Steamy visit to Plaka
This property is charming, comfortable and conveniently located for access to the Metro, ancient sites like both Agoras, Anafiotika and the Acropolis, and loads of restaurants. My only caveats: as outlined in other reviews, the two front bedrooms are extremely loud with street noise all night long and the loft (a great space) is accessible through a bedroom - so complicated if different bedtimes.

Awesome Place in a Perfect Neighborhood
This place was amazing! The unit had everything that we needed - comfy beds, towels, water, shampoo, etc.. The owner went above and beyond by leaving a book that had recommended restaurants, which we tried and they were so good! The location was perfect! You can’t beat this location! We walked to everything - the Acropolis, markets, restaurants! This place was the most perfect place to stay, especially after a long day of flying from the US with jet lag. It was perfect! You will not be disappointed.

This place was a dream. The location, the property, the staff. Everything was perfect. Ms. ANNA was responsive and answered all questions. The checkin process was seamless. Aspa was there when we arrived. The house smelled so fresh and clean ans was just as advertised. The proximity to everyrhing cant be stated enough. Literally 10min away from everything in any direction. I had onr minor issue with the tv and it was fixed immediately. We at at the next door cafe almsost every day. The stafg were awesome. I would wholeheartedly recommend this location and would absolutely staybhere again of given the chance.

Athens is a breeze from this property!
We absolutely loved stay at Athenian House Plaka. The location was exceptional and we parked at Plaka Parking just a block from the VRBO. George took good care of our 9 person van. Anna was exceptional to work with and met our every need. We have some mobility issues that require us to walk only short distances. This property was so close to the things we wanted to see and the shopping and dining opportunities that it was perfect. The beds were superb and bath/wc facilities were excellent. Our family of 4 adults and three children enjoyed preparing our food and dining in the spacious greatroom. We were comfortable for four days. Our walks to the Keramikos, Acropolis, Acropolis Museum were just minutes away. And when we dined out for breakfast...it was right next door (with a discount!). Shopping was delightful in Place area and everyone ww dealt with was glad to have us in Athens. Karen and I have been traveling to Greece since 1972/73 and this was the best place we ever stayed! You must try it for yourself!

This house was adorable and perfect for our family of 5 (husband and I, 2 adult children and 1 significant other). Everything we needed was within walking distance, restaurants, shopping etc. The loft area was a great addition, my daughters loved watching their favorite movies up there. We would definitely stay there again!

Anna and her staff were excellent and always available. Location was wonderful. Only recommendations are (1) inform people that the plumbing is old and does not allow paper waste to be flushed because it could impact the decision to book or not, especially with children in the group, and (2) inform people that the restaurant next door has two tables directly under your front window and can smoke, drink, etc. the entire time the place is open. Best location in Athens!
Our family spent a few nights in this lovely property which is right in the Plaka, within walking distance to everything! The location is perfect for sightseeing and the nearby restaurants were very welcoming to us and the young children in our group. And the washer and dryer were a major plus for anyone on an extended trip. We put it to good use for sure! Highly recommended!

Amazing stay in Athens!
The Athenian House in the Plaka neighborhood was the perfect property for our visit to Athens! We had a group of 10 adults and the house accommodated all of us very comfortably and the teenagers loved staying in the attic! The location of this property cannot be beat! It is located on one of the most beautiful streets in the area, there are many taverns, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, shops, etc. within very short walking distance. It is also a short walk to the Acropolis and other monuments. The area right outside the front door (the "perch" as we called it)quickly became our favorite spot for morning coffee and afternoon/evening cocktails with great service from the neighboring tavern. And Anna the host was extremely helpful in arranging airport transfers, in arranging a guide for a walking tour of the area and in suggesting places to eat and have a drink in the area. I would absolutely recommend this property and I hope to have the chance to stay there again. The entire experience was perfect! Thank you!

Perfect 3 days in Athens
We are a family of 5. The location of the property is perfect. You can walk anywhere in the city easily and the metro is close. The property is well maintained, large spaces, comfortable beds and clean. It really was perfect and I will recommend this property to all my friends and colleagues traveling to Athens.

