La Hacienda Rio on Medina River - Tranquility Life

Come and enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful Medina River. The house sits on 2 acres and is privately located with 150ft of river front. Relish the beauty of nature and refresh yourself by relaxing & exploring the calm crystal water of the Medina River. At the end of the day relax on the 40ft Texas size covered porch overseeing the hill county. By night enjoy a cozy fire. La Hacienda Rio is a newly built home with all the furnishing and amenities you'll need to enjoy your stay.
La Hacienda Rio is located in a rural subdivision. The property has three different elevation levels of terrain. As you arrive you will drive pass the first level of land where deer rest and make their home.

The house is located on the second level providing scenic hill country and river views. In the morning enjoy a cup of coffee on the front or back porch while deer and other wild life come by and visit. Cook your meals in the beautiful rustic modern kitchen and dine on the Texas backporch. Relax with your family on the comfortable patio furniture, use the propane fire pit for the ambience or to keep warm. At dusk watch the bats flying around near the porch. By night take in the sky view and look for the Big & Little Dipper, make sure to download a constellation app. Enjoy some caveman TV - fire up the primitive fire pit during the day or night and have some delicious s'mores! We have plenty of fire wood for you to burn. There are several sitting areas to take in nature, read a book or lay on the boulders and watch the sky. Explore the wooded areas on the property and admire the birds chirping around. Be careful you may run into a deer.

On the third and bottom level is the Medina River with its beautiful crystal water flowing downstream. There are a few sitting areas and a picnic table with an umbrella for guests to use. Bring your picnic basket and drinks to spend the day by the river. This is the perfect location for you to get all the rest and relaxation you deserve from your daily life. Throw out a blanket and take a nap as you listen to the river babble. As you spend your day in front of the calm river, watch for deer herds crossing the river. The deer are most active during sunrise and dusk. Get a glimpse of the wildlife living on the river - egrets, turtles, mallard ducks and on occasion see the cattle roaming on the Walker Ranch. Trek down the river and explore the dinosaur prints, climb the boulders near by and immerse yourself in the water pockets directly in front of La Hacienda Rio. This is tranquility life.

At night retreat to the home and decompress in the fine furnishing and comfort La Hacienda Rio has to offer!

Deeper water is located nearby. As you are looking at the river go left for fishing, swimming and kayaking.

There is an RV site available for rent for an additional fee. If your family or friends own an RV they can rent the site so they can join you during your stay at La Hacienda Rio. The RV site is located on the first level of the property. Make sure to inquire on the RV site fittings for electrical, water and sewer.

Guest must rent the space for themselves, absolutely NO 3rd Party Bookings allowed.

The house sits on a bluff with 2 acres of property. Guest will have private access to over 150ft of river front. The Walker Ranch is located across the river from La Hacienda Rio, providin privacy during your trip. The river is low so enjoy time laying in the water pockets of the river or long walks exploring the beautiful nature.

Outdoor cameras are located on the front and back of the house for everyones safety and security.

We are in the process of clearing the property for better walking access so there are some brush piles around the two acres of land.

No smoking is allowed inside the house. No parties are allowed and guests will not exceed six individuals. Additional guests will cost $35 per stay. Please inquire for discount rates.

A $100 non-refundable pet fee is required. Make sure to bring your pets bed, food bowl and kennel. Please do not allow your pets on the beds or sofa, help us keep pet hair to a minimum so we can continue to host your furry ones. Address any accidents immediately on the carpets to keep them smelling and looking clean. If you leave your pet in the house alone, please kennel them to make sure they do not chew on any items.

Reservations on 14 days or more will require an additional security deposit. Pet fee will be $175 per pet, please inquire.
