Seriously a great view
Definitely a great view! Your able to ride around town with the cart that comes with it. No Netflix, no good channels to do a movie night in December. Needs a deep clean. We found a mask under the bed and spider cobs around the home. Love how they have extra blankets everywhere. Will still come back :)

Our stay
We really enjoyed our stay. Id say the only issue we had wqs how the shower curtins in both bathrooms would not reach the tub. Therefore every shower consisted of tons of water being sprayed all over the toilet and the floor. Made for a mess daily. The write ahould also include how many steps it takes to get to the unit. I imagine a heart patient would have serious trouble climbing so many steps.

We have always enjoyed staying at Hailton cove, thank you for making our stay comfortable for our family. We want to mention the golf cart has some loose wires. We were stranded for a couple of hours in town with Chela, waiting for the mechanic, luckily my husband was able to figure it out but we still lost 2-hrs of adventure time so we wanted you to know.

80th Birthday on Catalina
I took my parents to Catalina for my father's 80th birthday. I decided to stay in Hamilton Cove because of the amenities; golf cart, 18 hole putting course, private cove. We had a great trip despite getting off to a rough start. I was filling out paperwork the day of our trip as I had not received it prior. I knew that the condos in Hamilton Cove had stairs but over 50 steps to get to our unit was a little much. We couldn't get into the unit because they use some weird lock there where you have to turn it one way then the other and hold it. There isn't cell reception in the cove so had to head up the hill to call and get the trick for the lock. The gate guard didn't have our information, so we had to wait until we were able to get ahold of our agent and get that all straightened out. But after all that was done, we really had a magical time. Catalina is a special place and Hamilton Cove is a very beautiful and quiet place to stay.

Good location
The place was great the views were beautiful great to be across from pool but we had a very difficult time opening the front door. We started to leave it slightly open. It took us 6 min to get in we started to get nervous because it was 8pm. Please do something about the lock at front door

Condo with an amazing view
This condo was clean and cozy. My wife really liked the decor and lay out of the condo. We also had a great view of the ocean. The golf cart that was provided was much needed to get to downtown and overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The only issue we had was with the front door and getting it open but we immediately contacted Chela and she helped us figure it out.

Great Place to stay
This is the third stay at Hamilton Cove for our family. This condo was perfect for four adults. Comfy beds, clean and absolutely beautiful views as are all at Hamilton Cove. There are quite a few steps to the condo, so you will get a little workout, but hey, you have your own golf cart so you save a lot of steps walking around town to get up the stairs :) Check in was great and they always take good care of us.

Great home with an amazing view
Only reason it’s 4 stars is, there was tons of coffee filters but no coffee. There were a few things broken in the home and on the golf cart. Also sauna wasn’t working In the community gym. Home was clean and plenty of towels. But all and all it’s what I thought it would be. Manager was helpful and responded quickly. **Be sure to read every detail on the community rules. **

Hamilton Cove is nice. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize the unit didn’t have A/C or Heat. Also, cell phone coverage is very limited and the internet doesn’t work. There wasn’t a washer/dryer. There was a huge crack in the counter top and several broken pictures.

Multiple things were broken, needed fixing, and even didn’t work
We did have an ongoing ant problem and multiple things needed attention. The location in proximity to the clubhouse was good. Property manager did respond in the beginning to fix a thing or two. Overall cleanliness was very much lacking

The host made all of the check in issues right!
The property was not ready on time, but the host made it right. We had 6 (4 adults, 2 children), which seemed a stretch. 5 beach towels, 1 pillowcase for pull out double bed… little stuff. Awesome views in a great complex! Golf cart a huge plus. The space has a few areas in disrepair- needs a thorough cleaning/ painting to be as nice as we were hoping!

Location was great. Over all a great stay, however things were broken in the unit. Mirror had a huge crack, the counter had a huge crack and the binoculars were broken. The master bathroom towels holder was broken With the shower curtain as well. We visit. Went we tried to rent things to use the area no one could help us located a place to pick up rental equipment. We visit Catalina every July and will not be renting this unit in the future. It’s important to have kitchen items as everything was miss matched and not enough for a party of 6 :(

Fabulous Catalina Villa!
We loved our stay at this lovely 2 bedroom villa! It did take 49 steps to get there but manageable. The view of the ocean was breathtaking from the balcony & living room! The unit was very clean and comfortable. The gas golf cart for six was an added plus for exploring the island. My only suggestions would be to get some wine glasses as there was only one. Patio table was very wobbly & needs to be fixed. Otherwise, a wonderful place & we will return!

