Water damage on the ceiling and appliances are rusty. But the bed, kitchen, and bathroom were clean! AC worked perfectly, the bed and pillows are comfy I knocked out every time i went to bed. Room keys stopped working the second day - had to call front desk to give us new ones. Overall a great stay, the pictures match the expectation. Reachable to the main town!

The property never responded to my inquiry when I tried to cancel the booking. The ferry to the island had been cancelled due to the bad weather condition and we were not able to get to the island. I tried calling and messaging the property as that was the only method to reach them, however, no one picked up after almost calling them 10 times and leaving a message to the hotel via Expedia.

I have never had an experience this bad or scary staying at a hotel. We had a weird experience with the maintenance man. When we checked in we didn’t touch the kitchen as we had no need to we were going to grab dinner at a restaurant. We were in the room for up to two hours after we check in and would have noticed a smell but didn’t. After we got back from dinner, the stove had been turned on and our room reeked of gas. I called the front desk and calmly stated my concern and asked if we could find a solution. The man I spoke with immediately threatened to call the cops on us because he didn’t want to “go back and forth”. It made me feel like they were trying to hide something by scaring us. My partner and I felt extremely unsafe and would not recommend listing this on Expedia as something seriously wrong is going on at that hotel. The man and woman working front desk were hostile and rude and would not have a conversation with us over the issue.

The walk up might be a bit of a shock for some, But its really not that bad. Its actually centered inbetween all the stuff you would need and/or want to do In an overnight stay in Avalon. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfy and the staff was great!

I stayed for the weekend for a wedding. The room was clean. Close walk to the casino. Staff was nice. Good enough for a one night stay or weekend stay. There is a bit of an incline on the hill. Not great for wedding attire. Good area for hiking.

Quiet, Clean, good views, vending machines were not working and water is not potable so we couldn’t make coffee unless we used bottled water. Other than that it was just perfect. Price was right, shower was great. Clean facility. Beds were fine, slept great. Clean linens. Just remember to bring your own drinking water.

We had a nice time at this property and the staff was very friendly! They let us check in almost 4 hours early which was super great! Considering how old everything was, it seemed well kept and clean. Some dust behind the fridge, but that didn’t affect anything. Full kitchen and all the essentials there! Was really like a cute little beach studio! I would recommend !

The property was very clean and the room. Looks like they are upgrading things little by little. For an older building it’s was really nice and clean. Had a refrigerator and microwave in the room that was nice to have. I would stay here again

I was very concerned after reading few off the reviews, but it was nothing like that, we had a great time, our room was awesome, we thought it was going to be noisy since the window faced the street, but not at all. Highly recommend If you don’t mind a little hill I wouldn’t say a steep hill!

Construction and repairs really early.
To get to the hotel, it takes a bit of effort since it’s towards the top of the mountain so it’s good if you like hiking but if you’re not active, you should rent a golf cart. Our stay was good until the last night. They started to do construction on what felt like the room next to us at 6:00am with pounding and lots of noise that not only woke us up but we couldn’t go back to sleep after.

Traveled alone for work. Location is great. The whole island is peaceful and the hotel was no different. The room was spacious and a nice kitchen if I were staying longer. Coffee (k-cup) machine provided with the k cups. The bathroom is perfect size and great water pressure and temperature. All spaces are very clean. You could smell how clean. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for clean was because if you have an aversion to strong cleaning smells, I want to make sure you see this. The smell of the cleaning products was very overwhelming. Personally, I like it, it’s a sign of clean and care. But I know others may not.

Clean and Tidy; Quiet Location
The mini-suite we were in was oler but was very clean. It was apperant that the maintenance and amenities were carefully looked after. This is in a quieter area of Avalon than by the restaurants and bars. Short walk to the business area. One suggestion: please install room-darkening curtains at the windows.

The Property was quiet.. Did not hear kids running about. Comfortable bed, good sized room. Would have liked to have been closer to our friends room. Fridge and stove need to be replaced, broken table. Requested creamer a few times, never got any... Had to walk to Vons to purchase some.
