Cozy Hill Country Home

This beautiful home is situated on 2 acres landscaped with mature oak trees, a spacious backyard and a fantastic covered porch. Perfect to enjoy a cocktail and our spectacular hill country sunsets. Located just minutes from the heart of Driftwood, a 20 minute drive to downtown Austin and within driving distance of Dripping Springs, Blanco, Fredericksburg and Wimberley.

Known as the Napa Valley of Central Texas this area is surrounded by hundreds of wineries, breweries, and distilleries some of which have won national awards and have made dozens of Top 10 lists, including Dripping Springs Vodka and Salt Lick Cellars. Our selection of unique eating venues, including the famous Salt Lick BBQ just three miles down the road, add to the charm and appeal of this quaint and rustic area.

Getting married? Welcome to the wedding capitol of Central Texas. With some of the most luxurious, unique and unusual wedding venues within a short drive from us you can plan the wedding of your dreams, be it Farmhouse Chic, Boho Boutique or Black Tie. If you are looking for something just down the way, we recommend Pecan Grove and Thurman's Mansion, they are sure to create your ideal event.

In the center of this hill country home is a large open style kitchen with ample seating and expansive countertops making it the perfect central gathering spot to create delicious meals and connect with loved ones. With 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms this home has more than enough room to spread out with a large family yet cozy enough for small wedding groups. The living room just being off the kitchen keeps everyone close at hand with access to watch the game or enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace.

Short stay

The house was prefect, it was equipped with everything that we needed. The house had plenty of room and bedrooms were big. Very clean. Property was amazing and Megan was very helpful and would reply within minutes. Over all had a great stay and would definitely stay again. Awesome house and property

Great location

We had a great stay and Megan was very communicative. Location was perfect for our girls trip. Close to shopping, breweries, etc. my only recommendation is that you might include toiletry products and a hair dryer. Would stay again!

Great location for our family visit

This house was blocks from our family we were visiting so the location was great. Check in and out were well defined and easy. House was very well stocked, especially the kitchen and we were even allowed to use the garage, complete with remote. Was an enjoyable stay.

Great spot to gather...

Our family stayed here together for a wedding to be close to the venue. It was a great place to gather as a family in the midst of wedding activities. The owners are great to work with; it had everything we needed to feel like we had a home away from home.

Great location and Excellent Accommodations.

My wife and I are retired and like to get away for relaxing new experiences. We were both close to shopping in Marble falls and Stonewall. Several walking trails are close by: Perdernales Falls State park and Milton Reimers Ranch Couty Park for instance. We like to watch videos together without demands of home chores. The entertainment system and complete, well maintained, no-nonsense accommodations made for a very satisfactory visit.

Wellness for the soul

We as family spent in Megan’s house about a month. It’s simply fantastic place for vacation and has enough space for work – home office with quick internet connections. The house is located in nice big yard with lot of trees and singing birds. You can enjoy peaceful atmosphere inside and outside the house. Moreover, it has fully equipped kitchen, so we enjoyed also atmosphere of our own house through cooking fantastic meals. It is located in rural area but very close to Austin downtown or Austin airport. Furthermore, Megan is fantastic host. Always at your disposal. Thank you Megan.

Nice House and Owners!

Great and convenient (to me) house to put up family for the weekend. The house has been updated and looked nice. It is super close to the nearby convenient store although the host provided coffeed. We did have a snafu while there and the owner, Megan, was super quick to respond. Would recommend if you need a place in the area! Keri

Home Away From Home

The Cozy Hill Country Home provided an excellent base from which to launch our many adventures in the Austin area. While in Austin for a wedding we found amenities close by and lots of opportunities to explore. We enjoyed the Texas cuisine and the many other attractions including the LBJ Library and the Capital building. The home was well equipped, clean and spacious. Megan was very quick to respond to our minor queries. Great value for money!

Lovely house!

We used this house to get ready in for our wedding at Stonehouse Villa (just 7 min away). It was a great location with a great front and backyard. We had plenty of room for our group size.

Wonderful location, Great Hostess

We were in the area for a wedding in Driftwood and made a wine tour visit out of our stay. The location is right down the road from the Salt Lick, their winery and Duchman Winery. Also Fall Creek winery is across the road from the Salt Lick. Dripping Springs and Wimberley are a very short drive with wineries in both towns. There could not have been a better central location for our visit. The house is immaculate. The owner is on top of everything to do with this home. Also very good internet and lots of games if you are bringing children. We will definitely stay at this location again. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Beautiful Driftwood home, quiet and comfortable

This was the perfect setup for 3 couples. Very nice, clean, comfortable home with an amazingly responsive host. Beautiful spacious front and backyards with nice trees, starry nights. Megan was super friendly and quick to respond from the time I made the reservation, and then leading up to the trip, and continuing throughout the stay. We had a couple questions and she was quick to answer and helpful.

We had a few issues at the house but Megan dealt with them as quickly as possible. The house could use some updates but has a good layout. Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We did appreciate having the garage. Megan was a pleasure to deal with and should do well in the future with folks visiting family in all the new homes being built in the area.

Excellent place to stay

We stayed Jan 3 - Feb 28. The house was exceptionally quiet. The kitchen was very well equipped. The queen bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. Cable TV was excellent. We really liked the location because it provided easy access to Belterra where our grandchildren live as well as easy access to the center of Austin. Access to grocery stores was convenient.

Spacious, private property

We had a wonderful stay at this property and really enjoyed the large front and back yard and pretty hill country views! The house is well stocked with everything you might need and has a functional layout for a family or medium group. Megan is an attentive and responsive host and went out of her way several times to make sure we had a good experience. Highly recommend for a short visit or long term rental!

What a great place to stay! The home was beautiful, the beds incredibly comfortable, and a huge yard. This is the best stocked VRBO or competetor's property I have ever rented. Located just a little over an hour away from Fredrickburg. I would 100% recommend this property and the owner.