The property was clean, easy to get to as soon as we step off of the Catalina Express se had 0 problems. Our time was phenomenal. The golf-cart ran perfectly fine. Kitchen was fully stocked for us to cook a meal the night we came in. Would definitely recommend!

We’ be back!
We had a great time here in January. The views are insane. The property was so quiet, super close to the heated pool and hot tub (pool towels in unit), free golf cart use was great, and Hamilton Cove is just slightly past Descanso beach Club so it’s really not far from town. I wish the golf cart had seat belts since we had a little one with us. The downstairs bed is suuuper squeaky. And we could have used another pan. All minor complaints for such a relaxing few days! We’ll be back!

Great place to relax
Place was a short 20 minute distance from the casino. Great view of the sea from the master room. Was a bit dusty and of course the ants, overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Comfortable Condo
We had a nice family vacation here. The golf cart ran nicely. The master bed (king size, I think) was very comfortable. Lots of space in the master bedroom. Nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed including a blender, pots pans, etc. No wine glasses though. Also, remember to grab either plastic or cans when getting your groceries before heading to the condo. As with the other reviews, there were a few ants, not too bad. A few wear and tear items (mirror, banister, golf cart pedal, kitchen counter in one spot) like mentioned previously in reviews. And there are 55 steps, not bad for us, but something to consider if traveling with an injury. Otherwise, very nice and comfortable. The sofa was good for my children, with a pull out queen size mattress and Plenty of extra bedding. We enjoyed the pool and spa. Thank you for letting us rent the condo.

Great location, great amenities, not clean
The property itself is great. Having your own golf cart to move around the island is a plus. We are a family of 6. So 2 people will need to sleep on couch. No extra blankets provided. The closets inside the rental are filthy and smell. The extra comforters we found were dirty and had stains. We had to go to town and pay $40per blanket for a blanket for the 2 sleeping in couch. No lighter provided to turn on grill, had to go buy that as well. We tried to boil water and the pot was grimey. The coffee maker where you put water is rusted, didn’t want to get sick so I didn’t use it. This property says they are under new management however things in the condo need to be updated, like broken Mirrors and a broken latch to a window. Broken countertop by the sink. The door to the patio is also a tough one, hard to open, hard to close. No napkins provided in kitchen either. Luckily the pool was back open and our kids had fun there. Please note this place is quiet by 9pm! But before 7am you will hear noise outside from maintenance crews. Don’t expect to sleep in. Hamilton Cove is supposed to be higher end and it’s not cheap. At least wash your comforters, and have clean working kitchen equipment, specially in the time we live now with corona virus. Cleanliness and sanitizing should be your priority.

Great place in Hamilton Cove
The unit is fantastic - it is perhaps nicer than the pictures suggest. Management was very responsive to our needs while we were there. We would book again. My only suggestion would be: There were a couple of small items (none of which are important or impacted our stay) that had some previous damage (ie a crack in a decorative mirror), that would be nice if they were preemptively disclosed at check-in, just so that we knew we wouldn't be held responsible (kind of like a rental car pre-inspection where the known dents are already marked). A wonderful unit on a great island. Thanks!

Beautiful property but for the price...
Hamilton Cove was beautiful , and our rental had a great view. However, for the price we paid per night we would have appreciated things like wine glasses ( at least one), soap for the washing machine ( we were asked to wash the towels before we left), not having to unload the dishwasher when we got there, and not having to handle the laundry left in the washer and the dryer. Additionally, the gas gauge in the golf cart did not work, so that left us on pin & needles the whole time. Lastly, there was hair on the bathroom floors from prior guests . All rather minor things , but for almost $1800 for just two nights we were expecting the best.

Maintenance needed
There are 4 things to recommend about this property. 1) Location of villa. Just the right amount of stairs to feel like you’re getting a little exercise without wearing yourself out. Parking is right at the base of the stairs making it more convenient for coming and going. 2) Golf cart was in good condition and as a 6 seater has plenty of room for passengers and gear. 3) View. Nice ocean views from the living room and master bedroom. 4) Washer/Dryer located right outside the front door. On the other hand, the villa is in serious need of maintenance and sprucing. Many things are broken and need repair and/or replacement. A couple examples are the large mirror on the wall as you walk in has a large break, kitchen counter top has a significant crack by the sink, counter/top next to the stove does not line up, door leading to the patio does not close properly or lock. Table on patio has broken legs and can not be moved to accommodate seating on the very small patio. This villa could be an attractive and comfortable unit with some much needed attention to maintenance. Lastly, for guests staying several days (we stayed a week) the unit should come stocked with essentials (enough dishwasher soap, laundry soap, paper towels, tissue, TP, etc., for at least several days). Guests are asked to run the dishwasher and start a load of towels upon departure yet supplies are not offered. We purchased everything and left behind what was left over for the next guest. I hope this information is helpful and will encourage some much needed TLC for the villa. Thank you.