Amazing property and location
An absolute gem! A spacious sanctuary in the heart of the city. Loved the two tavernas right next to the home for morning coffee and evening dessert/drinks. So much to do within walking distance. Host was so welcoming and communicative. We arrived early and they graciously allowed us to store our bags, offered recommendations of places to go and things to do. Our group of ten had ample space. Thanks for a fantastic end to our vacation.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in exzellenter Lage
Nur 5 Minuten von der U-Bahn-Station Monastiraki entfernt liegt das Haus mitten in der wunderbaren Altstadt von Athen unterhalb der Akropolis. Aufgrund der zentralen Lage lässt sich vieles zu Fuß besichtigen. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist exzellent. Es gibt unzählige Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Kommunikation mit Anna war sehr nett und prompt. Die Unterkunft ist für einen Besuch Athens unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Super House in the Centre of Athens
Lovely house with easy walking access to all the main sights in Athens. It had everything we needed and is like walking into history. Situated just under the Acropolis, we saw tourists talking pictures of the road outside and even the front door. Anna is incredibly helpful & friendly; she answered all queries & helped us a great deal. Anna also booked airport transfers which were easy, friendly & helpful. Cafe Melina next door provided good food and atmosphere. We enjoyed shopping for leather goods with Fortis (excellent service) at Kion Leather, Chatzichristou 10, Athina 117 42. It is just behind the Acropolis museum. The Acropolis is museum is stunning and the food (full restaurant) at the Acropolis museum is amazing with incredible views of the acropolis. Finally, The Little Tree Cafe & Bookstore is lovely for a calm atmosphere with good food & wine until 12midnight; it is at Kavalloti 2, Athens 117 42 - again behind the Acropolis Museum. Finally, this is Athens and the house is in a tourist area - it can be noisy with some singing at night at the weekend when we stayed. It was not a problem - we took earplugs just in case. Just go and join in the Greek singing. This is a special place and well worth a visit. We would definitely come back; this house is lovely, Athens is wonderful and Anna is incredaibly helpful. Perfect, just perfect!
Well-appointed and spacious home in a wonderful neighborhood. The attic room was everything! I was blown away by all that Athens had to offer (amazing food, the Acropolis Museum is unparalleled, interesting neighborhoods to explore and people to meet, I could go on and on) and Athenian House was so comfortable and relaxing, it really took our stay to the next level. After enjoying breakfast at Cafe Melina next door our first 2 days, they had our table reserved when we walked in for the rest of the week :-) Kinda sums it all up. Thank you Anna!

Perfect Location
My family - myself, husband, 2 kids 17 & 19 and a niece (20) and nephew (22) stayed at this Plaka property for 2 nights. Someone was there to meet us when we arrived. Very easy check-in process! Lots of info provided on the neighborhood and surrounding area. The home was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. However, can't say enough about the location. So convenient, with easy access to restaurants, historical sights and shopping.

Perfect stay in Athens
There aren’t enough positives to say about this villa. It’s location is ideal, I’m the heart of the Plaka neighborhood of Athens and on one of the most picturesque streets in the city. There are many restaurants and cafes right outside the door. The villa itself has all the modern creature comforts one would want while still maintaining its charming character.

Absolutely wonderful stay in Athens- perfect for our family!!!
We had a wonderful time. I have nothing to complain about! The house was clean, precise attention to details, and in a breathtaking spot in the Plaka. Our host helped us arrange ferry and airport transfers. You should stay here if you come to Athens!!! It was in such a great spot that our tour guide even picked us up from the villa. I was very impressed with the ease of check in. The top floor was amazing for my kids. They thought it was the coolest place we have ever stayed. Anna provided laundry detergent, coffee, and a bottle of wine! The balcony was picture perfect for morning coffee. Thank you so much!!!

Amazing location

All we hoped it would be and more!
We have a large family of 7 and this was all we hoped for and more. The location is walking distance to Acropolis, the forum, market and all the best dining. Anna graciously met us upon our arrival and was so welcoming after a long day of travel. She helped to arrange 3 transfers for us and made herself available to us any time we needed. The house was plenty big for our large family. Only downside was the noise at night from the neighborhood bars and restaurants. The noise lasted until about 3AM both nights we were there (Friday and Saturday). Even with the noise we wouldn’t have changed the house we stayed in. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The absolute best house in Plaka
Super friendly host, perfect property, clean and comfortable for a large family! We stayed a week and loved it. It's the best place to stay in Plaka, which is the best neighborhood in Athens. Close to everything! Note that the restaurants next door will blare music until 3 to 5 am most nights (except Sunday), so don't expect to get a lot of sleep...but who wants to sleep in Athens? We are so grateful to Anna for everything. She even brought us fresh milk on our first night!

