Come join us at Almost Phamily for a vacation you will always remember. This beautiful, fully renovated cottage is just waiting for your family to enjoy. With two bedrooms and a pull-out couch, there is plenty of room for your family to enjoy while visiting all that Atlantic Beach has to offer. With one bathroom located downstairs, when you come back from the beautiful, sandy beach, just jump in the shower to rinse off from the day and get ready for your night out on the town. Or bring your own boat and use the ramp at the end of the road. Enjoy your day fishing or just checking out the different islands and shells. Only two blocks away are the beach access, Dairy Queen, a night out at the Growler and other stores in walking distance. We would love to have you visit our home and become Almost Phamily.

Great place and location!

We had the best stay at this property. It was clean and updated. The two teenage girls weren't big fans of having to go up and down the stairs to get to the outside 2nd bathroom but that was our only complaint.Teresa,the property manager, was great and very responsive. We will stay here again for sure!!

Cozy space in a beautiful place.

I’m here for a work function for 6 months. This house was ideally located in a great quiet neighborhood steps away from the beach and within close proximity to great restaurants. My wife and I tried it out and liked it so much we re-booked for another 5 months. The property manager was easy to deal with and the owner was very proactive for minor requests we had. We would stay again should we ever come back for a vacation.

Atlantic Beach

We rented this over July 4th and the public access beach area was shared with the Doubletree Hotel right by it. This made for a very crowded Shibumi filled beach. The house was nice and partially renovated… would have enjoyed an updated shower with better water pressure but can’t have everything, I suppose. They did only provide 2 towels at first but the property manager was quick to respond and got more brought over promptly.

Nice Property

Property was clean and check in process was very easy. Property management came by mid week to check in which was a nice touch. My only recommendation would be to stock kitchen with better cooking utensils like sturdy spatula.

We met our family in NC to spend the week together. NC is the halfway point between us. The cottage was clean & ready for us. The location is so convenient. We loved Ft. Macon state park & beach. Had an amazing jet ski tour with AB Water, the boys tried out fishing; overall a nice & relaxing time. I’d rebook again. The downstairs full bath is highly convenient for 6 people, only can use some ventilation. Thanks again!

Beach Trip

A lovely, refurbished cottage. Great location in a quiet neighborhood. We had a great time! A few finishing touches are needed though. The master bed was very uncomfortable. Couches need to be replaced. Need some hooks in the bathroom for hand towels etc. Was surprised there was no hairdryer supplied. Kitchen was supplied minimally. For a $400 host fee, I would have expected some nice added extras. But it seemed to be under supplied instead. We enjoyed the balcony! A lovely sun trap! Outdoor side table needed. Umbrella would have been nice also. Overall a sweet cottage with lots of potential. Thank you very much for having us! :)

Great beach getaway!

Almost Phamily was an awesome stay for my little family! The home was decorated beautifully....very cozy and relaxing! A short walk to the beach, restaurants, and a few small stores. We did not end up using the downstairs bathroom at all....was not really convenient. The deck was beautiful. The living room furniture was a bit uncomfortable. The kitchen was absolutely beautiful and the home was well stocked with all the essentials.

Family Weekend

We shared the home with our son and his wife (both over 50) and us (both over 66) - lovely and perfect for us. Were worried the one bathroom in the house might be an issue, but the younger two showered in the shower in the garage which was very nice for them. Enjoyed our brief time there and would rent there again. My only suggestion is to remove the hallway rug. It's rolled at the ends and could be a danger for tripping.

AMAZING Family Funtime!!!

Family from across the country reunited for a Fabulous Fourth beach trip. The cottage was awesome and truly comfortable for all of us (7 adults and 2 toddlers). The outdoor shower was a definite plus as was the extra full bath downstairs. Too many pleasantries to list here !

Wonderful cozy getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Almost Phamily! Our family of 6 (4 kids ages 1-15) loved the bright, clean, cozy space - so many thoughtful touches for families and individuals. The downstairs bath and outdoor shower were so handy, a great porch for relaxing and yard for playing. The best for us was proximity to everything - a 5 minute walk to the public access, 5 minute drive to ice cream, seafood restaurant and kite/toy store. Plus super comfortable beds, kitchen supplies and even a washer/dryer. Everything we needed, with wonderfully helpful and responsive rental contacts. Highly recommended!!

Great family time at the beach

House was great! Thank you. Check-in process was more complicated than other VRBO properties I've stayed at. There is mandatory insurance coverage and even an application to complete. Almost didn't rent because of all of this. The one bathroom shared between bedrooms is fine for younger couples. But, if you are travelling with elderly or kids - it could be an issue. House was very clean when we came in. Kitchen was nice and the den was large enough. Decks out front were great for relaxing and watching the sun set. Overall, a nice property and close to everything on the Atlantic Beach end of the island.

Happy with the Phamily

The home lived up to our expectations, but the downstairs bathroom was not convenient, unless one couldn’t wait. The kids enjoyed the outdoor shower! Beautifully decorated and clean. Need more hooks for things in bedrooms. I wanted to go across the street and offer to help the owners of that place clean up. Unfortunately an eye sore. The walk to the beach was easy. Unfortunately the building that sits there empty is in sad shape, I wish someone would buy and fix up to sell beverages, fries, etc. & restrooms.
