Family reunion
7 family members 78-23 stayed as we had a family reunion in Blackball. Convenient location and good space when we needed to have a time out. Stayed before very enjoyable.

Peaceful, quiet, private cottage
Charlie's Farm Cottage is in a quiet and peaceful location. There is good river access with great jumping/sliding/swimming spot at the beginning of the road, about 1km away. The Cottage was roomy for our family of four, well-designed and equipped. A good launching spot for exploring the Coast.

Very Tranquil
Well appointed vacation house in a lovely rural setting. Easy commute to Greymouth. Love the fact that there was coffee, sugar and tea there on arrival. Good communication too with the owner. Highly recommended

Lovely get away
A great spot to get away from it all. The property is so clean and welcoming. Vase of daffodils on the table and a bowl of farm fresh eggs on the bench, just lovely. Thank you for sharing this charming spot with us. We hope to be back.

Peace and quiet in wonderful rural setting
This cottage is a little gem for those who enjoy peace and quiet. Fantastic views and close by to Greymouth and Reefton. I am sure we will be back here again!

Wow! what an amazing cottage
We absolutely loved our time in your cottage, it is so very well equipped, immaculately clean on arrival, amazing wee spot in the country. We wish we had booked for longer, it was hard to leave. We will definitely be back and recommending to all. Thankyou!

Kylie and her family were great guests. They left the cottage absolutely spike and span and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Perfect for families
We loved staying at Charlie’s farm cottage. It was well equipped and beautifully maintained. It was lovely being right in the country, peaceful beautiful and we had gorgeous weather. The children spent a lot of time down in the river, playing pole tennis and climbing the tree. Although it is quite a drive to get to other west coast attractions it was worth it to be so comfortable and peaceful. Many thanks and we throughly recommend to others. Ps we left our frozen peas in the freezer in the hopes next family could use them.

Great farm stay, everything you need for a family holiday.
Plenty of space. Warm and cosy. We really enjoyed our stay. Gold panning was a fun family activity. The welcome chocolates were a nice touch. Definitely recommend this for a get away.

Like being home
We spent a beautiful week in Charlie‘s cottage, our kids were so happy with all the toys, we discovered local history with the nice books, enjoyed the dvds on rainy days and the panorama from the living. Kitchen is well equipped. With a bit of driving we could visit the area and do some beautiful hikes, goldpanning, visit Hokitika and even Franz-Josef-Glacier. Would definitely come again and recommend to other families or groups!

A wonderfully equipped space with fantastic views and very generous hosts.
We absolutely loved the spot. A brilliant house, very cosy and equipped with everything you would have at home including gold washing pans and picknick blankets. We were lucky to meet our host who was a lovely and good hearted person. The views were stunning, especially in the evenings when the sun set. There is a cool waterhole nearby with swing and slide which is excellent for a hot day. We can recommend this place to families and groups of 8, because it is a spacious place. If we can we will be definitively be back. A home away from home.
