Perfect Location for a Wedding
We stayed at the Fire Cottage as part of a Wedding Party on the Island. The location could not be beat for proximity to the Ferry terminal and all of the functions for the wedding. Really enjoyed the location and the uniqueness of the property. Having the golf cart included was superb.

UNDERWHELMED
Front door lock broken, front door blinds broken roaches in hall and kitchen cabinet, decorated with thrift store rejects and nothing matched (nautical comforter and shams with Peanuts linens, geometric pillows on sofa with striped throw rug, black/white towels in ORANGE bathroom), broken nightlight on far side of bed and shower handle, no toiletries, bar soap or hairdryer, no plates, one stale Kuerig coffee pod and rock hard creamer...for the outrageous price of $800+ for two nights! Broken windshield in dirty golf cart. The tv was okay and the white bathmat the only new and nice accessory.

Visit to Bald Head
We have been to Bald Head many times. Howe er this is the first time we werent allowed in the golf shop where I usually purchase a golf shirt for my.grandson. Bald Head island Club does not welcome non members inside the gates. It seems its a very closed community. And there are very few restaurants available for non members.

Mother / Daughter Get Away
So thankful we had the opportunity to stay in such a unique place. Literally right the water in the marina. Might as well been a boat. The golf cart to explore the island was perfect. The host was very helpful and responsive. If you have the opportunity, I would recommend it.

Great and snafus handled so well
Such a cute little spot! There were some unavoidable glitches (compressor on ac went out and it’s an island so no repair available on the weekend) but the owner was so gracious and handled it so appropriately. It’s a 5 star for me, but would be over the top if could get ac ice cold and pitch black dark! There is some harbor and sunrise light - I loved it but I’m always up early.

Perfect Getaway Cottage
The Fire Cottage was a perfect weekend getaway to immerse yourself in all things Bald Head, and just relax overlooking the marina. In my 20+ years of renting through VRBO across the US & beyond, I've never had a host as accommodating and gracious as Jules. We'll be back & often!

We needed one night and a late check out and Julie couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating than she was. Always responded quickly to emails. Bald Head Island is the best and Fire Hut was just what we needed.

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary. Great location, easy stay and came with a golf cart!
Jules was great! She made sure we had everything we needed. Even a golf cart, which is a must on BHI! The space isn’t big but it was perfect for a weekend getaway for two.

Perfect Island Paradise
This was an unbelievable experience staying at Fire. From the moment boarding the ferry until the final hour on the beach was absolutely perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone. Julie was super responsive and helpful. Could not have asked for a better trip, we will certainly be coming back!

Check in the unit had not been cleaned. Owner was very Responsive and had it cleaned right away and refund of the cleaning fee. It could be appointed better with extra pillows beach towels shampoo amenities only one wine glass etc.

Unfortunately the cleaning girl went to the wrong unit and the previous guest left it extremely messy. I did have it taken care of ASAP and did my best to accommodate your extra pillow and blanket request. It's not a hotel room, shower accessories are not included. Since your stay we have added an additional wine glass.

We got engaged at the top of the lighthouse!
Although this trip was a wonderful and memorable one, we were disappointed with the fact that the fire hut had a cigarette smoke smell to it. Other than that, it was a perfect spot and had amazing views!

Congrats Lisa. I apologize but I do not allow smokers in Fire Hut, unfortunately people do not follow the rules and it's a small place. If you would have let me know I could have had my cleaning lady come use a sanitizer that would have removed the smell.

Fantastic cottage for a weekend get away!
If you are looking for a few days to get away this is your place. Quaint cottage, great location with spectacular harbor views. Owners are very fantastic and very responsive. Perfect BHI retreat and will be returning soon.

Fantastic little place, right on the marina. We used our own boat as ferry.
We spent 5 days (and our 25th wedding anniversary) in the Fire cottage, and rented a slip on C Dock, just steps away from our front door. It is truly waterfront with three large windows overlooking the marina toward Oak Island Light House. Julie was a gracious and helpful host and quickly answered any questions we had. We hope to be back.

Best kept secret in the marina!
The Fire Element was the perfect get away location. The place is much bigger inside then appears online, very clean and great BHI location. The marina area is charming and picture perfect for a beach vacation. Owners are very accommodating, extremely kind/friendly and tentative to questions about the rental and/or BHI in general. Could not have asked for a better stay and will be sure to back at this rental!

Wonderful getaway in great location
This is our favorite place to stay on Bald Head Island! We have stay in other areas on Bald Head but LOVE the Marina area best. The views and sunset over the marina is gorgeous and you can easily walk to great restaurants. Bald Head is a good escape place!
rental was just as advertised. a little caught off by advertised price of $200, only to see it be actually over $400. it's ok in the end. comparable to hotel rooms there and we were totally independent. golf cart made it worthwhile. not much to do on BHI other than escape reality.

We were extremely happy with the small cottage but very disappointed in the condition of golf cart.
The house was just what we were looking for and was clean and a good location. We were disappointed with the condition of the golf cart. Windshield was non existent and cover protection zippers did not all work. Wish we would have known this ahead of time. We probably would not have rented this house, since golf cart important part of staying on island.

I'm very sorry to hear this but wish you had let me know when you were at the Element. I was there 2 weeks ago for maintenance and the golf cart was in good condition and the windshield was certainly on it. I'm assuming someone wrecked the windshield without letting us know. Unfortunately since the cart is left out in the Harbor sometimes there is damage from others who are not renting. The cover will be replaced. Thank you!

Spectacular
Bald Head Island was more beautiful than we could have imagined. This studio is in immaculate condition and I would highly recommend it if you are a couple who like to spend your vacation outside and on the go, which we would strongly encourage with all of the beaches and natural beauty that Bald Head Island has to offer. The owner is very responsive and helpful. Enjoy your vacation!

The owner Jules was very informative, helpful, and responsive. We had a great stay on the island and loved being close to the bars and restaurants in the marina area. a charming place to stay
The Fire "Hut", which is one of the Elements group of little cottages on the harbor, is very attractive, and such an easy place to stay. We had a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, and a little Pullman kitchen with fridge and microwave. Recommended.
