~The Meadow~ Tiny house short walk to Lake Athens

This cabin is a tiny house that sits 100+ ft. away from the main house with a privacy fence and oak trees in between. We call it the Meadow House. This stay features a very cozy private yard space with a fire pit, outdoor grill, and patio area. Inside you'll find a cabin atmosphere with exposed wood and modern amenities. There are 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, living room, and kitchen.

The Meadow house is our rustic charm cabin. Guests love the exposed wood and true cabin experience The Meadow provides. It's a lovingly maintained tiny house with a full 2 bedrooms and one full bath, living room and kitchen. The front outdoor deck looks out underneath the trees. This stay also boasts a private back yard area with a grill, fire pit, and seating.

This cabin is located on our 15 acres of wooded property with approx. 1 mile in walking trails in the woods on the property for exploring and observing wildlife. Our guests frequently notice our deer and other woodland creatures who share this space with us.

The tiny house is down the road from the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center and Lake Athens marina and The Boathouse Restaurant. Lake Athens Marina Boat ramp is just a mile down the road.

Guests are free to roam the property and trails and access all common areas. Be respectful of other guests quarters and private property.

Close to Canton, TX for First Monday Trade Days (20 miles). Tyler, TX is 40 minutes east. East Texas Arboretum is located in Athens, Athens Scuba Park that offers scuba-diving activities and classes.

Parking space is provided right up to the cabin. There is a map picture of the property where you can explore the trails.

The host is available in person or by phone, but intends to let you have your space to yourselves. Interaction level is up to you. Access is by a self check-in door code that unlocks the door.

The neighborhood homes are either lake houses on the lake or near the lake. Everyday you can see the deer that roam the neighborhood and in the woods.
For checkout guests need to clean all dishes before leaving. There will be an additional fees if the property is left excessively dirty, damaged or if there are missing items from the property. Dog fees are an additional flat fee of $40. Up to 2 dogs under 35lbs. are accepted. Larger dogs may be accepted too but please message me first. All dogs must be house trained. Absolutely no cats allowed. Check out is at 11am and typically the cleaners will be there at 11am. Checking out anytime after 11:30 there will be a $50 fee. Check out after 12:00 there will be a $100 fee.

This home is on a septic system, please don’t flush anything but toilet paper.

There are 2 blue trash cans near the road or front gate for your garbage.

There are additional fees after 4 people that stay in the property.
