Great Property, Verbally Abusive Owner
Property itself was nice and matched the online description. Owner is an angry, abusive man who creates confrontation. In isolation a good place to stay, but I’d reconsider before financially supporting him personally.Our group was running minutes late on check out morning. We were finishing packing/cleaning when the owner and property manager arrived at 11:15. Owner immediately began screaming at us to get out of the house and insulting us personally. We vacated the house at 11:30 and packed our cars in the driveway. Upon saying our goodbyes, we took a selfie with the house in the background, attempting to have good memories of our stay.Owner couldn’t handle this and soon after sprinted down the stairs and towards me (packing my car) screaming “Get the f*** off my property.” My wife addressed his partner pleading “you need to tell him to back up”. Her response “I’m trying” shows how out of control the owner was. I was in fear of potential violence from this unhinged owner, so I called 911. Only when on the phone with the dispatcher preparing to send a police officer did the owner disengage and return inside, allowing me to finish packing my car and leave.Arriving at your property 15 minutes after check out and looking for a confrontation does not reflect well on the entire experience. I’m very disappointed that the owner ruined what had been an enjoyable weekend at his property.
