    Please be advised that the mailbox is strictly for the owner's access only. Kindly make alternative arrangements for receiving your mail.

    **If there's any extra trash that doesn’t fit in the bins (which can sometimes happen after gatherings), it may need to be removed separately, and there could be an additional charge. To help avoid any extra fees, we kindly ask that all trash fits securely inside the provided bins.**

    Please ensure that all waste is disposed of in the correct bins. Placing trash in recycling or compost containers will result in a fine to cover the cost of a haul-off.

    **Up to 4 vehicles can be parked directly in front of the house. If you have more than 4 vehicles, please ensure additional cars are parked elsewhere without blocking any neighbor’s driveway. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the area accessible and respectful for everyone.

Family Event

We came in from out of town for a family event. This home was clean and welcoming. Host was very attentive. We do recommend staying here.

The check out instructions were followed, but just so you are aware they are different than the ones in the binder in the house. Also, the mini split in the back room does not work and the gate does not latch so when it is windy it opens and closes which causes a banging noise in the house. Other than those two things the house was very nice and roomy.

The house was capacious, with an attractive room layout, comfortable for the all of us (four kids, 7 adults), allowing both for places to congregate as a family and also for privacy. The beds were very comfortable; the heating system worked rapidly and well. The children loved the play spaces - the pool table, the arcade machines - and the adults were happy with the roomy kitchen and the dining room, ample for all of us. The neighborhood was pleasant, with a small playground nearby, next to a horse/pony paddock. Grocery store was a short drive. Should the need arise to return to Austin for another family gathering (this was a wedding), we would definitely consider staying there again. Some minor issues that could be easily addressed: more tea towels (we found only one), more wash clothes, more cutlery, a water pitcher, a larger coffee maker other than a Keurig (the drip filter was a 1-cupper, not sizable enough for a house this big, and there was no kettle to heat water in for coffee or tea), tissue boxes, hand lotion, more scrub cloths for the dishes. These are inexpensive, trivial in themselves, but would make a big difference in the comfort of renters. One last recommended improvement: quicker and clearer communication about the payment and check-in process. Payment was to a company not in the VRBO listing, which made us nervous. The week we were to check in on Friday we were first told that we would receive the info on Tuesday but there was nothing until Friday.

Not impressed

The house had several issues that should have been fixed prior to our arrival. The bathtub drain was clogged and full of dirty water. The dishwasher was also full of dirty water and we couldn't get it to drain. The outside trash cans were full of trash. We couldn't access the wi-fi on our phones or computers (the information on the router was incorrect). Communication with owner was slow - not sure if he received my messages.

The host was quick to respond to all questions. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. The amenities were good, the shampoos and soap good. However, the starter toilet paper is a no go. The master bathroom only had half the roll left. Had to buy and leave toilet paper for the next guest. No coffee pods or sugar. It is as clean, had enough towels for our family 7. We would rent this house again.
