Fantastic suite - service completely appalling
The suite has a fantastic view, bed is nice and sheets of best quality. However - I sent an email to the hotel 3 days before our check in asking for early check in. I got no reply. Due to rescheduled plans we were already in Bangkok the day before, I then went to the reception with my inquiry. The woman said they would arrange check in at 1 pm instead of 2 pm. When we arrived the day after - another person in the reception said check in is at 2 pm. I explained my arrangement and what his colleague had promised us the day before. His answer was: you can check in at 2 pm. He also said the reception would be open at 6 am when we needed to check out and go to the airport. It wasn't. He also said that we were given a voucher for a free cocktail at the hotel bar, which was not true. When I check in to a 150 USD suite, I expect service at a much higher level. I expect my emails sent to the hotel to be answered, and that staff knows when the reception is open. It hurts how poorly they manage their hotel, which has the possibility of being on of the best boutique hotels in bangkok. We had spent 3 weeks traveling around south east Asia before we arrived here; even the simplest of hotels/guest houses provided better service and a more welcoming atmosphere. Staff at the hotel bar was very nice though. Spend your money on another hotel if you want to have a luxiourious experience.
