Koppla av i detta vÀlutrustade tvÄ sovrum, tvÄ badrum hemma undangömt i Boreal Forest pÄ Lake Michigan kusten i hjÀrtat av den lugna sidan av Door County. Hemmet ligger ungefÀr 6 miles (10 minuter) frÄn Baileys hamn, 15 miles (15 minuter) frÄn Sister Bay eller Ephraim och 14 miles (20 minuter) frÄn Fish Creek. Hemmet Àr bekvÀmt belÀget nÀra mÄnga restauranger, affÀrer, vandringsleder, parker och andra lokala attraktioner.

Utanför kan du njuta av utsikten frÄn bÀnkar eller hÀngmattor lÀngs strandlinjen, eller nÀr du sitter pÄ det stora dÀcket framför huset. Eller kanske stekt marshmallows runt lÀgerelden. Med lite tur kan du se en pelikan, en skallig örn, en pileated hackspett eller en mÄsadyk för en fisk. En tvÄ-person kajak och tvÄ paddelbrÀdor ingÄr för att utforska sjön. Om du bara vill svalka dig i sjön, se till att ta med vattensko; berggrundstranden Àr stenig.

Det öppna stora rummet har stora altandörrar och fönster med utsikt mot Cana Island-fyren och Lake Michigan. Uteplatsdörrarna vetter mot ett stort dÀck som grÀnsar till framsidan av hemmet. PÄ svala nÀtter kan du ocksÄ njuta av den vedeldade spisen! Soffan, stor stol och andra sittplatser ger gott om sittplatser för konversation eller tittar pÄ en film pÄ 55-tums platt-TV med direkt-TV eller Blu-Ray-spelare. Soffan och storstol omvandlas till en drottning och enkelsÀng om du behöver. Dessa utdragbara sÀngar Àr bekvÀma - verkligen; inga fjÀdrar eller stödstÀnger att klibba fast i ryggen! Det finns ett stort skÄp som innehÄller ett brett urval av spel, pussel, filmer och böcker.

I anslutning till det stora rummet ligger matplatsen med ett bord med sex sittplatser bekvÀmt.

Matsalen öppnas till ett fullt utrustat kök; elektrisk ugn, mikrovÄgsugn, kylskÄp, kaffebryggare, brödrost och all utrustning du behöver. En gas- och kolgrill finns ocksÄ för grillning (gas och kol medföljer).

TvÄ sovrum. Var och en med en dubbelsÀng och gott om förvaring i det inbyggda garderobssystemet. SÀngarna har Casper-madrasser. Kuddar och sÀngklÀder levereras.

Ett sovrum ansluts till ett badrum med badkar och dusch. Det andra badet har en dusch med gott om skÄp. Handdukar och tvÀttdukar levereras.

Serene lake getaway

Can't beat the location for an incredible view of the Cana lighthouse. House is clean, well maintained and has everything you need. Wonderful place to unplug and unwind. Highly recommend for a peaceful haven.

Short stay with bad spring weather

Our stay was short and the weather was not good (rain and high wind the whole time). The view was great but the rocky shoreline made it more difficult to enjoy. The cabin was nice but both showers were pretty bad.

We stayed for three nights and had a relaxing fun time. The weather was clear one day and cloudy. We hiked ant Peninsula State Park and visited the Lighthouse (great view from the top).

Door county getaway

I wanted an out of the way, peaceful place on the water to relax and enjoy a few sunrises. This wooded property was perfect. Well equipped with everything we needed. Indoor fire place was much appreciated at night while playing games and sipping wine. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Just what we wanted!

The house was clean and had everything we needed. The view of the Canna Island lighthouse was delightful, especially at night. We did day trips to the state parks for hiking, took the Washington Island ferry, and enjoyed the local restaurants. The DVD collection at the house was huge, we did one of the jigsaw puzzles, and read the books about the local history. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the water pressure in the showers was great. We would definitely stay here again!

Great property

Really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was well-stocked, we loved the heated floors, the lighthouse was gorgeous at night, and everything worked perfectly. The only suggestion I have is to update the shower head in the larger bathroom - it was not the best shower experience because it sprays all over and I don’t usually wash my hair every day. Other than that - loved the property and would come back!

Weekend Refresh

The cozy house was a perfect spot for our girls’ weekend. We enjoyed the view of the Cana Island Lighthouse and the sounds of the calming waves. The open concept main living space was perfect for cooking meals (and the heated floors in the kitchen were an extra bonus). The beds were comfy and having two bathrooms was very convenient. I would love to stay here again!

A Great Home with Beautiful Views

My husband and I have done a number of VRBO rentals over the years. This one ranks in the Top 5. It is a comfortable home and one of the better stocked homes. The view of Lake Michigan, even from inside the home, is gorgeous. Everything about our stay was easy. We highly recommend this home.

One of a Kind

Location, location, location...FABULOUS! Steve and Amy's attention to detail is obvious both indoors and outdoors. The accommodations checked all the boxes for the two of us. We used the kitchen for meals and had fires in the fireplace each night. The heated tile floors were a special cozy feature. The best seats for watching a sunrise are down the path from the house on one of the two benches along the water. It is peaceful and awe-inspiring. There is a beach area not far from the house (with no large rocks and stones) to enjoy. Guests are provided information about the many things to see and do in Door County, especially for each season. We were on the walking trails in The Ridges Sanctuary for hours after visiting the Nature Center and Gift Shop. Thankful the 30 acres were preserved. Also, Cave Point County Park and Whitefish Dunes State Park are worthwhile along with many specialty artists studios and boutiques. Your adventure is sure to be one of a kind.

A Wonderful Oasis in the Woods

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully appointed house. A Lovely Haven in the Woods

Beautiful facility - had any amenities a guest might need. The beauty of it all was breathtaking...I was absolutely enthralled by the Cana Island Lighthouse and spent many hours on the deck and the benches by the beach just taking it all in. The cottage was so comfortable! After spending the day shopping/sightseeing on the Green Bay side, it was so nice to return "home" to the calm, serene surroundings of the cottage in the woods.

Great place for a Fall stay in northern Door County

We prefer the lake side of Door County - "the quiet side", and this place was a great fit. The house is surrounded with trees and the only thing we heard was the sound of wind and waves hitting the shore. The house is in excellent shape and has all the creature comforts one would need.

Pure Bliss

It’s not possible to describe just how gorgeous this property is. We stayed for the second time at this house and loved every second. In fact, we booked our third stay before we even left. The sunrises here may be the most peaceful, magical thing I’ve ever experienced. It’s downright restorative to stay here. The house is fully stocked with anything you could possible need, making it a true retreat. We’ll always come back - this is THE place to stay in Door County. Absolute heaven. Beauty by the lighthouse

This was our second stay at Boreal Beach House. It is a wonderfully clean and private sanctuary in the woods with an incredible view of Cana lighthouse. Our first family vacation as a family of 4. The house was very clean and cozy. We loved being nestled in the trees and at the same time having a stunning view of the lake and Cana Island Lighthouse. Steve and Amy are wonderful hosts, thank you both so much! We will definitely be back.
