We chose this hotel due to its spa & wellness facilities. These were a little disappointing. We had booked an 85 minute hot stone massage which wasn't worth the money. I've had comparable massages in different hotels, which were all cheaper and better. The ambiance was cold, no dimmed light and choice of music was poor. Not calm enough to put one in a relaxing mood. The massage itself was little more than rubbing warm stones up and down the body. Afterwards we were asked to relax in a quiet room, where we were lucky to even find space; quite crowed and noisy as people came and went.
The property itself is a quite disjoint with long ways to walk to e.g. restaurant and bar. We had expected a cosy place where one can spend the entire day, but the property was nothing like this at all. Luckily there are a range of eateries and bars in walking distance.
On the positive, the breakfast buffet was good, with decent variety of tasty continental and cooked breakfast items. If only the service had been as good. The waitress folded napkins in a quiet corner rather than waiting tables and serving beverages. Reception staff was pretty average too. There was little sense of customer care.
