Reel Inn 'Lodge' på Au Train River, nära Lake Superior

Reel Inn, i Au Train Michigan är bara en kort 10 minuters bilresa från Munising. Våra fastigheter består av 2 moderna timmerstugor, en är en lodge och den andra en stuga, som båda hyrs individuellt. Vår Lodge ligger precis vid stranden av den berömda Au Train River, känd för att vara en av de bästa destinationerna för paddling och kajakpaddling i övre Michigan. Lodge har 7 full size sängar samt 3 log full size futon stil soffa / sängar och en barn säng.

Lodgen har ett fullt utrustat kök (grundläggande kryddor), 1 1/2 bad och 2 extra full storlek fåfänglighet i sovande områden. Grottan är ett separat familjerum med egen plattskärms-TV, med spelingångar, extra kylskåp och tvättmaskin / torktumlare. Grottan är utrustad med många brädspel och hundratals DVD-skivor. Din hyra har en tvättmaskin / torktumlare och inkluderar allt lakan och handdukar. Lodgeen är utrustad med 2 digitala kabel-TV, trådlöst höghastighetsinternet (6 MB / s) och dvd-spelare. Glatt att skicka vår nyfiken virtuella turné via e-post på begäran.

På plats har vi en gratis kanot, paddla båt och flera cyklar inklusive vuxen, ungdom och tandem. Vi har också kajakuthyrning på plats, 2-10 ft, 3-12 ft och 1-14ft tandem. De är $ 75 per enhet för vistelsens längd (betalas på plats om du önskar) om du förskottsbetalar dem i förväg med din bokning är de endast $ 50 per enhet under hela vistelsens längd. bokningar är inte nödvändiga men rekommenderas som vi hyr ut till allmänheten också.

We had an absolutely great time staying at the lodge. Room for two families - three adults, four kids. My parents stayed next door in the cabin. Location is on an off branch of the main river. 1 minute car ride, 5 minute bike ride, 30 minute canoe ride to beach. Beach is spectacular! Kids LOVED swimming in the lake and river. Property and interior were spotless. House has everything you need. Communication and check in was easy. Rental includes grill, bikes, and canoe. Kayaks were available to rent. Small grocery store, ice cream, and pasties in town 1/4 mile away. Munising 15 minute drive. Au Train falls 15 minute ride (highly recommend). Can’t say enough good things. Our group ages 8-73 all loved it!!

Reel Inn Lodge

This property is beautiful inside and out with wood trim finishing every inch. We took a large group here snowmobiling. Our group was led to believe by the listing that the Reel Inn Cabin, located about 15 feet from the Lodge, was included for the price. “The Reel Inn” sign is on the Cabin, not the Lodge, which made us think in person that both buildings were included in the listing. We were charged for using the second cabin, which was unlocked upon arrival and faces the same parking area for the Lodge. This would be understandable if the listing had explicitly said that the Cabin was not included. The shower in the Lodge leaks water if you don’t have the sliding shower doors just right, which the owner is aware of, and is posted by a sticker that can be easily read. We were not the first ones to have this issue based on the water marks in the wood ceiling board directly above the cooktop and kitchen sink. The shower should not leak regardless of the door positions. I believe the listing pictures also exaggerate the size of the kitchen/living room in the Lodge. Our group expected to see some common toiletries provided in the Lodge for the price. Only towels were provided, which were all very clean. This property is not trailer friendly, with having to back all the way down the street to turn around a trailer of any size. I am confident this would be a very nice property and accurately priced for the summer months where trailers aren’t necessary. Thank you

Wow! Amazing!

We have had trips up and down the Au Train River in the past and we wanted to get everyone together to do it again! This property is PERFECT! The location was everything! You are right on the river, close to the beach and Lake Superior, close to a grocery store/gad station, and close to a pizza place! Also not far from Munising, and Marquette! There are kayaks on site for rent, and the cost for those is well worth it, and they are in great shape! It was so worth being able to get on and off of the river at the Lodge! Inside the lodge is amazing too! Great space for lots of people but still big enough that everyone has their own space! The outdoor space is amazing as well! The cabin has everything you need! We can’t wait to rent this place again!

Great Escape!

The Reel Inn is a cozy lodge with everything you need to enjoy some time away from busy life! The cabin is tidy, well-stocked and has great wireless internet (very important because otherwise we had no cell service) The AuTrain lake allows for fishing and boating, the fire pit is begging to make s’mores and the bikes are great for cruising and exploring. This location is great for exploring the UP and all its natural wonders.

This is a very well appointed and cared for property. The location is perfect for activities in any direction and it is particularly great for families needing a quality place to stay. The hosts, Matt and Holly, were great to work with and only a phone call away. A very clean and comfortable lodge with all amenities. Stay here - you won’t be disappointed!

Quiet Cabin on a Peaceful Property

This place was great. We’re a family of 5 and it had everything we needed. Lots of beds and they were comfortable. The area was quiet and the view from the back was beautiful. Lake Superior is so close and had gorgeous sunsets. It was really nice we were able to bring our dog. Only negative was that the well water was hard for some of us city water drinkers to drink but not a big deal. It was a great getaway.

Beautiful all wood cabin -lodge. Good beds and well furnished Warm and clean. But it's not an isolated cabin in the woods. It's on the river next to several other places . Would recommend it and would use it again if in the area.

Super cozy

Everything was made easy start to finish. Matt and Holly were absolutely fantastic hosts. Someone in our party left an item behind and they were easily reachable for us to make arrangements to pick it up on the way back out of town. They were very communicative before our check in and were easy to contact. They really have made it a destination with the look of the cabin, the super comfy beds and pillows; generous amounts of bath and kitchen towels; kitchen equipped enough to cook, 2 refrigerators, extra bed linens, industrial coffee maker, outdoor seating, fire pit and a multitude of options if its a rainy day. Games, dvds, 2 huge TVs. The location was absolutely amazing! Even though we had a family next door we were able to have an intimate bonfire without feeling encroached upon. The Reel inn is definitely smaller than the wide angle photos on the Vrbo page but that didn't take away from our party of 4. Holly and Matt have definitely taken the time to make sure this property is cared for. The only bummer, which we worked around because the kitchen was stocked with pans, was that the grill wouldnt stay lit. Over all, wonderfully comfy and cozy experience. So close to EVERYTHING while feeling secluded, even eith neighbors close by. Recommend.

Great Place! Great Location! Great Host

Our annual birthday bash with our 3 daughters, son-n-laws, and 7 grandchildren has become a destination event. Over the past decade we have converged the Rockies, the Smokies, Popular Lakes, and Beaches. I feel like we can rate places with some well-rounded experience. The Reel Inn was not disappointing in the slightest! We arrived Friday late, Chilled at the lodge on Saturday and took in a canoe, kayak, paddle boat trip up to Lake Superior and back. Sunday we drove the scenic, 2-hour drive over to Mackinac Island. I recommend The Reel Inn for Families, Fishing Trips with friends, or a simple kickback week/weekend. We plan to come back to experience a winter stay as well. Matt was very responsive and timely. Great Place! Great Location! Great Host!

Vacation in Au Train

The Reel Inn Lodge was a tranquil place to get away and enjoy peace and quite. We enjoyed the River and the location was in good vicinity of Munising and Marquette. Overall, the lodging met our needs as a family and we would entertain coming back as we were only able to scratch the surface of the UP.

Cozy place with a lovely view

We had a great time at property with our friends, a clean place, the bedroom space was great. Some fun things to do on the property like biking and canoeing. Would recommend having a bug screen on the patio door.
