Not impressed
A low quality four star hotel which is in a great need of touch ups. The pool and restaurant area is nice however completely crowded with people in the pool. This particular district in Athens is a complete joke unfortunately. Everything is broken and turned down. Almost impossible to walk the streets and a huge amount of homeless people and drug addiction on the streets. Make sure to take a taxi.

Bra service. Suverän pool. Litet men mkt fräscht rum. Fin dusch. Väldigt bra frukost. Hyggligt pris. Lite tråkig omgivning (undantaget utsikten från takterassen) men det gjorde inget när man väl lärt sig det fantastiskt suveräna tunnelbanesystemet. Rekommenderas.

Nice pool but not coming back.
We booked a room for 2 persons and end up first in one of their old non-renovated rooms which is fine. The cleaning was not fine at all. The toiletseat had small urine stains and there were small pieces of faeces floating in the toilet. My very-dust-allergic friend started sneezing and got itchy eyes. After a small looking-under furniture we found a big amount of dust. Without even packing up our bags we decided to check out. After a short convo in the lobby with very kind staff, we got a new room. Also a room with two beds (but renovated), we looked fast throw the room which seemed fined. We left our bags and went straight out for dinner. Late in the evening back at our hotel, we realized that the toilet once again wasnt clean. The lock of the toilet had stains and two pieces of hair (eyelashes? Pubes?) because it was late and we were tired, we didnt do much about it. In the morning we complained a second time and we showed pictures to the very kind staff in the lobby. He offedered us free drinks in their gorgous rooptop bar and cleaning of our room. We enjoyed the besutiful pool in the meanwhile. When back in our hotel, the bathroom smelled clean, but the same stains were still there. Because we already complained twice, we didnt wanted to go to the lobby again. At check-out i showed videos, staff called head of cleaning who took notes. Offered us drinks again, but we had a flight to catch. Would not come back here. All other reviews are very nice, guessing we had bad luck.

The Stanley was modern and chic. Staff was friendly, breakfast was AWESOME. Loved the view of the Acropolis. I highly recommend NOT choosing the city view, rather the Acropolis view for your hotel room. The city view overlooked a bunch of run down grafittied buildings. Close to museums, Acropolis, the Plaka, etc. We loved it there.

This is a good hotel - clean, quiet rooms and not far away from major attractions. Only downside is its location which is in a not great area - if it was in a good area it would cost a lot more - so decent value for money. Tube station right outside is best way to get into main tourist sites. Very quick, cheap and clean. Rooftop bar restaurant is really great - fantastic views, good staff and reasonable prices.

I enjoyed my stay at The Stanley. Excellent location near the train stop. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Room Service was very good. Excellent continental breakfast choices. Compares with 4 stars like Marriott, Hilton, etc.

The room was a decent size with a very comfy bed. Breakfast had a wide choice of everything you’d expect from a hotel buffet, though the cold options were slightly better quality than the hot food. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, and the cleaning was excellent. The roof top pool, bar and restaurant were all excellent with a great view of the acropolis. Our room also had an acropolis view from the balcony, but there were no chairs outside to sit on it. The area outside isn’t the greatest. It’s quite run down and while I didn’t feel unsafe during the day, I wouldn’t have wanted to walk too much at night. That said, the Metro station was right outside and incredibly cheap and easy to get into the city centre, plus there’s a cafe and newsagent type kiosks too. I’d happily stay there again, but just don’t expect too much from the neighbourhood.

The hotel was ok. The rooftop pool was nice. Our room wasn’t made up one day when we had asked for it to be. Didn’t receive VIP access as stated. Loved the subway station right there. Was told the area wasn’t great to be in at night by several different local Athenians.