Great place to stay. Great views.
We really enjoyed this condo with the views and location. It was clean and quite. We did get our exercise walking up and down the hills within the association and the 52 steps it takes to get into the condo from the street. The pool is closed due to COVID but we checked out tennis rackets and croquet equipment from the guard gate to play on the community tennis court and croquet field. This is a great place to stay with a golf card that accommodates six people. The drives between the condo and downtown every morning and evening for meals was pleasant and takes about five minutes. We would not have stayed in Hamilton Cove if the condo did not come with a golf cart though. The walk up and down the hills to town would have been more exercise than we would have wanted.

Family enjoyed the place. The view was spectacular. Waking up and going to bed with the ocean sounds was so therapeutic. The golf cart was the added bonus. A few things were damaged in the condo prior to our arrival so we couldn’t fully use the patio, window, etc. But for the most part, best place we’ve booked thus far. Would book it again in a heart beat.

Nice getaway
Home was nice with great views. Golf cart was much appreciated! Both beds were extremely uncomfortable, might as well slept on the floor. Master toilet kept running, I had to manually fix it at least twice a day. Definitely coming back to Catalina, but at a different Villa in the same neighborhood.

A short getaway
Absolutely loved the location of our stay. The golf cart was a great plus however transportation to and from the ferry was difficult to find. We ended up walking to the house and back - it was definitely an adventure. Overall great time on Catalina Island.

Nice place
We enjoyed our stay. Would have liked more details in advance about amenities. I had inquired about the bed size in smaller bedroom but didn’t get a response until after the cancellation deadline (and second request) so I was stuck with it. Be aware there are 51 steps up to the property, which can be tough when carrying luggage and groceries. It was great to have a golf cart included. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely do it again.

Good visit
We enjoyed the Island but were disappointed in the service of the property. We told them there were 4 of us (ranging in age from 60's to 70's) but they only left of 3 towels. We paid alot for cleaning service and were told to put laundry in washer and start it and put dishes in dishwasher and wash them. Yet, there was no dish soap for dishwasher or even to do by hand. Next time will try B and B.

Amazing property with breathtaking views and fun golf cart
This was our first time in Catalina. Hamilton Cove is a great place to stay. The unit was clean, comfortable and had amazing views from both bedrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, plates and condiments. The golf cart was an added bonus to use around the island. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back again soon. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely reserve this same unit. Communication with the property manager was great. She responded promptly to my questions prior to arrival. Just a few recommendations to the property manager: There is a hair dryer in the guest bath, but not one in the downstairs master bathroom. Both outlets in the guest and master bath went out when using the hair dryer and curling iron. We couldn't reset it with the button. Also, the downstairs master toilet runs after flushing. Lastly, we sat on the patio every morning and night to catch the sunrise and moon rise, which was awesome! But the patio chair cushions are torn and could be replaced for added comfort. Other than that...we loved the place! Thank you so much!

The condo was beautiful and in a great location! The only complaint I would have is we had ants in the kitchen however friends who stayed in other condos at Hamilton Cove had the same problem. I was told it was the season. But other then that we loved it! Thank you again for having us.

Other than a terrible ant problem our stay was good. Chela and her team are great! the place was perfect and very clean. We felt very safe during this pandemic when we got there. We didn’t use the Kithen and yet there were ants everywhere and in the bathrooms as well. Also the pillows To be used For the couch needed Pillowcases I could find them so we shared the main bedroom’s pillow. Thank you for shRing such a Unix unit. The decoration is beautiful.

We've stayed at Hamilton Cove quite a bit and this is one of the nicer units. It’s been remodeled, of course the views are fantastic and it’s only a couple flights of stairs to golf cart parking. The smoke detector went off while I was cooking bacon and it took awhile for it to go off which was annoying. But then the fire department showed up (5 trucks!) to confirm the safety of the unit. It seemed excessive, the firemen said it happens all the time and it’s because the smoke detector is right above the stove. I’m glad the FD is committed to our safety but it could have been avoided with a fan in the kitchen.
