove comode, pulite e confortevoli.

眺めが最高
とにかく、眺めが最高でした。冬なので、悪天候を考慮し、サン フランチェスコ教会が窓から眺められる部屋を選びました。時間の経過を持って眺められ大正解でした。立地の割には、安いと思う。サービスは、イタリアの田舎では、英語も流暢でない場合が多いので、まあ普通のレベルで、特に良く感じませんでした。

Excellent Location and Nice Hotel
We only spent one night at Hotel San Francesco in Assisi but we had a great time. The Hotel is located as close as you can get to the magnificent Basilica of San Francesco/St. Francis of Assisi. The hotel is quiet and clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but were more than adequate for our needs. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a very reasonable value. Recommended.

Uma bela estadia.
O Hotel é bem localizado, no centro da cidade. As instalações são antigas, porém tudo funcionando bem, limpo e conservado. A vista é para a basílica de São Francisco e a parte baixa da "comune de Assisi". Funcionários muito atenciosos.

마음에 드는 호텔입니다.
숙소가 산프란체스코 성당을 꼭 지나가야 해서 검문이 있어 무서웠지만, 전반적으로 호텔은 만족스러웠습니다. 다만 언덕 위에 있어서 대중교통 이용시 처음에 짐 끌고 올라가기가 조금 힘들었어요.

I had a very small room and small single bed in a room with old decor and enough dust on top of the wardrobe to write my name in. The bathroom was a joke- no heat, on 3 levels, tiny, with a tiny hip bath as a shower.

Reservamos una habitación para tres adultos. Nos encontramos que no eran tres camas gemelas como estaba anunciado. Eran dos muy cómodas y un catre. Yo me ofrecí en dormir en ella, ya que era la menos grande . Fue muy incómodo

Gentile Signora Maria Jose, Le ribadiamo quanto già comunicato durante il suo soggiorno, non appena ci ha sottoposto il problema. Vi abbiamo assegnato una camera di tipo superior (senza chiedere alcun supplemento!) ma Vi siete lamentati del fatto che un letto fosse un po' più piccolo degli altri. In realtà è un letto di misura standard (cm 80 x 190) del tipo richiudibile . Vi abbiamo prontamente offerto la possibilità di cambiare con una camera di tipo standard (come avevate prenotato) dove i tre letti erano uguali . Avete tuttavia scelto di restare nella camera di tipo superior. Ci auguriamo che abbiate potuto apprezzare altre cose della struttura e del luogo. Speriamo di averVi ancora nostri graditi ospiti. The room was minimalist, the breakfast was OK, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant is geared to travel groups and would recommend you eat elsewhere. Parking anywhere in Assisi is problematic, but if you don't mind a bit of a walk, excellent parking is available for 5 euros at Parcheggio San Giacomo.

聖フランチェスコ聖堂に一番近いホテル。 メインのサン・フランチェスコ通に面しています。 場所はすぐにわかりました。 聖フランチェスコ聖堂まで歩いて、2,3分。 4階から屋上テラスに出ると、聖フランチェスコ聖堂が目の前に見えます。 聖フランチェスコ聖堂のそばに沈む夕日がきれいでした。 風呂は、シャワーだけでは無く、バスタブもありましたが、バスタブは小さかったです。 朝食は、いろいろ種類があって、美味しかったです。 ホテルに昼前に着き、荷物を預かってもらうつもりでしたが、なんと、追加料金無しで アーリーチェックインすることが出来ました。

Godt hotel. Fantastisk beliggenhed!
Hotel ligger lige i smørhullet! Lidt besværligt med parkering og transport af bagage, men har oplevet værre. Venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Dejlig mad i restaurant. Morgenmad består mest af søde sager. Husk at gøre brug af tagterrasse, især ved solnedgang!