We loved the property and especially the neighborhood of Plaka!!!
We had an authentic Greek experience staying in Plaka. The streets were beautiful, filled with restaurants and shops. Plenty to choose from. The night life was awesome but somehow not too loud where you couldn’t sleep. We loved the house, plenty of room for our family of six. Beautifully decorated and with all the amenities we needed. It was the perfect headquarters for our tours of Greece. And every night we’d come home, nap a little and go explore some more in Plaka. By the way, the house sits below a hill where you can see the Acropolis and Parthenon lit up at night. Awesome bonus!!

Great location and beautiful home
We were a family of 6 and this home was perfect for us. The 3 bathrooms was a bonus. It was very easy to get around and enjoy the beautiful city. If you stay here the music outside is very loud and goes on until late at night - you should bring earplugs.

The perfect location
We LOVED our stay in Plaka - Anna was a delightful host with lots of suggestions on where to go, what to do, where to eat. The house is perfect for a slightly larger group and has a sweet little veranda for 2 or 3 people and a larger patio for larger groups on the ground floor. Beds were comfy, House was neat and clean with all the amenities you would need. Excellent location with plenty of good restaurants and shopping nearby. Highly recommend!

The location and size of this home was perfect for our group of seven. The house was impeccable and located within walking distance to many great restaurants, shopping, and all the sites we wanted to see. Anna arranged transportation from our ship at the end of our cruise as well as to the airport at 3AM following our stay. I highly recommend these accommodations for your stay in Athens.

Fabulous!
We had the pleasure of staying at two of Anna’s properties—Athenian House and Athenian Niche—while in Athens (House for five days and Niche for just one) and both were fabulous! Great location as it was literal steps from everything and a great spot to explore the city. The homes themselves had everything we needed for a family of five (multigenerational) and both kitchens were well appointed with everything needed (Niche has the best kitchen if you plan on cooking). Loved the back patio for breakfast and spent every night out on the balcony of the Athenian House watching people go by and listening to music from a local taverna. Although we never met Anna in person, just someone on her staff, she was so incredibly helpful in arranging airport transport. I will definitely want to stay at either of the spots when we come back to Greece and would highly recommend.

Plaka near the Acropolis
This property is fantastic. The owner clearly has an eye for detail and customer experience. There is plenty of space and all of the appliances are in good order. The space is beautifully decorated in a historic part of town. You are able to walk to all of the sites from this location. There is some road noise in the front bedrooms due to the proximity to wonderful restaurants. The air conditioning worked well throughout the house. We had a wonderful stay Anna, thank you so much for sharing your space.

Great location, beautiful home
Anna was lovely to work with and has a beautiful home in a great location. She responded quickly to all my inquiries. We we’re running late and she was very accommodating to the change. She secured our transportation from the cruise ship, to a dinner the next day and transportation to the airport. The apartment sits right next to the plaka for plenty of shopping. Next door is several restaurants, with yummy food, for easy dining. We had a group of 9 adults with plenty of room for all. The home was very clean with more than adequate supplies for our two day stay. Besides the plaka you have easy walking distance to the Parthenon, tomb of the unknown soldier, Zeus temple and so much more. I would highly recommend.

Our trip to Athens was wonderful. We were able to stay right in the center and a beautiful town called plaka. This home was very spacious and modern. We love the air conditioning especially in the heat of the summer. The property manager met us and was kind to explain the local area as well. Downstairs there was a wonderful restaurant called Zorba’s and we ate there several times the food was delicious. The acropolis is also just behind us on a hill and it was wonderful to see it lit up at night. I couldn’t of picked a better place to stay in Athens for the three nights we spent here.. this home was very spacious and modern. We love the air conditioning especially in the heat of the summer. Maison très agréable et très fraîche en plein centre de Plaka, 3 belles chambres au 1er étage + 1 énorme espace au 2nd étage où nous avons fait dormir les 5 enfants, parfait pour 2-3 familles. (seul bémol éventuel : une des chambres double est directement reliée à l'espace enfants par un escalier sans sans qu'il y ait de porte pour fermer) Et Anna a été très disponible et d'excellent conseil pendant le séjour !

Just Where You Want To Be
Anna was responsive to all of my inquiries within a short time. The house is very quaint, clean, comfortable, and within a short walking distance of everything you could possibly want or need. She also arranged very early morning transportation to Piraeus for us to catch the ferry to Santorini. One couple in our group had lost luggage and Anna stepped up and made calls to the airlines on our behalf. When you visit a foreign country it’s always nice to have someone there to help with anything and everything....and that’s Anna.
