Northwinds Adventures - Brand New Rustic Walleye Cabin

Sitter på egendom av Northwinds Adventures, ett år runt läger, är denna helt nya "Walleye" stuga tillgänglig nu.  Inuti har den 2 sovrum; ett med en drottning säng (sängkläder tillhandahålls) och en annan med en topp dubbla våningssäng och full futon botten (lakan på begäran för en $ 10 avgift).  För ytterligare sovplats finns en bäddsoffa i vardagsrummet (lakan på begäran för en avgift på 10 $) eller plats för en barnsäng. White Oak trägolv i hela stugan, badrummet är kaklat med en standup dusch. En vedeldad spis är tillgänglig för att koppla av i de svalare årstiderna, ved tillhandahålls för $ 5 / bunt.  Köket är fullt med allt du behöver för att förbereda en god måltid efter en dag utomhus.

Kabinen är undangömd i en lund av aspens ca 100 meter från vår egen privata Love Lake.  Det finns ett däck för lounging och en eldgrop i gården.  Det finns också en kolgrill; Men kolet är inte försett.

Ta gärna spåren runt våra 220 hektar, paddla kanot eller kajak i vår sjö eller spendera tid på vår privata strand.  

Love Lake är en 10 hektar stor, vårfodrad privat sjö och det finns gott om möjligheter att fiska från stranden.  För att skydda vår befolkning av inhemska öring och walleyes ber vi att du bara använder barbless, konstgjorda lures och försiktigt släpper ut alla flänsade vänner tillbaka till sjön för att kämpa en annan dag!

Observera att vi i juni, juli och augusti är värd Camp Luthers "Keweenaw Base Camp" -program och ibland är våra vattnet / strandområdet reserverat för deras användning.  Vi kommer att ha skyltar och informera dig om strandplanen vid din ankomst.  Keweenaw Base Camp grupper anländer söndag kväll och avgår fredag ​​morgon så stranden är tillgänglig de flesta helger.  Under veckan brukar de ofta ägna sig åt tid så att stranden kommer att vara öppen ibland även under veckan.

Om du kommer till ATV eller snöskoter, ber vi att du inte kör maskiner på fastigheten.  Du kan dock rida dem direkt från fastigheten till spåret, en kort juridisk tur på vägarna till Bill Nichols spåret som ligger ca 3 miles away. * På grund av 2019 är Flood Bill Nicholas Trail stängd och det är en 5 mils rutt till spår 3.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Only a short drive from Houghton, the cabin was a great location to call home for a few days. There are kayaks available to rent for an additional fee. I would highly recommend.

Winter Wonderland

We visited our son for Winter Carnival and found this gem of a cabin. The owners are very kind and accommodating for everything we asked for. The fireplace and furniture were so cozy! Highly recommend any of their cabins!!!

Another lovely vacation

This was our third stay in the cabins in Atlantic Mine. They have truly become our home-away-from-home for our visits to our son, a student at Michigan Tech. The cabins a very clean and comfortable.

Fun private property

What a great place this is! So much to do on the property alone. We were not expecting that. Our teens loved fishing and swimming in the lake. We were able to cookout. And everyone slept comfortably in the cabin. Everything was very clean. The communication with the owner was excellent. We would definitely stay here again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

May fishing trip

Nice cabin for 4 guys on a spring fishing trip. Bunk beds are a little small. Kitchen/ living room is spacious and comfortable. Quiet wooded location. Would definitely stay here on a return trip.

Lovely cabin stay

My husband and I found this cabin near Houghton so we could spend a weekend with our son, who is a student at Michigan Tech. The cabin was spacious, with attractive, sturdy furniture and cabinetry. We had plenty of space to spread out, and the scenery was just gorgeous.

Hidden Gem

Northwinds Adventures is amazing. We stayed (family of 5, 3 kids ages 13, 11, and 8) in the Walleye cabin. There was plenty of room, the kitchen had all the dishes, pans, and utensils you need. Bathroom was adequate and small bedrooms we didn't spend much time inside. Firepit was nice and spaced privately from other cabins. There is firewood at each cabin for a reasonable price and it is dry, hardwood firewood. The lake is excellent with 2 platforms to jump off of. The cost to use the nice paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes ($15/person for the stay) is a steal! The equipment available is great. We caught a couple walleye and a perch on the lake too. Paying for the watersports equipment and firewood is easy, just venmo the owner at the end of your stay. The location is nice if you want to be just out of town and we strongly recommend heading to breakers for a sunset fire on the black sand beach. Highly recommend Northwinds Adventure as a base camp for your Keweenaw trip.

Peace and Quiet

This was our third time visiting the walleye cabin and per usual, it did not disappoint. We always felt right at home. This place is a gem. Even though my cell phone had poor reception (which I am usually happy about), the wifi was strong enough to facilitate calls without hitch. We also appreciate the gifted maple syrup from the hosts. We are planning on returning again!

All around great experience

The location, cabin and environment were very peaceful. The property managers were prompt responding to any questions and were helpful. The cabin was clean and set up nicely. My boys had a blast in the lake kayaking and fishing (they were catching nice walleye). Couldn't recommend enough.

What a wonderful find! I planned a spur of the moment trip to visit my daughter at Michigan Tech. Five of us stayed very comfortably in the CLEAN cabin. We cooked and ate all of our meals there and had everything we needed—pots, pans, appliances, dishes. The weather was beautiful and we were able to open all of the windows to enjoy the fresh air. The fire pit is a nice size and located very close to the cabin, and firewood chopped and ready for a reasonable price. The host was quick at responding and was very attentive. We look forward to coming back after the lake is melted so we can enjoy some of the fun there. I love the serenity that this property has to offer. We will be back!

Just what we hoped for & more

We were visiting our MTU son & wanted a place to relax after outdoor adventures. The walleye cabin was a perfect place for our family of 4 to relax by the fire, work & do homework (good WI-FI), cook, and play games. The cabin was clean, well organized, & the beds & furniture were comfortable. And the view out to the aspens is beautiful. Michelle was easy to work with & accommodating when we needed to alter our plans. We would recommend this cabin & hope to be back one day.

Great experience

The cabin has a cozy feel without being cramped. We loved the wood fireplace, and our MTU son was able to stay with us one night. We even hosted another small MTU family for lunch before heading to do some hiking! Great location close to the college with the amenities of home!

Perfect property!

We were pleasantly surprised by this property. Its somewhat secluded and very neat and clean. The best part was being able to sit on the deck or in front of the fire pit and have peace and quiet. I highly recommend this property! Its about a 16 minute drive to Michigan Tech, good distance without being too far.
