Rustic cabin

The property seemed a little neglected over the last couple months. Had issues with plumbing and water not draining. Property owner was responsive but never fixed issue. Owner of cabin had sold the property and we were one of the last renters they had on thier books. Property description was accurate and was conveniently located to kings canyon

Unacceptable

If we hadn't arrived late in the evening and drove a distance to get there we wouldn't have stayed the first night. Instead we packed up and left at 6:30 the next morning. Using the kitchen or bathroom sink causes gurgling sounds in the shower. Using one side of the kitchen sink causes water to come up the other side of the sink. The bathroom sink also plugs up and drains slow. The shower is extremely small and you have to keep turning off the water otherwise you are standing in ankle deep water. The kitchen floor has numerous cracks in it and peeling off, exposing the subfloor. The kitchen light is an exposed light bulb because it doesn't have a cover. There is caked on dust on the top of the valences and drapes, and on the log wall in the bathroom next to the toilet. There was also dust on the rack you were to put towels. There were dust bunnies on the floor and very visible dust on the shelving in the room as you go into the bathroom. There is a fire hazard in the main bedroom as there is one outlet and they use 2 extension cords connected to each other to power a fan and 2 lamps. We were to stay 2 nights but only stayed one due to the deplorable condition of this cabin. We called the owner the next day to let her know and to ask to be reimbursed for the second night. We still haven't heard back and it has been 8 days. We have contacted VRBO help, explained the situation, emailed them pictures and they also have not been able to contact the owner or resolve the situation.

Charming cabin but needs cleaning and updating. While the toilet was clean, the shower should be updated. We saw a little frog in between the shower curtains, and our host did warn us about it-we did exactly how she instructed and let froggy out back to nature. The cabin has all the basic amenities that you could possibly need. We enjoyed the stay.

Lovely, tranquil stay

We had a wonderful time in Sequoia and the cabin was perfect for our visit. The host was conscientious and quick to respond, and the cabin had everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful.

Just what we needed.

This is a great location and it gave us the space we needed for 6. The neighborhood was very peaceful and a friendly rooster got us going each day. The drive to Grants Grove was relatively short. The cabin is a little more rustic which I like. I would recommend it.

Small cabin, very quiet and unplugged

Nice cabin but needs updates. No central air, which is ok since cabin is older but some smaller a/c units would be nice. There was only one a/c unit in the living room and it was not sealed up properly. The cold air kept getting out through that section. The other rooms got so hot during the day and no a/c available when we came back from Sequoia we wanted to rest take naps but couldn’t because so hot in the rooms. The pillows were so flat. Also there was no wifi available for streaming and no cable service so viewing options limited and dvd player very outdated didn’t let you forward or backup what you were visuals remotes did not work. Stove only had two burners that worked and toaster did not work. On the positive side we saw deer while having breakfast. There was a pond nearby, easy parking right in front. Free wake-up service with the rooster next door lol. Very close to one of the park entrance. Had ping-pong table and darts also a nice seating area outside. It had good assortment of dishes and cooking utensils. It was very quiet. Overall it was a mixed review stay had some good things and others just need to be updated.

No fireworks, dog friendly ,very comfortable, very nice host ,clean

We enjoyed the peace and quit environment. Buetiful views .bbqing each day .seeing the wild animals deers ,wild turkeys .all in all we love you come up to cabin and hope to be back next year for 5 nights first week july .Thank you all!!!!

Great for hiking the parks

Property is close to Sequoia and a Kings Canyon. We were able to do great hikes and have a comfortable place to come back and relax. It is definitely rustic but for us who were outside every day in the park it was great.

Beautiful Property

This property was beautiful. We arrived pretty late at night, which made the getting process a little overwhelming but still, we figured it out with the great help that Sulfiati provided! The cabin is a nice cozy cabin in the beautiful foothills area of Kings Canyon/Sequoia NP. Easy access to the parks. Even though there was a lot of road closure, she provided us great tips for how to get around! She was so communicative through the whole process and even made sure things were perfect while there! Definitely recommend!

Nice rustic cabin

Wonderful greeting by cabin owner. Some flooding recently presented issues getting into Sequoia Park but this awesome lady actually drew us a map of local roads to bypass the problem issues Nice pond below the cabin complete with singing frogs. The owner told us how to hike a short few hundred yards to a Native American archaeological site. Very interesting!!

Sulfiati was an exceptional host. She answered all of our questions promptly and thoroughly.

We enjoyed our stay. Sulfiati was wonderful. Asking if we needed anything and mostly giving us directions to the cabin and park because of road work. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and extras. There was a nice view from the patio.

Second stay at this lovely cabin

We stayed here on Christmas 2021, and wanted to come back in the spring but couldn't make it. We came back on January 2023 to enjoy the snow at nearby Kings Canyon park and were not disappointed. The cabin is clean and very cozy with a wood burning stove to keep it very warm. It has a well stocked kitchen and everything else you may need. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.

Charming Historic Cabin

My wife and I loved our recent stay at Sulfiati's cabin. Communication was impeccable and everything was as described. The cabin was perfectly rustic and the accents in the house were just right. Really appreciated the woodstove being stocked with firewood, kindling, and newspaper upon arrival. All we had to do was light it. Good place to get away into nature and "get off the grid", but had enough phone reception to communicate as neede . Great location near Kings Canyon National Park and great hospitality!

Amazing Stay!!

Could not thank Sulfiati enough for letting us stay at her cabin. It was perfect for my family and dogs and immediately felt at home when we arrived. The wood burning chimney warmed up the whole cabin and there are also space heaters to heat up the rooms as well. Only a 20-25 minute drive to Kings Canyon where we enjoyed playing in the snow. Looking forward to staying for a second time.

Cozy cabin 20 minutes away from kings canyon!

I was looking for something economical and near both kings canyon and sequoia and this was the place! As listed and mentioned, take all your food because there are no restaurants or stores near by. We took all our food and cooked all our meals for the 3 days we were there, we even BBQ’ed one night! We went during thanksgiving week so it was pretty chilly. There were heaters in the rooms and living room and also a wooden over that warmed up the entire house. This was a great house to unplug. There was little to no reception so we just ended our nights by watching DVD movies!
