Hotel Review for Best Western Atlantic City
I recently stayed at the Best Western in Atlantic City for a convention from Wednesday to Sunday, paying around $650, and it was a truly disappointing experience.
Upon entering my room, I was met with rusted fixtures, outdated decor, and stained linens that made me question the cleanliness of the place. The overall condition of the hotel was unsettling; the grounds felt sketchy, and there were strong odors of drugs lingering in the air. To make matters worse, there was heavy prostitution around the area, which left me feeling unsafe and uncomfortable throughout my stay.
When I got back to the hotel, I tried to use my key, but it didn’t work. I went down to the front desk four times, and after several attempts, the attendant finally came up to check it out. He ended up getting physical keys and still struggled to help me access my room, which took quite a bit of time. Once I finally got in, I discovered that the door couldn’t be secured properly. This left me feeling incredibly vulnerable, and as a result, I couldn’t sleep at all that night. The next morning, I decided to check out and find alternative accommodations.
When I expressed my concerns to the manager during check-out, she simply told me to contact Expedia for a refund. I called Expedia multiple times, only to be told they needed to reach out to the hotel and couldn't get in touch with the manager.
